Superb informative and relaxing tutorial. I have been using oils for a while and want to try something different. Never considered pastels before as they never seem to look realistic to me until I found your channel. Thank goodness for that.
Much appreciate the kind words Cyril... I have adapted pastels to the way I use oils... they are great fun to use and no fumes and cleaning of brushes to do after each session. lol. The work is superb and you’re instruction is awesome along with your voice which is soothing, I’m a pastelist in the US and have used pencils but in a different way! AWESOME

I started out my pencil drawings with pastel pencils but was determined to try and master coloured pencils. Have to say that they are quite tedious! Don’t work so well with landscapes. Thinking I’ll go back to pastel pencils - your work is inspiring.
Hi Maggie, my feeling too. coloured pencils tend to take a lot longer and require a more detailed approach. Pastels are so versatile they can be loose and also detailed. Thrilled you are finding my work inspiring... much appreciated 😊🙏
