I love two of the 'last ditch' attempts you see the german guys do.. including the guy running from the bushes, firing off his pistol and screaming. And then the guy at the end who is surrendering, but last second pulls his bayonet and tries to gut the americans.
As much as I don't like the public style open field events, this is amazing! Great editing and video quality, really looking forward to the video from this years event! Cheers!
Finally a reenactment not full of old war buffs and fat kids. I love seeing fit guys reenact both sides, it makes it a lot more realistic (minus a few). Would def love to reenact with this Wehrmacht group!
Theres that one fat guy on the US side just walking around like he was in a park in the middle of the video, and one in the german side but that seemed like it was the only farb thing of that awesome reenactement
To be fair with the firepower the Germans had on their side with this scene. The Germans should have monster’d it, that PAK would have wrecked everything.
just wanted to tell you that this is great work! not only the quality, i mean how the bangs of the music fit to the firing of the cannons : that was EPIC! ;)
Yes, I agree the video and Audio parts were right where they should be. Very dramatic living history. Im sure this is just how the war played out day to day.
2:11 how do you justify using a PPS43 on the western front. The soldiers on the eastern front didn't use it that much (they were retreating when the PPS came into service, which makes it allot harder to capture weapons) and on the western front you would not be able to get a PPS.
the guy with the cap on backwards was relistic since some american soldiers would wear them under their helmets to stop the helmet feeling 'uncomfortable' on thier heads. it is likely that his helmet fell of when he fell to the ground.
Towards the end of the war they didn’t, I realize this is “early war” but the Germans didn’t do it a lot. Hence the creation of Panzer Grenadiers cause nobody could keep up with the tanks in Blitzkreig attacks.
Well for one how old are you? And for two being a Reenactor is exactly like the military. You get the training and the ranks. It'll probably take years for you to become a German officer. Ive been doing Civil War Reenacting for 3 1/2 years and im still a private lol
The impressions, weapons and equipment look good, but having a spectator battle in open flat ground with no cover or concealment. Yeah, it's a staple of spectator events, but it's tough to watch all that cover and concealment right in the background where the fight would REALLY take place. Hey, I've done events like that, too. Almost any WW2 re-enactor has. "Battle for the baseball field," we always called these...
@XXAndriuchaXX and @potato2442 I'm intervening cuz I know where this sort of stuff goes and you'll fill up this board with base and passionate things. I do say, I think this is the swiftest buildup of immaturity I've seen on any of my videos, but if you want to call each other names, do it via the UA-cam email. Don't do it here. This is a place for comments about the video, and I will not let it be a place for demeaning and senseless bickering.
I don't see how the Americans won, they only had a infantry and two tanks. While the Germans had about five different anti-tank weapons, infantry, and a tank. A stug which is a pretty well capable tank.
Check out my other videos if you want to hear the roar of battle. However, I'd to say that if you had read the info panel, you would've known why I had to remove the sound; my technology wasn't as sophisicated then, and even now it's a pain to clean up the audio I capture. These videos take much more work than one might think. (If you want sounds ONLY, my Pacific reenactment video is just what you're looking for.)
Very good reenactment. My only complaint is the lack of sense of urgency in the individual actors. I didn't see any actual hustle when it came to moving positions (more like a light jog) and then at 4:47 the German popping out of bushes, firing his weapon then being more cautious of the ground than the allies who shot him. On the positive very well edited and good music to go along with it.
@flecktarn1000 Yeah, in ww2 more and more younger guys are coming in and pushing authenticity. I am 18, I do British WW2 and Civil War. I am just about fed up with farbs in Civil War, so will be devoting much of my time to WW2.
This and the Lowell video are the best reenacting videos I've seen thus far. I belong to the 82nd AB, 508th PIR, E. Co. 2nd Battalion. Check out our website at 508pir.com
Kampfgruppe Bockmann there are a few pics of double decals making it to the end of the war. But do you expect them to either repaint or destroy and get new decals for each different event they go to?
according to my knowledge of German and American tanks avrebero won the Germans in this battle because the sherman would be blown up after the first shot de panzer that we see or seem an elefant and armored infantry without overwhelming support especially the American one accustomed to a suporto armored, more or less always present would fugita maybe they would come back later with more tanks and would have won anyway nice video good
There is an overarching and disproportionate element of narcissism prevalent among reenactors . They spend a great deal of time and money trying to pretend they are something they are not ; real soldiers. Very few of them have any actual military service , and in over thirty years of being around them , I have met a grand total of two who have actually been on combat. I have privately shared these thoughts with those two , and they are in agreement. Essentially , reenactors want to dress up and act like men , without the risks of being men. For these exhibitionists, dressing up in the costume of the past, treated as a fetish, and posturing and parading as part of the masquerade provides the pleasure of pretense, which is all it is, although the performance undoubtedly has the psycho-therapeutic effect of serving to ease the feeling of inadequacy in its performers, in a manner akin to the savage who dons the skin of a lion as a mantle in the belief that he will thereby become invested with the strength and courage of the king of the jungle. If they really want to experience something akin to real military life , all they need do is deprive themselves of food and sleep , while increasing their work load.
4:58 WOW THAT EXPLOSION AND JUMP WAS ON POINT!
Damn it was

Did you went?
Awesome flick and nice edition too! Looks like you guys had a lot of making this.

