Hello! Thanks for watching my video. If you have a craft room or office tour on your channel please let me know in the comments below. I love to watch tours of other people's craft rooms. Also, If you haven't had a chance I would love it if you would like this video and subscribe to my channel. Thanks friend!
Check out Dana K. White on You a Tube. She speaks the language of creative people who accidentally collect way too much crafting stuff. She’s helped me so much!
You're whole attitude was so cool to me, and I Def can relate to what you were saying . I have about the same space and my space is just a mess. (It's actually not a mess, but it's in bins where when I Actually wanna do something..it becomes a mess and I cannot actually work as long as I want because I have to put everything away
You are definitely not alone! I’m of the firm mindset that collecting craft supplies and actually using them are two totally different hobbies… both being so much joy! Love your video!
Lol so true!!!! It’s so much easier to go out and buy more than it is to pull together the mental acuity to actually craft. Plus I think our creative mind needs a change.
I think organizing them is another hobby so each thing does tri[le duty, which reduces the cost by two-thirds!! so really, we can afford 3X more hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaahah, your welcome ladies
OMG! When you were sitting on your bed describing yourself and how your brain works, I screamed with joy "Yes , that's exactly me and finally someone understands what I am dealing with!". Then you said what I have been thinking for years about the disconnect in the brain that is the part that makes you extra creative. Honestly, I also think that we are perfectionists. If we can't do something to perfection, we put it off and things start to pile up. Thank you for speaking so honestly about this.
@@FayeCatyeah, I’m the same and I’ve just started the process of adhd assessment. Well, general assessment, but with a mind towards adhd and cptsd, maybe autism. Even if it’s cptsd, it’s nice to know it’s not just that I’m not just stupid and lazy as I’ve been beating myself up for most of my life.
You are describing me. I was recently diagnosed with inattentive adhd and autism. You have described the neurodivergent brain. Those are all neurodivergent traits. That's how we think/act/are.
It's ADD for sure. And it can make any room in your house go from order to complete disorder in a blink of an eye. And putting in back together is another overwhelming process
I just found your video in my feed, probably because I am currently moving in to my first ever crafting room! I'm a two-boy-mom and my oldest moved out of our tiny home. My 13-year old moved into his old room and I claimed the now vacant room, because I need it. My house is so crammed and cluttered with my crafting supplies that it's unsightly and effects everyone. I also don't have a fixed space to work, which is not cool. I'm so excited about this! We cleand thoroughly, fixed holes in the wall and painted it petal pink (girl space!). I'm now trying to create the organization I crave for the myriad crafts I do. I thought I was the only one that skips from one medium to another. Glad to have found you! Thanks for the effort this video took.
It always cracks me up when I see youtubers say look what I found while cleaning my room! It totally reminds me of my childhood when I would clean my room and find treasure and tell my mom. She would make a remark about if I kept it clean things wouldn't go missing. So it tickles me when I see others are in the same boat.
lol of us crafty people have a collecting problem. We are so impressed by the colors, textures, sparkle, etc. that, in the moment, we have to have it. We’re a little shopping obsessed. I’m with you🤪🤗
Oh dear, you are not alone. Seriously, it's like I'm watching myself right now. You're awesome. Thanks for being brave and sharing your amazing small but mighty space. ❤
You have given me inspiration to set up my new craft room. My husband passed away just this past May 24th. My mom is moving in with me so that I don't have to sell my house. All my craft and sewing supplies are in the two small bedrooms at the moment and the master bedroom is my current bedroom. In order for my mom to move in, I need to move all the craft and sewing supplies from the two small bedrooms into the one big bedroom. That way, there is a bedroom for my mom, and one for me. They are tiny bedrooms and packed to the brim with all kinds of crafty and sewing stuff! So I really need to get started, but every time I go to start packing the stuff into boxes to move from room to room, I get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I have! But your video has given me inspiration motivation to get started. Thank you for showing us you craftroom makeover and the process. Brenda Moffett
Oh Brenda I am so sorry for your loss and also so sorry that your comment just now showed up on my page and it says it was from 10 months ago! I hope you are doing well and I hope you were able to get your craft room organized. Please comment back and let me know how that project went or if you need any tips on getting your space organized.
I'm so sorry for your loss and the position you find yourself in, I would be happy to come help however I could, I am disabled but could sit in the door and cheer you on, label boxes, or offer whenever you need them, whatever helps out just let me know
This is the first video of yours I came across and you truly made my day!! My room looks like your before and I’m trying so hard to get it under control. You have motivated me to keep on it! Thank you for sharing your true self so that people like us can know we aren’t alone!!
