Makes sense why masks were mandated, despite them being studied for over a decade and show no ability to slow or stop viral spread. The fact people in charge can send someone they never met in person a million dollars helps understand masks....
No, she was not intelligent, because as soon as she learned he was in "Malaysia" or any similar far or third world countries aND black, , ALL her red warning lights should have gone on!!! these love scams to Western women from african countries have been going on FOR DECADES!
@@mysurfing3550 that is patently untrue. you can't stop viral spread, but you can slow it and they do that effectively when properly worn. where do you get your nonsense from?
Just another greedy woman who wants more money oh a international business man What wrong with Joe from the loading bay the forklift truck driver oh he has no money and no business forget about him
It's so easy to fake profiles. I became a 35 year old man from Alberta Canada, and uploaded any photo of a Welsh child killer, all on Fakebook. I did this so I could send photos of him marrying a little boy, to everyone who knew my housemate paedophile, including his children. It worked and it proved Zuckerberg was a liar when he stated all his profiles are authentic.
None of them answers the first question- "what was it about their profile that attracted you?" They go off on another topic but never ever answer that one.
Here’s an example of how important it is to be your own best friend..I was totally alone (no parents or kids) when my husband died, but I focussed on my pets, my job, and taking care of myself.
Exactly. My husband died 4 & a years ago. I was surprised that men, a lot were Army, or some type of service. I left my profile as married, pictures show that I'm elderly & they start telling me how beautiful I am, (I know I'm not) what a beautiful smile I have..ect.. They tell me to send them friend request. ( i don't) Couple just flat out ask if I can still send them Google play cards or phone cards. (I CERTAINLY do not) At first I was upset & wondered how they can get on my Facebook page without my permission or sent request..but now I know they can manage that, I've been told/ explained to me but now I don't remember..( remember I'm old..lol.) I do have money in a savings account from selling my home when my husband died, & as I say often, nobody is going to get any of that money except myself, my 2 sons & 3 granddaughters. My sister (she 75 yrs old but don't act or look it ) & I like to shop sometimes once a week & eat lunch & just have fun acting like we have good sense.
@@shirleyharrison2580 Be careful with requests from men online, especially army types..many are fraudulent and sent by the fraudsters in Africa (or others places) looking for vulnerable (usually older) women to manipulate into sending money.
I bet her kids are absolutely ticked off that Mom did not listen to them... Not going to lie I would go berserkers if my mom fell for something like this
I'm going to make this very short. A man found me on FB. We were talking for about two weeks he told me that he was in the Army, single dad and his wife passed away in a car accident. Within two weeks he said he loved me I didn't feel the same. He asked for money. I said no. I stopped talking to him and blocked him. I wasn't going to fall for that.
The story he fed you is typical. They seem to have a similar script/bio. They often say they were born in another country (usually Europe), and are engineers working on a project here in the USA. I’ve been contacted by so many of them…it’s downright funny.
It's absolutely beyond me! I'm 67, been divorced over 35 years. Sure, it's been hard at times, even lonely, but OMG, full-time teaching wages were ALL needed to raise my 2 baby daughters. Sorry, but I just DO NOT get it!!!
I can't comprehend spending weeks much less years with someone you never meet and almost never get to call..... People need to research all these entities, military, UN, oil rigs etc for policy a s protocol
The red flags are ALWAYS there, but they all get ignored when someone is desperate for affection and attention, and doesn’t have enough inner confidence.
Who better to pick on but the vulnerable. Some sociopath can just check obituaries, look up the survivors & play on them. Too much private info about each of us is made public with very little effort. WTF.
After a scammer depletes your bank account completely, they usually either dump you or they will often confess to you in the hopes that as you keep working and earning more money you will continue to send money to them.
Exactly! I don’t think it helps to shame lonely people who are scammed. I don’t have millions of dollars to lose, but I would be sick and humiliated if I did. I admire her for speaking out to help others. I would be too embarrassed to tell people. Also, people are very critical. A woman I worked for was scammed, but not to this degree! I was afraid she might do something to herself because people were not empathetic. She was divorced and so lonely. A perfect victim. She also said she felt like a teenager again. Who wouldn’t want to feel that way and I’m married! Spreading information is good. Please be kind to these men and women.
LOL. I used to get friend requests from high ranking, widowed, retired military guys all the time. For fun, I'd play along for a couple of days then I would ask what part of Nigeria they were the from. LMAO. Then I would be blocked. I must have been put on some list because I never receive friend requests anymore. Hahahahahaha!