There are parts thats so SO realistic, its beutiful
as a German WWII Reenactor I'd love to reenact the earlier battles where we actually win XD
Same I'm tired of screaming, then lying on the grass with a kar98k for an hour
How about the Battle Of Sedan?
You would need to source Polish, French or early Soviet equipment/uniforms
To be fair with the firepower the Germans had on their side with this scene. The Germans should have monster’d it, that PAK would have wrecked everything.
@@abraham4091 you know you are talking to a reenactor not a real nazi right?

Best video of this event. Ever.
my garand father was in the waffen ss 5th-wiking! :) Mr. true king of Norway.............
with what you had to work with (only one shot, one take), that video was awesome!
can't get enough of this clip , like it a lot
Can we please Get a video when the Germans win
why
Isiah Licorish because they always lose
Nicky Tolbert they did win some skirmishes all around the war
The German not going to retreat that easily. They're highly professional trained and was order not to retreat by hitler
@@ahlong2339unlike ruskis when they retreat their own officers will shot them
That is awesome. You did some job with your camera. The music works just fine.
BEST REENACMENT VIDEO EVER!!!!
Clearly the Stuart was lined with lend-leased Stalinium.
You have a wonderful hobby and good taste
Largest reenactment in the US an 3rd largest in the world.... cant wait to do it nxt year :D

your comment is spot on, farbyness to the extreme using a PPSH on the Western front. Buy a MP40!!
awesome video
What kind of bullets to those weapons have?
wow wow wow woow wooooooow !!! Where in the world make this combats ?!
Again, with the “Early War” why are some Americans in M43’s?
When did schultz from Hogan's Heroes become part of a reenactment troupe?
WOW!,This is epic! :O THUMBS UP!
@gsava3rd Yes. Its a Locust. Its the only one I've ever seen.
wich camera do you use ? nice video ^^
where did they get a Tank???
AWESOME!!
that was awesome. great job!!
How do they know who dies and whos wounded and how the tanks get destroyed
@gsava3rd I think those are supposed to be British maybe? Not sure, but look at the helmets
super, very nice ...
the guy with the cap on backwards was relistic since some american soldiers would wear them under their helmets to stop the helmet feeling 'uncomfortable' on thier heads. it is likely that his helmet fell of when he fell to the ground.
Is this footage free royalty? I like to use some of this for a ww2 film i'm working on!

Towards the end of the war they didn’t, I realize this is “early war” but the Germans didn’t do it a lot. Hence the creation of Panzer Grenadiers cause nobody could keep up with the tanks in Blitzkreig attacks.
Thumbs up for the guy rocking the Canadian helmet at 4:30.

What is this soundtrack may I ask? :)
name of music please?
German uniforms are always the best looking I'd like to join these reenactments
Makes me wanna do a reenactment

pure awesomeness and WOOH! GO RANGERS! RLTW
Why are they out in the cold open? That doesn't make sense, there's no cover ar all.
3:00 The KING of the battlefield !!
Is that late war ss I see
that brings me back to my reenacting days.....the cool thing about this is that there is not a lot of fat guys like my expriences....really cool

@CreateyLine6 u may have noticed the lee enfield as well ;)
open field fighting for ww2 looks ridiculous haha
How can someone participate in a ww2 reenactment?
That's one of me lads at 5:20 being picked up. Bloody hell.
Los alemanes salen muy mezclados ¿no? Parecen la division Gross Deutchland y unidades de la SS.
Are they using airsoft?.. Or something different
Real weapons real metal real wood just shooting blanks (bullets that make the sound and effects just no projectile
really good except for 2 things...the guy with cap on backwards instead of a helmet and a guy with a huge beard lol

At 4:50, aren't those U.S. Army leggings on that British soldier?
@24michiganironbrigad yeah I started off in Civil War....went to ww2......looking to get back into Civil War....kinda flip flopping lol
Interessante Bilder. Schöne Darstellung. Schöne Aufnahmen. Würden uns die Männer gern mal alle ausleihen... wir sind zu wenige :-D
Not always: ua-cam.com/video/bWGTL_Gdav4/v-deo.html
Why are they in uniforms they invaded Poland in while fighting Americans? And why was one guy carrying a Soviet SMG on the Western Front?
U need more subs for this work
Why German always lost every reenactment battles?
touche.
American troop more like ex employees of country buffet.
I really don't see how the Germans would have lost in real life in this battle
the "on your knees" thing bugs me...the americans never made the germans get on their knees, they either stood, or *sat*
Steven spielberg le daría un punto bien grande a esa recreación
any tank enthudsiasts here?
enthusiasts* yes.
I’m obsessed a little bit

So hilarious! Early war German impressions (which look very good) against American forces??? Like that ever happened!?!?!?
You can see early war uniforms and gear all the way to 1945 especially in France this can be seen a lot.
@@rileyerickson5593 uniforms, and camo items for ss, indeed but not a single double decal helmet and there are whole squads sporting them.

why did they retreat they had a tank destroy'anti tank guns 'rockets and the americans where advancing witch puts them at the disadvantage

In reenactments german army looks so uneffective... They always lose so easily