Oh I'm so glad my video has motivated you to keep working on your room!❤️ I get it, it can be so overwhelming but you've got this! Get those boxes, set your timer, and just do what you can in an hour. Put on a movie or binge watch UA-cam and that will make the time fly by. Let me know how it goes.
Here's a tip, Tracy. Begin staging like items together as you pull them out if you plan to do as she did. Or do as I am doing and pick one area to work on at a time. Work in sessions of time so you can avoid overwhelm. Reward yourself with something you want/ can afford for your studio and reward yourself after each cleaning session. Good luck! Share with us when you can. Creative Blessings!
OMG, you are my crafty sister!!! I am addicted to craft supplies of all sorts also. I just found you on UA-cam and the things you said about having so many things and getting overwhelmed and having stacks of stuff in all your empty spaces is definitely me! It has become almost a hoarder situation, it makes me so upset with myself that I have left it get so out of control. I’m going to listen to all your tips n tricks n try to make myself get my apt. back in shape, I have to also go through everything I have and donate stuff I do not act use or need. My girls have said if I need something later just buy it again. I have a tough time thinking if I get rid of things n have to buy it again it’s a waste of money but maybe they are right??? I am a new subscriber to your channel and am hoping to get the motivation I need from watching you! Keep on helping people like me, I greatly appreciate it!
@@marcellakramer7118 oh sister I totally understand! I too hate to throw or even give away items I may use later but your girls are right. The mess adds more stress to our lives than those items bring us joy. I say give yourself a timeline. If you haven’t used that item in a year, it goes. If you want to really experience joy from those items, donate them to an art teacher. You will make their day and you will enrich those children’s lives through art. 😍 If you need any suggestions you can always message me on my @goodgollygal Instagram. I’m happy to help. Best of luck friend and let me know how it goes.
We can definitely be friends BECAUSE your craft room looks like that 😂 and your honest enough to share it with us ❤️ I’m in the process of making over my craft room but I’ve hit a wall and started procrastinating. I have a feeling this is going to give me the motivation I need to get back to it 😊
Oh I know that feeling so well! I call it Creative Paralysis and it's the worst! You need to put on some UA-cam videos or a good Podcast and binge them while you clean. Good luck with your project. Let me know how it goes!
This is not just a transformation this is an act of God. It is miraculous what you accomplished, it’s stunning and beautiful and inspiring. Your aesthetic is breathtaking
Oh my! The story of my life! Buying and organizing is so much easier than actually starting a project! I think buying or collecting craft supplies is one hobby, organizing a second and actually crafting is a third! So glad it’s not just me!
You’re not alone. It’s adhd babe, and we all share your craft hoarding problems. Your video made me think about turning my spare room into a craft room so everything is in one spot!
ADHD??!! NO! As Frank Coppola explained it, “I prefer to distinguish it an abundance attention. Everything is so interesting remarkably at the same time.”😂 I can relate to everything you said!
YES! ADHD! I was diagnosed late in life and now realize how much it has affected my life and who I am. Good and bad but mostly good. I share the collecting tendencies and craftiness. The part about being messy but craving order resonated with me so much. I function so much better when I don't see clutter but it is so hard to keep things orderly!
OMG! You are living my life! I think I spend more time organizing, & re-organizing craft supplies than I do crafting. I keep buying more (more than I need) because it's pretty, or different, or I'm not sure I have it. It's a never ending battle.
So many organization videos take perfect and aesthetic rooms. I am wired like you: I wanna be organized, but I am messy. Seeing a video I can relate to has been so amazing and refreshing. Thank you for the inspiration and validation that craft supply collectors and chaotic creatives can still have a beautifully organized space
You re definitely not alone. Crafting, watching craft videos on UA-cam, looking for craft supplies, organising craft supplies, buying craft supplies are ALL separate hobbies.😁
So... I thought this said "Craft Room Madness" at first and clicked, then I was like "OMG their hair is so pretty!" And then noticed the ACTUAL title and decided to watch anyway because you're awesome 🥰
You are not alone! My crafting is limited to making jewelry, papercrafting, painting, flower arranging… having said that, when I sorted through my stickers, embellishments, and paper scraps, it was so messy and huge and so overwhelming that I had to leave the room when I was done!😮 went to a non-cluttered space… I am waiting with bated breath to see how you organize your supplies… those are the ideas I’m looking for! Thanks for sharing your space and your vulnerability with us!❤
Laughed out loud at the Hoarders reference - cleaning my craft room and just said that's what my room looks like. Loving your style of videos - so glad to have found you. Great video editing, sounds, and super interesting. Loved it all. Looking forward to watching more. Thanks for the inspiration!