I did it as fun as well. When he asked for money I told him I hope he had friends to help him. Lol He started getting a little agressive as I just laughed. Never heard from him again. Hahaha
Got them all the time, wanting cards, phones, laptops, help coming to America, help with school money. Military usually wanted money for cards for their phone😂 Such fun, blocked, was so smart, then got caught by someone who never asked for money! Said he was a contractor from England, waiting to get paid for work he did in Denver🤬 Think he might have been trying to apply for loans, credit cards in my name😡
The second girl in the red is an absolute head melter. Her voice, the way she speaks and how she hasn't gotten over it yet. She acts like she's 13 years old.
I flew home a few days ago and there was a woman at the airport that had flown in from Texas days before. She had been staying at the airport for days waiting for the man she had never met to be released from a private hospital or for friends he would send to pick her up. She had sent him money over a period of several months and had flown in to take care of him when he finally got out of the hospital. She said he had no siblings and his parents had passed so he was alone, she was all he had. I told her there was a very good chance she was being scammed... after I retrieved my luggage and went back outside she was gone. I do hope she is safe and has since returned home.
One of the reasons why these women get scammed is that they can't admit they are wrong when they family and friends tell them they are scammed. One woman who was scammed drove two hours to send money after bank refused to send money telling her she is getting scammed.
I had the utmost empathy for this lady as she thought she was in love. But as I got further into the video I realize " a fool and his money go separate ways".
@Nola Parker, an even bigger fool is the person who thinks they're above being scammed. Plus, if you're prone to shaming people who get caught in some kind of deception as you did here, you're also more likely to fall deeper because you'll hide and be embarassed.
That whole confession thing is part of the scam. I’ve seen it multiple times. It just makes it easier for the scammer by not having to keep up the ruse. He didn’t have feelings for her. You’d be surprised how many women fall for this as well and keep sending money as the scammer claims they’re living in poverty in Nigeria. Meanwhile they drive luxury cars & live in extravagant homes.
just because you have book smarts, it does not mean you have street smarts and you need street smarts to survive online. WHEN DID IT BECOME WOMEN RESPONSIBLITY TO SUPPORT MEN? ladies ask yourself this when men ask for money.
In the UK, it happened when social security payments ceased to be considered something that you only turn to in times when you have no other option, and became an acceptable way of life generally. I am fully in support of the welfare state, especially looking back on times when children would starve. But honestly? I've been fleeced by partners only too happy to be completely inactive. There's an old-fashioned joke about marriage, "making a decent woman of her" -- but if you really look at it, a "kept woman" had no choice ... they were either not allowed to work at all, or only in certain limited circumstances. Just watch out for parasites.
Thanks for this show. Hopefully this will help others. My mom was being catfished. She met a guy online that said he was from Texas, but was working overseas. They were talking for hours. Luckily my mom kept me in the loop, and when he asked for money I said hell no. She didn’t give him any money and he quit talking to her. My husband works for a grocery store and they have Western Union and he said lots of elderly women come in and want to send money overseas. They will refuse to send the money if the women sending it doesn’t know the person and have not met the person. The women get so mad when they refuse to send the money, but the grocery stores are trying to prevent the money being sent. Great show. ☀️
That's wonderful that you helped your mother avoid disaster, and that your husband helps elderly women ... even if they can't see what is really going on. Keep up the good work!!
I have seen so many shows where the old ladies ignore or get angry at all warnings amd cautions - and then complain that they weren't warned enough and the bank should have stopped them! So hypocritical. You can see why it is hard to prosecute when the person wants and insists on doing what they choose with their own money.
Yes, I used to work in customer service and I processed Western Union transactions. As my position required online training for Western Union transactions, I learned that as well, to prevent theft and money laundering. This one particular woman started coming in to send $200 to Nigeria, about twice a month, so I asked her what the purpose of the transaction was and she said: I can do what I want with my money and asked to speak to my manager who allowed it. So, moral of the story, you can’t help someone who doesn’t want help.
These scammers seem very successful when hitting someone at a very emotional time such as loss of a spouse. That is what happened to her. I know a man who was scammed within a few months of losing his wife. It's sad.
Thank God for the work you guys do. I met a guy online and after chatting for 4 months, I went to meet him in Bilbao (Spain). His demeanour changed at the airport which set off alarm bells. To cut a long story short....upon my return to the UK, he started asking me to send him money via Western Union. I refused and that was then the end of the relationship. Please women, DO NOT send money to anyone you've not met!
