I'm from Hungary. Since I was a little boy my father told me stories about Polish history and Polish Hungarian friendship. He showed me this song, and I loved it soo much so I learned the whole song in Polish. One mounth ago I went to an Erasmus+ program in Poland. One evening while we drinking with the poles, they started to sing this song so I sang this song too. The reaction on their faces was priceless 😊. We sang the whole night together. This was one of best memories of my life. The Polish Hungarian friendship got a new meaning in my life. Thank you brothers.😊

YES
And Slovak, everyone forgets it's tradition there too!
IT dont matter only matter that is slavic
@@mitchymasar9549 im it was written by a Polish-Ukrainian compositor, it was rather highly popularised by poles and Ukrainians that went to Slovakia
Author of song is Maciej Kamieński, a Pole of Slovak origin. Any mention of Ukraine in the lyrics of the song appeared just at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century (song is from 2nd half of 18th or beginning of 19th century), the author of changes is unknown. This ballad was popular among polish scouts and falconers at the beginning of the 20th century, it also gained popularity among soldiers, especially during the Polish-Soviet war (1919-1921), who during their stay in Ukraine translated and popularized it among Ukrainian people.
The changes were probably introduced because during this period (end of 19th and early 20th century) it was end of an era of "Ukrainian Romanticism" in Poland. At that time, many Polish poets were fascinated by Ukraine, which is why many works from that period, especially the 19th century, so often refer to Ukraine.
The Polish version is the most sensitive and glorious in this case, the voice of the singer and the theme is the most relevant for this a bit tragic song

Vječna družba i ljubovj s bratjjami-slavjanami!
Hej thanks for the German version, now I know what the song is about! Neat to see that there are even 2 non Slavic versions. (Hungarian in case you didn't know is also not a Slavic language)
9:36 Very calming! I could fall asleep when listening to it!
This is a nice video! I sang the Russian version. I hope you all liked my accent even if it sounds a little strange. I tried my best :)
I totally loved your version mate, especially some stanzas :)) Different accent always sounds interesting and cool in slavic languages
I am Russian. And I am very glad to see foreigner try to sings in my native language. It's so cute :). At once I think you are not Russian, but I thought you were a Slav from other slavic country. Good luck to you!
I wondered when you were going to find this, der Klaviermusiker, nice to see you here :)

This song was always special for me. My entire family is Poland and hail from Tarnopol and Lwów. We were relocated to Lower Silesia and Opole after the war but we're still proud of our roots!
I's say it was an upgrade
Pozostaje z szacunkiem i serdecznym pozdrowieniem
I feel the same. My grandparents and their family from my moms side lived in a town between Lwow and Tarnopol, before ww2 made them go to Śląśkie to Bielsko Biala and to lower Silesia to Wroclaw

Interesting Slovak version. Ukrainian and Polish versions of course classic

Greating from Poland