I really feel like I'm watching myself in your video. And you are giving me so many good ideas because your craft room is exactly like mine. I feel like I have been fighting with the devil trying to figure out my organizations in my tiny tiny craft room.
I'm also a messy person who likes order! I came up with a strategy to always find what I'm looking for by.... when choosing where to keep something, I stop and think 'if I was going to look for this where would I look first?' and I keep it there because that pathway in my brain tends to always choose that place first. Works really well!
I don’t know why it took the algorithm so dang long to lead me to this video! I watch craft room tours and makeovers as a form of relaxation too! I almost never leave comments, but honestly, this is one of the most thoughtful, ergonomically smart and gorgeous makeover results ever! The mural! Just wow. Also, hope you’re not offended but I’m stealing the hardware organizer idea for beads and findings 😅 it’s genius. Thanks for sharing!
Love your video, Please Girlfriend don't apologize for the mess !!! One hour better feels so good, and gives motivation to press forward to the dream room. Thank yo for being brave to show us the real mess. My Craft room is also a Library,Office, part sewing room and my biggest clothes closet...P.S. and I have a separate sewing room (STUFFED) across the hall!!!
Oh girl, this has made me feel SO much better. You will never know just how big of a positive emotional impact this has made on me just knowing I'm NOT the only one who can't walk thru their "space"! This really does give me hope! And NO; I'm SO stressed out (losing sleep, physically sick, etc) about the mess I've allowed to happen in my craft room I CAN'T take a video. I'm beyond ashamed but I now have inspiration and the ability to breathe (a little)! TFS! I know this is WAY past your post but I've just now found it (thank goodness)!
Oh I’m so glad you found my channel! Listen I completely understand. It took a lot for me to share but I always swore if I started a channel I would be 100% myself. The good, the bad, and the messy! 😜 You are not alone friend! I’m going to do my first live video tomorrow (July 30th) at 3pm CST to discuss all things craft related and to talk about my room makeover. Hope you can make it.
Hi there. I have same symptoms you have, that I’ve battled with for 58 years. I’ve been to therapy and tried all kinds of antidepressants since 17. Was FINALLY diagnosed with highly ADHD. Since then I’ve watched several videos on undiagnosed ADHD in women. I’m so glad I did! I was shocked and shook to see how many of them were just like me. A lot of comfort in knowing I’m not lazy or crazy. I hope this helps. Not diagnosing you, please don’t take offense in this. Love and peace to you and yours.😊
I love it! I feel like we all need to create a support group for our love of craft supplies! 😂 So glad you found my channel! ♥️ Welcome fellow craft supply addict! 😜
Thanks for the great tour and for making it so fun… I believe the term speaking to the choir is in order as I imagine you would find the majority of people that watch the video in this channel love love love and “need” the marker for a little more fabric, or a little more paper for that next new shiny thing that feeds our soul I am right there with you girl
You are sooooooo not alone. My craft room is a disaster. You’ve motivated me to get on it! And my pen/marker/pretty paper/notebook addiction struggle is real. I can absolutely relate! They beckon me. Like an old K-Mart blue light special, I’m drawn to the school supply aisles in every store 🙈. Thanks for sharing and for showing your honest ‘before’ pics!
This is the first time I’ve come across your channel. My craft room is much like yours (before). I too have a small craft room. It’s so nice to glad you shared this with us.
Welcome friend! I’m so glad you found my channel! ♥️ The hardest part for me was simply getting started. I am so glad I did though. It feels so good to have this space organized. Now I just have to keep it this way!
Absolutely gorgeous! You've inspired me to unpack my new studio (we just moved) and do it right, the first time. No more "I'll worry about that later" excuses. Thanks for sharing.
Oh I love it! Yes! Get everything in its place and it will feel so good! It also makes you more likely to get in there and create! Good luck with the unpacking! You know what helps…put my channel on while you unpack and binge watch it. 😜 It will make the unpacking go quickly! ♥️
I don't know how I stumbled across your channel, but I am so glad I did! I too suffer from the "collect it all" syndrome as a mixed media artist with a quilting penchant. I went the white walls route and it is currently the storage room for everything my husband can't find a good place for including bulk toilet paper. I don't want to work in "the toilet paper pantry," so thanks for a little bit of inspiration!