Sorry but the best advice for girls and women here and always should be don't date and look for love when you are feeling sad and lonely. Nothing good comes out of it.And beeing scammend has nothing to do with how smart you are. It's the lack of ability to nourish, love and support ourselves what makes us vulnerable and attracted to wrong people. That's what I've learned in my 40 years of Life. Sorry for my English :-D Take care, love yourself and know your worth
My husband was in the hospital for a few days and I remember thinking how empty that bed looked at night without him there. I knew he would be home soon, but it really made me think about how lonely a person can and probably does get on their own all the time. Now after watching several of these videos, if you end up being alone I think a dog or cat would be a better choice of a companion.
One of the reasons I've stayed away from marriage. To be with someone for 20, 30, 40 years and then wake up one day and that person isn't there, that would be a very hollow feeling.
The woman in the first story needs psychological help. She’s got journals of conversations but has never insisted on meeting him in 2 years? She’s saying she’s a smart woman but actions speak louder than words. I think she’s lying about him saying he wanted to keep things going. If she was my mother, I’d be advocating for her not to go out by herself or use the Internet without supervision. The second woman doesn’t have time to FaceTime but has time to send nice photos and videos?
@@debbiegrimison6705 Truly! She knew she was wrong as soon as she began hiding her actions from her family. She earned the badge of VICTIM, but she will recover. Seeing the face of that young Black man blew the door to her delusion wide open! She will survive.
Don’t forget, those journals were going to be treasured heirlooms for “their grandkids” so the grandkids would know the story of their love. Ffs. As if the grandkids would care so much about the internet love story of grandma and her second husband who is unrelated to them.
If you can go stand in a crowd and not have a beautiful woman or guy come up to you and say they love you, why would it happen online? If it seems too good to be true, it always is
These type of scams have been going on for YEARS. Here in the UK, you get older ladies going to countries like Turkey on holiday and are flattered by the attention they get from the young men there. All those men want is their money and a Visa!
All the women want is male attention and validation of their inherent feelings of superiority over other women. It's an ugly transaction but reciprocal.
Turkey?not sure honey. Its global job. You can fall in love and choose, but send money to someone you have never seen and person who are not real is something else. People lie in Usa also, scammers are everywhere
From what I have heard about the Turkish holidays, it seems that the young men give their ladies a good time. I suppose it’s a bit sordid, but at least there’s some kind of exchange.
I can still remember going to Cyprus as a 15 year old with mum. I was swimming with her and a waiter started smiling at me . I i was very shy and it felt embarassing but at the same time a little part of me was flattered. He came up to me and asked me if I wanted to go for a drink with him. My mum was furious ( she was late 40s at time ) and told him in no uncertain terms that young girls like me didnt go out with grown men . He turned round to mum and said Oh Im sorry you want to go out with me yes ? Put me off mediterranean waiters for life!!!
This woman needs treatment with a physiologists for life. When the guy ask for initial $45 That was a clue to run fast. So sad what desperation and loneliness can do
She was a widow who apparently was in a good marriage . I think her experience with her good marriage clouded her judgement . Perhaps she thought most relationships are good ones , like she had with her late husband .
I agree. The windows/widowers, who where in long marriages….need grief counseling and also someone to educate them about the tactics the scammers are going to use…BEFORE they ever decide to go on a dating site. They’re lonely and vulnerable! I’ve been twice. First time when I was young (19), second time married for 37 years. Maybe one reason I’m not buying into what scammers spew out is because I divorced both of those men. I’m not lonely or needing a man.
My mom taught me something about dating and it has helped me TREMENDOUSLY I hope that whoever's reading this will take the advice. A man should NEVER ask a woman for money (esp. so b/c he's NOT her husband and that should be limited b/c he suppose to be the provider). Be it a big or small amount, he should NEVER fix his lips to ask YOU. If he has to borrow it from his momma, a friend, or a bank, if he's trying to impress you and win you over, asking for YOUR money should be the last thing on his list. (This is a Red Flag ladies).
A man should never ask a man for money, he can ask his friends before he ask a woman, I really feel like people try to buy love, because it's no way they would give all this money to a person they see homeless in the street
Yeah someone tried that with me and I laughed and said I'm not that dumb if i can't see you personally not happening and if you are always asking for money big red flag and I didn't work where this women worked

