- Hello and welcome back to another episode of The Dive! Azael, Kobe, and Meteos recap the latest rounds of playoffs, the Kia Top 6 MVP, Jensen as Player of the Series, and make their predictions for Spring Finals. They also discuss what it takes to be at the top, the importance of team dynamics, and the best/worst scrim strategies!
Also, Kobe doesn’t know who Lionel Messi is (he knows his name, but wouldn’t recognize his face). Is that crazy? Or is it actually impressive, in this day and age?
Anyways, FINALS are THIS WEEKEND - Cloud9 takes on Team Liquid Honda in the Lower Bracket Finals on Saturday, March 30th at 1PM PT / 4PM ET, while the winner will face FlyQuest on Sunday, March 31st at 1PM PT / 4PM ET. Who will take the #LCS trophy? Who will be going to MSI?

Hey guys, love the Dive, but big criticism: if you’re trying to make an image for a hype train please use a larger locomotive than Strasburg 89, a 2-6-0 Mogul type is a relatively small one and something like a Pacific or Northern type locomotive would be better.

If I remember correctly Bwipo and Inspired never trashed Jensen. Bwipo mentioned him by accident but corrected himself and said Busio and Massu
the specific thing they brought up as well was just an example using his current midlaner not that he has to hold jensens hand the whole game. as well as saying he also is the inter sometimes it happens.
Yeah, I took it all more like the newer players aren't used to playing this particular way as a team and Inspired is really good at reminding/drilling it. Definitely didn't feel like Bwipo and Inspired were saying their teammates were bad, felt like they were saying their teammates are good and getting better.

I didn't really see Bwipo as flaming his team during Pros. I thought it was just talking about how he can focus on his own game instead of focusing on others. I think Bjergsen talked about something similar when playing with Core during that short stint on TL.
People were calling Prince the best import NA had ever seen. The HYPE was much higher back then compared to now.
Which is wild cuz Inspired ran the league for like a year and a half. IMO inspired is our best import now but Impact is the best across LCS history

I personally love Inspired, I think every good player needs to have this sort of confidence. sure, he won't fit into any team, that's why he clashed with his Rogue teammates. but time and time again we have seen that teams are most successful when they have one strong voice with everyone else following

difference is that they are both incredibly intelligent and skilled players and can back up their egos, unlike people like APA and Jojo or any other c9 monkey

I will say, this split has been the most entertaining split for me personally since 2016. From a PR standpoint sure, maybe Inspired shouldn't flame his own team mates so hard in public. That being said, I also love the confidence and main character energy so many different players are bringing to their trash talk. Even if a player says something dumb or out of pocket, it just makes it more interesting for a lot of fans since it gives us a reason to root against certain players if they say something we don't like. Keep the trash talk rolling. It's good for viewership, good for the competitive environment, and in 99% of situations is not likely a personal attack(might not be true but it doesn't seem personal to me)
LCS has put out some really fucking good content this season. Love it.
I'll never understand how people still underestimate Inspired. Bro is one of the two best junglers EU has produced in the last five or so years, probably the best.
Listening to an hour of this as a podcast and then coming to the UA-cam video to see Meteos wearing a C9 shirt made me laugh out loud.
How come Meteos always looks like he is always still trying to wake up? No hate on the hair cuz Im always trying to make mine look like his but his hair always looks like Kobe has to wake him up from bed every time the camera is about to cut back to him.

jojo never died in lane on Yone and had crazy cs even in game 2. In game 1 he got killed twice in lane phase, rest was him getting caught. I really don't think he was camped or shut down by any sort of special attention put towards him, he just genuinely played poorly. In one of the side lane deaths in game 3 he just didn't want to ult away or something and so he died. This was when C9 had like a 3k gold lead and that fight was such a huge win for FLY that almost the entire gold lead disappeared.
Meteos needs to coach IMT. He has such a good in depth understanding of the game and as long as his players weren't trying to argue for fun I think the team would have a bunch of success!
Original C9 with Sneaky was all self coached by the players and look where it got them!

Not necessarily awarded just because they've already been playing forever and are still going *cough Jensen* but someone we could see being being an old man yet still in the pro scene

World of Warcraft has been the number one MMO for two decades for a reason. That reason is not because nobody else was willing to innovate in the genre. They should have juat made a really good tab target MMO and accepted reality.

My recollection is they Jensen pretty much always plays out his lane properly.
Jensen now not when bjerg was around. Bjerg bullied that man and never spoke and Jensen always tried to flame him
he plays only for lane and himself, that was one of the biggest criticisms of his play. he played like chovy back when chovy didn't know how to play for his team and jensen is obviously nowhere as good as chovy.

That is a good question. I don’t think so just because of the fact that their bot lane is so young. Jensen brings balance to the team imo.
Q: How much of a factor is this: When top players stop dominating because they are figured out(studied) and fail to adjust their playstyle or champ pool. Is this a key factor in why great players fade away?

Hot take: The LCS teams going to MSI should lie to their players and tell them they booked scrims with some top LCK or LPL teams but then have their challenger teams join the lobby from a different hotel room using the player names of the eastern teams players and pick champions they would normally play. Let the LCS teams farm confidence before they go to actually play them. Maybe it works maybe it doesn't, would be a cool experiment!

I love player on Cloud9 but I fell like the team is not properly playing around Jojo and Berserker. Even Bwipo and Inspired told that the 3 games vs them no one play around mid and he's the only one trying to create something in the game. I don't get how you pay a huge amount of money to get this mid and adc but the match plan is not to enable them so they can carry. Love blaber but i really don't like the synergy with jojo :(