YOU ARE NOT ALONE! I have a huge cabinet of fabric, three sewing machines, an embroidery machine and a serger - AND I DON’T EVEN SEW! Well, I did sew, but I haven’t in over 10 years. I realized that I had a fabric problem so I knew I needed to make a change. SO I CHANGED TO SCRAPBOOK PAPER! Then I changed to stamping, then jewelry making and now I’m thrifting and refurbishing furniture and creating home decor. I have a craft room, too and now I’ve taken over a “formal living room” (we’re not too formal around here) and created a home decor store. Nobody shops this store but me, but let’s just say that I have a little home decor problem. We won’t even talk about our “two car” garage. So, yeah, you are not alone. Wanna be friends?! ~ Linda
I love it! There are so many like us I think we need to create a support group! 😂 I love finding my people! Welcome to my channel, I’m so glad you came! ♥️
I about spit out my drink, cracked me up when you were talking about your pens and office supplies and craft supplies. Im right there with you, plus so disorganized too. Im thinking it's a sisterhood. The room looks wonderful.
Love the mural you painted. As I was watching I couldn't help but think you should remove the closet door and open the entryway into it to be the same size as the closet. Easier to get at your stuff, you don't lose the space in the room where the door swings and the door won't block any of the light coming into the room from the window. You can always put doors back up if it needs to turn back into a bedroom. :)
You did an amazing job. Like you, I like to see how people arrange and organize their craft rooms. That’s how I found your video. Your room may be small but having a husband that’s is not only handy but willing to help is a real plus😊! My room is larger but I live in a 1 1/2 story house, therefore all my walls are slated up toward the roof line. What I wouldn’t give for vertical space. Love your mural. Thanks for sharing your craft room makeover. It was very inspirational.
I was not shocked by your “before” and I have the exact same “problems” with collecting (hoarding) - this video was so real and SO helpful! I’ll get to work this weekend as my hoard is leaking into the rest of the house! Thanks for sharing!
Welcome friend! ♥️So glad you found my channel and I’m so glad you’re going to start on your room. Honestly starting is the hardest part. You can do it! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I think I have found my twin. I didn't know there were others like me with the craft room mess and obsessed vision of cute and pretty items we can use in arts and craft. Thanks so much. Maybe this will help me get organized too
Yes!!! You can do it! Our brains may be a little quirky but they aren’t broken. We can organize and keep our spaces clean. We just need a support group or like a monthly check in to see how we’re all doing! ♥️
@@goodgollygal a support group and other ideas that work if you don't have a large budget. (Because it went on craft and art supplies). Also ideas if you don't have a hubby to help or an electrician or if like me partially physically challenged.
Hello, fellow pen addict! Yes! we can NEVER have too many pens or colored pencils! Brilliant to make a work space in the closet! Unfortunately, I am married to Mr. Un-handyman! He has already destroyed half of my shelves in my closet...I work in a world of angled shelves, but it works as long as I don't put something on the shelves that will roll down hill! lOL. You are absolutely right about setting an hour timer on yourself when cleaning and decluttering. An hour is plenty and brings you back the next day to keep going, but not ignoring the creative beast that needs the other waking hours of your day!
Hi, I'm also a "newbie" to your channel and was instantly drawn in to your reorganizing your various craft supplies. What a fabulous transformation! My craft room also looks like your 'before' and it seems like that there are many of us who can relate.... I'll be following you and hope some of your energy will rub off on me. One question: When do you sleep???? : )
This is my first time watching you. Love the before pictures of the room. You did such a great job at organizing everything. It now looks like a happy place to create. Thanks for sharing it all.
January 26 2024 Maryland USA: Finally a true small space to get ideas and motivated. Thiis is where I am at right now. The change in the space is to truly accomodate my creativity from sewing, embroidery, knitting…you get it. To include a small space to sort pictures for gathering up a photo albumn for my adult children and grandchild that will binded like a book to past forward and do a digital. You are doing excellent. Painting is also on my agenda. ]
Welcome friend! I’m so glad you’re here! Best of luck on your projects! Remember, set a timer and work for one hour and then give yourself a break. Also, binge watch my channel and I’ll entertain you while you clean! 😜
Oh I love finding my people!!! ♥️Welcome to my channel! So glad you’re here. We are definitely keeping it real here. Putting on a façade is way too tiring! 😜
OH MY - we are crafting soul sisters!!! Most of my space looks like your "before" space... I just did the bead drawers and tamed the paper monster... LOTS more to get through. Thanks for the inspiration - and I love the mural. 😍
Oh my goodness! You’re giving me inspiration… I can’t even walk in my craft room, in fact, I stop doing crafts because I can’t walk in my craft room! Unfortunately, I don’t have the money to redo everything so I am just at a loss, but it breaks my heart to try to get rid of everything… I’ll keep watching for more inspiration from you. Thank you.
You don’t need to spend a dime. Actually, you could probably sell some of your craft supplies you don’t need anymore on Facebook marketplace and then use that money to buy some items to help you organize! You can do it! ❤️
I am so happy to have found your channel! I am a fellow crafter from the Canadian Prairies 🇨🇦 who has been frustrated with craft room tours that are mainly for paper crafters. I too have a small space 9’ x 10’ to work on my oil painting, stained glass - both of which have numerous specific supplies as well as jewelry making and general crafting. Also like you I don’t like everything all white or all the same furniture but more an eclectic space. One look at your room and I felt like I had found my Crafting Cousin lol bc my room looks the same at the moment. I will definitely subscribing! Thanks so much!
Hello my long lost cousin! 😂 I love finding my people! I had the same issue when looking for ideas for my craft room. I also wasn’t willing to spend a fortune on all new stuff. I like an eclectic mix of things. Thanks for the sweet comment. So glad you found my channel! ♥️
Your video came up on my Home Screen and like you I love seeing how someone else organizes. Normally I probably wouldn’t have stayed too long because I’m not a jewelry maker and sewing was apart of my past life but somehow listening to you talk and share just drew me in. I loved watching as you and hubby transformed your space! You did a great job and hubby, well, he’s a real keeper! The mural is fantastic! big kudos to you. So I subbed to your Chanel and I’ll be popping in again just to see what you’re up to. Come on over and visit me even though, as I said, our interests are different it’s always fun to see what others do. Patti
Thank you and welcome! I’m so glad my video ended up on your Home Screen and the fact that you stayed is the biggest compliment ever! 😍 We had so much fun remodeling this room and I love having a new organized space to craft in. I’m so glad you subscribed. I have a little bit of crafting, a little DIY and decor, some really yummy recipes, and a few travel videos thrown in the mix. I’m currently weaving a wall hanging and hope to have that video up soon. Thanks again for watching and now I’m about to head to your channel to check it out.
I just saw your video and the timing is perfect. I too am a craft collector and love to create and experience exactly what you described! I am in the process of moving my craft room from a 10'x11' room down to a 7'x 9' room that does not have a closet. The former bigger room did have a closet. So it has been hard and I am emotionally challenged over what to let go of. I am still in the purging stage. I have been putting items out on our front curb with a sign "free craft items" and definitely people who really want them are helping themselves and they are so grateful! Yes we often talk to the recipients. Anyway, my new craftroom was formerly a laundry room, off the kitchen. There are 3 doors and 1 window taking up walls in my new space! So not much wall space for organization or storage. Once I am finished maybe I will create a video too, if it turns out nice enough, haha. Loved your video!! I too relate to exactly what you were saying!!!
Okay you need to watch my ikea pantry hack video! That system would work great in your room and there are so many different storage options with that system. Plus you can add the doors to it and use it like a closet. Also get things up on the wall. Those peg boards are life savers! If you are looking for someone to donate art supplies to try reaching out to a local school and see if their art teacher needs them. Good luck with your craft room makeover, I hope it goes well! ♥️
I love the gold feet on your IKEA shelf, but because there is a baseboard there, I would have mounted the shelf to the wall studs. I have nine custom shelves that I designed and made and they're all mounted to the wall. My tiny space feels bigger as non of my shelving takes up floor space except for my carts which are on wheels. I ADORE craft room tours and crafty must-have videos; you really learn a lot about an artist through these types of videos. I want to make a video of my space but I'm leery because I don't want hateful comments. I'm a newby creator so I don't feel I have enough experience to arm myself against the mean folks. I love your mural! I also love that you do different kinds of crafts, these rooms are so fun to explore; thank you for sharing! Hopefully, I get brave and post my room sometime soon. I'm sending you a couple of pictures to your email (you might feel my room is too much, but I love to SEE all my pretties, it's inspiring)!
No channel but I do have a craft room. My main hobbies are beading and glass fusing. I have a “spare bedroom” that has one wall of windows and a French door to the back yard. For a retirement gift to myself I hired my neighbor to make a wall unit for my beads and convert my coat closet for my glass. I have adorned the walls with art from family and friends. I call it my art room. It is always the neatest room in the house!
Your mural is gorgeous! I’ve been working on my craft room for ages. I have back issues so I can only work for very short spurts but it is coming along. Congrats on being finished!