The money these guys scam, goes to that boss, and he'll divide a percentage out for all his scammer/workers. It's literally a business in places like Nigeria and India.

She was an Airforce intelligence officer. This explains a lot about why the US invaded Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction, while other intelligence services like France and Germany insisted that there were no WMD.
It just goes to show that it doesn't matter how smart you are, emotions are strong. And when you're vulnerable you'll forget everything you've learned. So glad this is being talked about.
I will never understand how people can have conversations, fall in love, and give money to anyone they’ve never met or spent time with. What are you falling in love with? Words? A profile? At least do a Video Call and go on a first date.
I 100% don’t get it either. The very _minute_ someone asks for money doesn’t that ring enormous alarm bells? If I find out one of my friends or relatives is embroiled in this I’ll do my damndest to get them out!! 🤬

While l really feel sorry for these victims, l notice that the immediate reaction is to totally place blame on the scammer. ? Well, in my opinion BOTH of them are equally to blame. After all, one cannot operate without the other. Remember that old adage. "It takes two to tango".
Agreed. I wouldn't even give anyone I know money, let alone someone I have never met. I never lend money. Although being poor makes that stance easier to do.. ..
I know. It's ludicrous. Two grown professional men can't manage their own lives without asking a stranger on line for $45! That would have sent me running away fast!
This guy recently texted me on FB saying he live in Texas just got out the hospital and his house has busted pipes, no electricity, and no water b/c of the snow and ice there. He said the hotel he's in is going to throw him out if he doesn't come up with $42.00. I figure, if he's going to need more than $42 to stay there until the snow storm subsides so this must be food money he's trying to get. Then unless he's in an old run down Motel, WHAT HOTEL CHARGES A RATE OF $42/ Night??? Then my final thought was, okaaay, when is he going to fix his mouth to ask ME for the money cuz I already know the answer will be a solid, bold-faced 'NO'. I told him if I had the money I would give it to him......riiiiggghhhht. But, wanted to see how he would respond. Maybe if we were dating...real dating...for a while and if we basically went more or less back and forth paying for various things, dinner and the like.
The guys, most of the time lie about who they are, their job, what they look like, their marital status, their intentions. So, they lie about everything to get a woman to develop fondness for him. Once he can see that she cares about him? The lies unravel slowly, like the analogy of, "How to boil a frog." Women fall in love with what they hear, guys fall in love (though it's 99% lust) with what they see. So, guys lie & women wear makeup. It's sad, yet, true.

Congratulations!! I meet my current boyfriend through a dating app. 🙂 It has turned out better than I ever could have hoped for. 💖. We celebrated our first year anniversary last November and we are still going strong. 🙂
I encountered a scammer back in 2018 on Linkedin. Fortunately, I didn’t send him any money. Later on it made sense why he had 15-30mins a day to talk. Because scammers text tens of women a day to increase the chance of getting (more) money. Sometimes I wonder if he used my pictures to scam someone else…
That was my first thought when I saw her. She is the younger version of Sally back when she was a show host. It freaks me out every time I look at this woman.
Don't even do it then. Just count that video call as ''info' that you can put into your "Data Collection" files. Now-a-days, the short video calls they do with you could be rehearsed and done by a friend rather than the person themselves b/c they both could be in on scamming you. Don't trust everything you hear nor see, trust what you KNOW and what you know is all in the "Data Collection" files. Once 6 months or a year is up and if you've collected nothing but 'suspicious data' and data about him asking for monetary favors, and being extra nice just before asking you for a favor, data of him NEVER sending you money nor taking you to dinner, and etc. then dump that loser.

Yes, I agree: it is easy for others with hindsight to question why it happened, but good kind people do give others the benefit of the doubt. A good catfish will be so believable and so manipulative that you are put in a position that you cannot refuse. They find your weak point But remember, even if is not much comfort, you get into these problems because you are a kind decent trusting person. And that is worth more than any amount of money.
Many scammers do confess, and they do that to keep the scam going. The host said the man stole Travis' identity. He didn't steal his identity, he merely stole his photos.
The best advice is to love your self FIRST. Each time I hear these crazy stories the victims always know they are being scammed but the do it anyways because they are lonely. Scammers know who they can prey on.

