20 years ago, I loved Z, and I'll buy it for that alone. I used to play it on Em Ess - Dee Oh Ess 😂

This is the first blue cart that I have been excited about since home computer heroes collection. Chaos Engine was worth it alone for the first Bitmap Brothers collection. I don't have any nostalgia for the Amiga but I am looking forward to this collection and can't wait to see what other collection they pair with it.
Should I get the first BB cart? Are there more good ones besides Chaos Engine?

@@cyrollan, kinda looked like that to me. I’m in the minority in not liking CF, so I probably wouldn’t enjoy that game. Who knows though? I’ll give it a try. I may end up liking it….IF I end up buying the cart. I think I’m leaning on buying it though. There’s 3 games that looked intriguing to me👍
@@GameFreak1976 with Evercade, I've discovered that CF doesn't really reward RTS skill, so that game holds up less for me 25 years later. I seem to remember Z being a little more rewarding if you got the skill. All I ask is that you give it a shot when you get the cart 🎸🥁🤘

Wasn't never into the Speedball games, so the 1st Collection was a no for me. This one though looks good to me! Thanks for the video! Now it's time to Game On!
To be honest, if you have no nostalgia for these games, you'll probably be disappointed. The games are not as playable/forgiving as modern games but were really popular back in the day over here in Blighty. The Bitmap Brothers were the Rockstars of gaming back in the day, so their games carry a lot of kudos. I'll definitely be picking this cart up because I have a lot of nostalgia for these games but if you didn't like The Bitmap Brothers Collection 1, this cart won't change your mind. Keep up the awesome work!

This cart does look good. Agreed that the first bitmap bros cart didn't look so hot.

At least they're not C64 games again. 😂 A few of those do intrigue me, but I'd have to see some reviews of the games, since I've never heard of any of those except for the Chaos Engine. This is definitely not a cart that I'm excited about, but who knows, maybe a couple of those titles will turn out to be pretty cool.
@@jmatt781, oh man! I’m SO glad it wasn’t another C64 cart. I’m considering purchasing it just for 3 of the games that look like they might be fun. I’m hesitant though….since I own no blue carts lol
@@GameFreak1976 I hear you. I have the bug to get another Evercade cart to add to the collection. I don't mind some of the games on the Home Computer Heroes. Pesci Robots started to become fun after I watched the The 8 bit Guy's videos on how to properly play it.

Cool your thinking of taking a look and hope you get some fun out of it. Yeah Cavader is no Landstalker on Sega Genesis, very janky and very of its time for Amiga. I tied back in the day and got bored of its jankyness. The jankyness works better with Gods as it makes you think more trying to unravel those secret areas with those switches ect...
The rest I'm interested in but wish Amiga Chaos Engine 1 was on the cart!
Hope you figure out something with your emu stick, very odd as Amiga is mostly 1 fire button gaming.

All of these games are on Antstream Arcade except for Z. Like you I know Z is not my type of game. Both Cadevers were snoozefest for me. Gods had potential but the controls are too janky for me. Chaos Engine 2 is split screen, even for 1 player game. I liked the first Chaos Engine better. Magic Pocket is the best game on the cart for me, and that’s not saying much. It was ok, it was playable, but nothing that you couldn’t wait to get home to play. This carts a pass for me, I’d never play it, I’m waiting on Toaplan 3!!

Sorry if you have already tried this, just a thought on your gamestick...
Real Amiga's use joyport 1 for mouse and joyport 2 for joystick aka 1 player. Try launching the game with controller 1 but then use controller 2 while controller 1 is still on to play.

@@MIKandJEAN, these gamesticks are known for having emulators that just don’t work. That’s why they’re only $30. Cheap Chinese stuff. Most of the emulators work fine. But things like the PSP are very laggy. The Dreamcast has games where the music is non existent. Other than a couple, the rest runs fine. Amiga just won’t play at all….same with the Atari-ST. There’s just some things unplayable on these gamesticks, which I already knew before purchasing it. No biggie to me though. 99.9% of the emulators that are on the stick play just fine👍

The first Bitmap Brothers cart does indeed look like a zero out of ten… BUT WHAT IF it now unlocks a hidden game with the second card on the VS… ?
I assume you're aware of the hidden version of Worms (Amiga) that's unlocked by having two carts?
@@VEGANVANIA, it’s a possibility. Honestly though, I haven’t been real impressed with any of the hidden games. Rather it’s using a code, cart combo, or button configuration. I think it’s a pretty cool concept, but Blaze always seems to offer us something “meh” when it comes to those games. Kind of like the Game of the months. Cool concept, but generally bad games.
I never play the game of the month… if I had been playing them, I wouldn't have bought that last "Indie" collection… even the stupid "Donut Dodo" game was SO MUCH WORSE than I could have possibly anticipated…
It’s a shame the game freak couldn’t be bothered to go find out the context of these games which is pretty easy to do … Kim Justice has done a great video on the bitmap brothers
@@anglocon, I’ve been gaming since 1982. I pretty much know what kinds of games I like and don’t like lol….and I’m always honest about it👍

@@crashline, exactly my thoughts. I knew it wasn’t going to be a purple cart, they made that clear. This cart doesn’t look horrible, but it doesn’t look real good either lol. I’ll probably pick it up to check out Gods, Magic pockets, and that other run and gun game. I’m definitely not going to have high hopes though lol. I’ll keep an open mind in the hopes that those games surprise me.
@@GameFreak1976 Those are the same ones I'm interested in. But only moderately so. I wanted more purple. heck I'd take a modern indie game or two.
This year has been disappointing for evercade...at least for me.
I am glad that some fans are getting what they want. Maybe next year I'll see more things appealing to me.
@@crashline, I feel the exact same way. I was really hoping for a better year. Especially after the way last year ended. The only cart I’m really excited for this year is the Toaplan 3 cart. Hopefully 2025 will be redemption.

I'm new to this. What do i buy in order to have 40,000 games /emulators. I'd like to build an arcade cabinet. Thank you!
Maybe start with an Anberjic handheld .. the one I recently got had thousands of Roms from a whole host of systems
@@ishmael2586, I’d probably go with the Kinhank Super Console X to power a cabinet. Those have around 65k games on them and run around $70 on Amazon. I’ve seen numerous content creators use them for the cabinets they built and they’re compatible with most arcade sticks or button and stick packages. Or you can do what I did and use the Evercade VS to power a cabinet. I also used a Nintendo clone console to power another cabinet I built. I have a couple videos on them. Feel free to check them out for some ideas👍