That mural tho 😍♥️🥰 I actually talk to pens too; they all BEG to come home with me! And my planner room welcomes all sizes, colors and shapes 🤣 again, love your space and got a few ideas, thank you ♥️
I mean how are we supposed to leave all of these beautiful items in the store when they are begging for a good home! 😜 So glad I’m not alone in this! So glad you found my channel! ♥️
I SO appreciate people who share their real, messy lives! I’m SO overwhelmed trying to set up my craft room. Seeing your progress (our “before” pics are similar) is very inspiring. Tfs!
There are sooo many artists that collect massive amounts of craft/art items! I personally have ADHD. I just spent a whole day organizing my small art area. I'm not done yet, but it looked like your 'office'. I totally get wanting to be organized and not having the mindset to get it done. It really is hard for us to keep things organized. I like your ideas. PS Your hair is beautiful!
You are definitely not alone! I am addicted to anything crafty and pretty! My brother and husband call it "Shiny Syndrome"....Anything "shiny" that catches my attention, I collect it!
I'm also a crafter with a multitude of crafts that I enjoy. We have recently moved to a mobile home and I am looking forward to creating workable craft room. I just watched your episode on creating a craft room. Now I'm inspired 😊
"You are not alone, I am there with you, though we're far apart we share the same heart, the luv for all things crafty. We are crazy and we make the world go around lol. I'm a new sub, I'm organizing my space as well, just purchased some things from Jo Anne's and Micheal's. My living room has turned into my workspace, no couch end tables nothing. I'm building a craft box for my paper and stuff and have two amours, one for jewelry and the other for yarn and fabric. Like you I have varied interests. It's a blessing and a curse. I thought about putting the camera on me and fast forwarding it. The room looks gorgeous. You are so fortunate to have a man who is handy.
I just discovered I am a visual person,. I didn't even know this was a thing until watching organization videos, lol. If it's not in sight, I totally forget I have it and buy more. I'm working on organizing my things so that I can buy the clear containers needed to hold them. I'm getting great organization ideas from your video. Thanks for sharing
You are not alone. I am paper crafter and rubber stamping card marker is my thing. I can never have enough rubber stamp, ink pads, scrapbooking albums and more. Rest easy you are making a big step forward to make it better.
Love your video and recognuse so much, all but that liveky man-help you have, so great to have a man that helps you!!! I have to do everything myself, my man does not help..so be soooo happy about that too !!!
Oh girl, you are NOT alone! Listening to you describe yourself and your organizing "style", it's like you're talking about me! I'm the exact same way. My craft room was a big, fat mess just like yours not long ago. I'm actually in the process of cleaning it up (again), so I'm really enjoying watching your process. Can't wait to see the entire tour!
It look very nice. I live in a flat which is only one bedroom . So I have my craft stuff in most rooms . But to have it organised. I have to go upwards so don't waste space. Love your wall you done so pretty. Thanks for sharing.
Sadly my husband passed away a couple of years ago and I ended up having to move. I only have one room I can use as a craft room right now and it is still full of boxes as storage! Hopefully one day I will have it as a craft room! In the meantime I love watching craft room tours. Love your mural and work table!
I have a room full of craft supplies, I have thousands of pens, paints, fabrics, bling stuff, beads, etc and always buying more, never get around using most of the things, but they are so pretty, they make me happy to have them
Oh I know this feeling so well! I have given myself a new rule. If I haven’t used it in 2 years I have to give it away to an art teacher. It’s a little less painful to do when I know there are students who will be making art with it. ♥️
First time watching your video. It gave me some hope . I have a craft room that looks like yours did. I barely have a walkway and no room to create. I tend to avoid going in there. Your makeover is beautiful and the organization is fabulous. I hope to get my room cleaned and organized one day. Unfortunately I’m now 71 and not in the best of health, but I still love to create and will get there, maybe not as nice as yours but at least a room I can work in. Thanks for sharing this adventure. I like your storage ideas.💕
Yes you should do it. It feels so good to get everything organized. As you clear out some of your older supplies, think about donating them to a local art teacher. They love getting art supply donations! ♥️
I JUST hired a professional organizer because I don't have what it takes to to get mine done by myself. CONGRATULATIONS on a beautiful and organized craft room!!!