Red Flag issues . As this lady said calling you dear, honey BUT asking for money or gift cards. I do not understand why a person would give money that as a young person or couple that you have save and invested for your retirement even when your spouses passes b4 you.. It amazes me that a man/ woman would give their money away so willingly. This just boggles my mind . Soon they will be living in a friend's garage...
The fact that a stranger asks you for money is a red flag, the most obvious one but I can add as well the fact that a scammer very quickly starts saying "I Love You"; feeling genuine love takes a bit longer than that, real love does not feel rushed, forced or pressured . Also, pay attention to how all these victims fall in love with characters completely out of their leagues , I don't want to hurt any susceptibilities BUT, one has to know ones limits, a super gorgeous man/womam is not going to fall in love with an average joe/jane in 3 days, definitely not if you are not at the same level of "gorgeousness"
They merit everything that comes their way. What these con artists do to unsuspecting victims is despicable. Thank you so much for your service. Online dating can be difficult for the uninitiated. Some basic rules to avoid time wasters and scammers: 1. If there is any reason for a meeting in person to be some way off such as the person being in a far flung part of the world, walk away. 2. If a meeting in person doesn’t happen soon after starting conversation, it probably never will. I think that two refusals/excuses is a good rule of thumb. 3. When chatting online don’t get overly emotionally drawn in. Just talk about the kind of person you are and what you’re looking for - and then either meet in person or not. 4. See “online dating” as a phrase, not a reality. Actual dating only happens in person - and if that isn’t happening, stop contact.

WHEN DID IT BECOME WOMEN RESPONSIBLITY TO SUPPORT MEN? ladies ask yourself this when men ask for money.
Lazy men. Btdt unfortunately. Stay single and stay sane! 💖
Women have been doing it to men for years without it being called catfishing. Someone wanting your money should be a red flag for both men or women.
musima41 - It shouldn’t be a “man’s job” to provide and it’s a red flag if a woman expects that from a man simply because she’s a woman.
Men have been doing it for decades.. you never heard of a pimp?

And the second woman - she “didn’t have time” to contact the guy by webcam, but apparently she had plenty of time to send him nude photos? 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah this is craaaazy.
2nd woman kept making g excuses...1st woman is just plain stupid!!!!!
Agreed Gradkat. I really don't understand, how you can have a boyfriend and be in a relationship for two years, with someone you have never actually met, and have hardly talked to verbally. Makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever to me.

Please ladies and gentlemen if someone asks you for money and you do not know them face to face, do NOT give them any money! The best thing you can do is not to speak to strangers online.
Although being poor makes that stance easier to do.. ..
Hell, even if you know them “in-person,” don’t give any money!
if a guy doesn’t have 45$ in his pocket why would any female date him? He’s not ready yet to be in a relationship
He thanked me and then began calling me Queen and 'Baby' I cringed every time I read it. As much as I LOOOVVVE AFFECTION, I'm beginning to hate when these men call me pet names b/c I already know there's a sneaky underline motive behind it. Now, I'll be NICE to a stray dog with rabies, BUT, I ain't nobody's fool and flat out REFUSE to give ANY MAN any money I DON'T CARE HOW HARD OF TIMES HE'S HAVING LET HIM GO ASK HIS MOM, DAD FRIEND, PASTOR, NEIGHBOR, CHARITY, SHELTER, OR BANK LOAN OFFICER FOR IT!!!!!!! NO MAAM, I'M A WOMAN I DON'T SUPPOSE TO TAKE CARE OF NOOOO MAN, HE SUPPOSE TO BE THE ONE WHO PROVIDES FOR "ME' WHEN I'M IN LACK. NOPE!!!!!
What if he lost his job or something bad happened to him??
Can't you be considerate sis🤨
@@peterkherisson5186 This could happen. But asking a near-stranger for money? I'm sorry. I've been down and out. Never would I have considered such a thing. No integrity, to ask for money from someone you've been talking to for two weeks. That's begging. I would not date a person who did this. And it wasn't like he needed something essential. He told her it was so "his friend could make a dating profile." Really??? Oh God no.
The lies unravel slowly, like the analogy of, "How to boil a frog."
Women fall in love with what they hear, guys fall in love (though it's 99% lust) with what they see. So, guys lie & women wear makeup. It's sad, yet, true.

Unfortunately being an idiot isn't illegal. It's pretty easy to figure out when an account is fake
If thats the case they should also start prosecuting the "victims" for actively participating in the fraud, which often involves money laundering.
There is also and issue of jurisdiction since most of the scammers are in countries where they won't be prosecuted.
The First Lady in red worked as an intelligent agent and even she got scammed! Unbelievable what some sweet words can do to someone.
Who else is reminded of Sally Jesse Rapielle with Mel....
That was my first thought when I saw her. She is the younger version of Sally back when she was a show host. It freaks me out every time I look at this woman.
Also my first thought when I first saw this show.
Do not send money to ANYBODY on the internet. Period.
Never fall in love without making a video call

Online dating can be difficult for the uninitiated. Some basic rules to avoid time wasters and scammers:
