The way you say Toaplan is identical to me and I'm in the UK. The name btw comes from "To A Plan", either Toaplan cart 1 or 2 manual has the story. Nice pick-ups, so it might have been Odd World 2 that had two discs and not the first game as you thought. I can hear Abe saying "Game On - Follow Me" 😂😂🤘🤘

On the one that is partially sealed. You can open the case and slide the disk out while keeping it mostly sealed. Are you sure the disk is still inside? 🤘🏽🎉🍻

We had a tax holiday here in Canada that suddenly rendered all video games 15 percent off. No, I'm not joking. It was totally unexpected, and lasts for two months. So I really tried to buy the last few things on my list, and then call it a wrap.

One game I bought and one I have not. Tempest X-3, an enhanced version of Tempest 2000 for the PS1. Worth whatever you pay for it. I managed to resist the temptation to buy Xevious 3D/G+.

I wish they'd called them the Tatsujin collections instead of Toaplan, reflecting the company's current name. And yes, we should see volume 5. "All your base are belong to us."

I hope you're still enjoying Life on Mars and Metal Dragon. I don't know if we've talked about it before as a possible game for Blaze to go after but you should check out Ultracore if you haven't already. I have it as a Genesis cart but I know it's available on the PS and Xbox and it's not quite Metroidvania like Life on Mars but has some Metroid aspects combined with Contra. Really fun game.

I think this is probably because of My Arcade's big line up, they are doing so well Arcade 1up wont be abel to match. They will just say its the cost of everything going up. That being said if you like collecting and having lots of clutter then you wont mind but if you like everything neat and preloaded then dont bother.

I think it depends... If they raise a cart to thirty dollars, but it's an original game, I see the value, and you have to account for the development. Five dollars per cart is not unacceptable, but they better bring it.

I have no problem with a price hike. If they would just put good quality games instead of fillers.

The main problem with the price increase is that there's already been a trend by retailers such as Amazon selling Evercade carts for higher than their RRP. Newer Standard Carts which should be £17.99 have been selling for over £20 with Giga Carts going for around £25. I'm glad I stopped with the "Gotta Get Em All" mindset about a year ago and just pick up the carts that I really want. Keep up the awesome work!

Wonder what kind new games come most cartridges now dnt have much off games only toaplan 3 and 4 and soul reacer and galexy boy and tomb raider

So I just started late last year in the Evercade system so I am not a collector by any means. I´ll continue to just get a few cards. But to be honest it is a steep price jump and I will be a lot more selective going forward.

I already have a full set and the price increase is a not an issue for me. I wouldn't be bothered if I didn't have a full set either, prices go up and it's not an absurd increase given the last increase was 2021. I think you're bang on that it won't mean carts are better or have more games going forward, the increase isn't to improve things, just to cover costs and probably future proof against further increases for a while.

Thanks for another great video brother. As a completionist the price hike will not affect me buying. I was expecting this sooner or later. The prices on everything has jumped. I still say that for $25 or $30 you get a cart with a bunch of games, instruction booklet and case to me that's still a deal. I mean we used to pay $30 back in the 80's for an NES cart with one game. Also, if you look at a game like Life on Mars, the Megadrive cartridge cost $60 Euros just by itself. I also get that not all games are great but trying games from systems I never had the chance to play is part of the charm.

I am not surprised. I am not a completionist either and will still buy the carts I am interested in.

There's currently 63 carts, I have 40 and am happy with it. I don't need all of them, I like the physical carts, the firmware updates, game of the month, the included games and multiple ways to play with all the various hardware. Think this is a good thing, more titles hopefully and more customer support. 🎉🎉

Price change probably won't affect what I buy. What games are offered might though. I think now that I've grown a somewhat respectable collection of Evercade carts, I might be a little more discerning about what I buy. My retro collection is outgrowing my shelving and it makes me second guess if I want to take home a large haul or order a bunch of games at once. Like you said in the video, do I really need it if I'm not going to play it? Shit, I've got hundreds if not thousands of games I barely play already. 😂 Lastly, the increase in American Evercade enthusiasts and the partnership with SNK might mean less Euro computer games and more Japanese arcade games; so if Blaze play their cards right, they will be releasing more stuff that appeals to the American retro gaming community. We'll see.

I'm not surprised by the price hike. Indi Heroes 4 will not be a great start to the year having to pay more for it. The second cart better be good! 😂😂