Around 13 minutes… you started describing me! I’m sitting in the middle of a room now trying to organize a craft space. It’s a much larger room. No money and way too many types of crafts. And to add to that is the emotional chaos that comes along with the organizing right now because probably 90 % of it is my late wife’s (just two months ago). She was an avid crafter that didn’t like being bored. So we have a virtual craft store in the entire house. Trying to make heads or tails out of it is waaaaay overwhelming. Thank you for showing your realness and not being “perfect”
Oh friend I’m so sorry for your loss! It’s hard enough to try and clean a space when there is so much to organize but then you throw in the emotional aspect of this project and it’s overwhelming. My suggestion for you is to first get out the trash. Put on a great show or a podcast and just start throwing away. Next get boxes and begin to sort through items that you want to donate. I recommend taking these items to an art teacher. They love donations and just think how happy the kids will be making art thanks to you and your wife’s generous donation. Once all of that is done you can decide what to keep or sell. Just be kind to yourself during this process. Set an alarm and just start with an hour of work in the room. If it starts to be too much then take a break. As much as it hurts to clear through her things you can honor her by cleaning the space and donating those items for kids to make art. I know I didn’t know her but I think she would have loved that. ❤️
@@goodgollygal thank you for the response and tips. I do have avenues to donate some of the things, other family members who are also crafty and “buy nothing sell nothing” local Facebook groups (where she received many things herself). Some crafts we mutually enjoyed so I will hang on to those supplies. She had such a creative mind and had so many projects started - that’s been the heartbreaking part - coming across the things she never had time to finish. It’s too early for me to let some of that go. Some of them I may be able to finish “for her”. She was constantly making and giving. I applaud your ability to organize. I felt you in your other video about being organized but it has to be a simple system to stay that way or becomes a scene from hoarders! - that is/was either/both of us! Your yarn storage was a neat idea… I would need to cover the entire 23’ wall with those units to maybe have enough room for all her yarn lol. It would definitely be beautiful with all the color and texture, but I would also need to take out a second mortgage to buy them lol. So next is trying to figure out storage and a system with no $ and no major construction skills! Thank you again for the kind words and I’m glad I came across your channel!
You are not alone!! My sewing room is the entire upstairs bonus room with the attaching bedroom full of shelves of fabric stored in plastic tubs. I quilt but will not live long enough to sew all the fabric upstairs. I'm so very fortunate to have the wonderful space I have but I need to quit buying stuff and starting new crafts!!
Hello! Thanks for watching my video. If you have a craft room or office tour on your channel please let me know in the comments below. I love to watch tours of other people's craft rooms. Also, If you haven't had a chance I would love it if you would like this video and subscribe to my channel. Thanks friend!

@@gailrhodes7771 you are not alone! ♥️
You aren't alone. I make myself AVOID michaels..Joanne's, hobby lobby..the craft aisle ..because I cannot..
😂😂😂Yes! That is so true!
Thank you! I didn’t realize that my collecting craft supplies counts as a hobby. Now I feel accomplished instead of guilty! 😂😂😂
Lol so true!!!! It’s so much easier to go out and buy more than it is to pull together the mental acuity to actually craft. Plus I think our creative mind needs a change.
Wow, now there are several peas in my pod!
Just so we’re all on the same page- what you’re both describing is a symptom of ADHD ❤
Meeeeee 3..exactly like that.
You are not alone. I loved it when you said, "Because, pens!" LOL. That's my answer to all things craft, office, and pretty.
Yes!!! They are all just so pretty! ❤️
Gosh, I thought I was the only one that thought these thoughts. Whew! U r my tribe!!!
It’s like Christmas each time I clean! 😂😂😂
lol of us crafty people have a collecting problem. We are so impressed by the colors, textures, sparkle, etc. that, in the moment, we have to have it. We’re a little shopping obsessed. I’m with you🤪🤗
Yes! I love it all! So glad I’m not alone! ♥️
I'm going LIVE today (July 30th) at 3pm CST. Hope you will join me!
Exactly! I have two hobbies- crafting and hoarding! I can’t throw anything away! 🤣
I so totally get this! 😂
I need a whole extra TWO rooms ..
OM-GOODNESS!!! I thought I was the only person who loved all the craft and office “tools”! 💜
They are all so pretty! I love them all!
I'm so sorry for your loss and the position you find yourself in, I would be happy to come help however I could, I am disabled but could sit in the door and cheer you on, label boxes, or offer whenever you need them, whatever helps out just let me know
@@goodgollygal thank you, it took me until today to see that you had replied! 🤷♀️
Than you for the positive energy. ❤️🩹☺️
You are certainly not alone. I felt like I was watching a video about ME. LOL.
Welcome friend! You have found your people! ❤️
@@KellysCreativeDreams love this! ♥️♥️♥️
Love "it's a problem but a beautiful problem" that sums it up pretty well.
This is not just a transformation this is an act of God. It is miraculous what you accomplished, it’s stunning and beautiful and inspiring. Your aesthetic is breathtaking
Awww thank you friend!
Thank you friend! That means so much! ❤️❤️❤️
You are not alone! We need to put together a crafting sisterhood.
