It is so nice to see someone still making these lovely works of sailing arts, Thank you for sharing and thanks you to the owners for commissioning this wonderful yacht and allowing you to share it with us.
K6 looks great and I'm glad one was build. I built a 3/4" to a foot NYC 30. MIT was a great help with the plans. Lofted the lines in Autocad from the offset book pages. Interesting that Herreshoff only used the books and lofting floor. Think of doing NYC 70.
I find it hard to believe that this vessel was designed in 1904, but then again, I couldn't believe that The Planets Suite authored by Gustav Holst was composed between 1914 and 1916. Both seem to me like they came from a much later era.
I wish I knew how much they got paid to build that boat. Similar size sailboats go for about 300k. I also noticed that they cut into the frames deeply to fair them for the planking. A little math beforehand and they could have determined the rhombus angle of the frames in order to minimize material removal while making the overall process of bending the frames easier. This really shows the inexperience of the builders. I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but that is the fact of the matter. They damn near cut the nuts off that attach the frames to the floor beams.
Hereshoff sure knew how to design a boat. And the builders and riggers did an amazing job. Simply beautiful.
素晴らしくクールな艇ですね。これをホームビルドで作った技術に感心します。何よりも素晴らしいスタイルに惚れました。
ドランゴン艇ににたラインの艇が滑る姿は絵になります。素敵な映像に感謝、ありがとう。

"She should be very fast in light air and smooth water, and downwind in all conditions. Upwind in a breeze she’ll be wet, and exciting"
Sweet boat and sweet video, my compliements to the builder and the videographer !
How about a little love for the man who whittled her model out in the first place - Nathaniel G. Herreshoff.

Where can I get the plans for this boat 🚢. I like the lines of the boat and I would like to build a similar boat soon.
The people to contact are mentioned in the notes posted below the video.
She's fast too.
lindo barco .
Bet this little masterpiece cost over$100,000!
Yachting consists in tearing bundles of 500 bills in an ice shower .. And art demands a little money
how much does one of these boats cost to have built? What does it look like down inside the boat?
Da iawn!!
Men build wooden boats in an attempt to emulate the beauty of Nature by God's hand

Well, lets see your boat you made so perfectly. What a jerk you are
All it takes is money.
I do not unterstand what you mean
wood is being thrown by thousands of tons, yet you cut new trees to make a primitive manufacturing high wood weight boat...
wooden boats are lighter than fiberglass and better for the environment in every case. what are you talking about