You aren't the only one whose room looks like that we have a sisterhood
Mine is the same mess!!!
You re definitely not alone. Crafting, watching craft videos on UA-cam, looking for craft supplies, organising craft supplies, buying craft supplies are ALL separate hobbies.😁
All things craft related make me happy! 🥰🥰🥰
I sew, so buying fabric and patterns have to be added as separate hobbies.

Thanks for sharing your space and your vulnerability with us!❤
I could swear looking at your before craft space looks exactly the same as mine. It makes me relieved to see im not alone

You can do it friend! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm also a messy person who likes order! I came up with a strategy to always find what I'm looking for by.... when choosing where to keep something, I stop and think 'if I was going to look for this where would I look first?' and I keep it there because that pathway in my brain tends to always choose that place first. Works really well!
That’s a great tip! I sometimes take a picture of items I put away and text it to my husband so that if I forget he can tell me where it is! 🤣

Yes this is me. Not sure if it's ADHD or just plain procrastination 🤔
Finally someone that shows a mess craft room!! Girl mine stay messy 🙂🙂🙂This was fun to watch!!!

So glad you found my channel! Welcome friend! You definitely need to take back your space and make it a happy place to create! ♥️
~ Linda

Thanks for the tip! I thought about that but I use the door for storage.
When it got to the part about the pens... I felt that viscerally.
Stunning space that maximizes storage in a tiny space🥰

I am with you too.
I'm going LIVE today (July 30th) at 3pm CST. Hope you will join me!

You should definitely film your space. People are normally really nice about room tours. I love looking at craft rooms as well! ♥️
That sounds amazing! ♥️♥️♥️
"Because...pens!" LOLOL!! I can SO relate - not necessarily for pens, but beads and charms and other pretty things. :-)
😂 Oh I have it really bad for beads too! You should check out my room tour to see all of the details of my addiction…I mean craft room! 😜
Me too!!!! LOL
I'm going LIVE today (July 30th) at 3pm CST. Hope you will join me!
Your mural is gorgeous! I’ve been working on my craft room for ages. I have back issues so I can only work for very short spurts but it is coming along. Congrats on being finished!
Thank you friend! ♥️ Good luck on your craft room makeover!
I'm going LIVE today (July 30th) at 3pm CST. Hope you will join me!
Thank you friend! Yes the struggle is real! Good luck on finishing your project! ❤️
This was amazing! I’m so inspired. Can’t wait to see your detailed videos on the mural and organization!
Thank you! The detailed video will be up later today! 😁

I'm thankful I'm not the only one who has a room like that. Maybe this will inspire me to clean mine. lol
Yes! You can do it!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Awww I love this! Thank you friend! Best of luck with your craft room redo!
You are not alone! I love pens, fabric, and scrapbook paper!
I love knowing I’m not alone! ♥️♥️♥️
Oh I’m the same way! If I can’t see it I forget all about it! I’m so glad you enjoyed my video! Good luck with your organizing! ♥️
It's no surprise that creative, determined women can utilize a small space to its full potential and you are the Queen.
You are not alone. I am paper crafter and rubber stamping card marker is my thing. I can never have enough rubber stamp, ink pads, scrapbooking albums and more. Rest easy you are making a big step forward to make it better.
Thank you friend! ♥️♥️♥️
Love your video and recognuse so much, all but that liveky man-help you have, so great to have a man that helps you!!! I have to do everything myself, my man does not help..so be soooo happy about that too !!!
My guy is pretty great! I am fortunate to be married to a very handy man. He's pretty cute too! 😜 Thanks for watching my video!❤
Thank you! Yes wall storage is key in tiny spaces! Btw, I'm going LIVE today (July 30th) at 3pm CST. Hope you will join me!
Sadly my husband passed away a couple of years ago and I ended up having to move. I only have one room I can use as a craft room right now and it is still full of boxes as storage! Hopefully one day I will have it as a craft room! In the meantime I love watching craft room tours. Love your mural and work table!
I am in the same situation as you with hope for my craft room in the future. Good luck to both of us for a brighter future.
I'm going LIVE today (July 30th) at 3pm CST. Hope you will join me!
Thank you friend! Best of luck on getting yours organized! You can do it!
You are WONDERFUL!! And no, you are not alone in your "problem"... 🤫
You are so sweet! Thank you! 😊
You are definitely NOT alone. I am a craft hoarder too.
We should start a support group or a shopping club, either works for me! 😜🤣
Wow what an awesome end result! Makes me want to dejunk a whole bunch of craft supplies & start over BUT w/ containers/bins that actually work!
