Bought the same model last year. Runs nice and quiet. although I did not realize that I could set the humidity level. Thanks for pointing that out !
glad it helped!
Really helpful video, thanks!
Mine doesn't drain to the hose. How do I get it to bypass the full bucket indicator
Thank you!!
thank for the video
Excellent. Thanks
Hope it was helpful!
❤ Soo much my you are a wonderful teacher as I borrowed this product wanted t know exactly how it's mind worked 😘flooded in Canada BC
Thanks
Welcome!
What do you set it at and how?
Hi great video! I just set mine up in my basement. Quick question what should you set the humidity to on this?
I keep mine at 50
I’ve had this model for about a year now. It leaks out the back, I’ve cleaned it a few times but it continues. Any idea? It’s not from the bucket, it’s happens when it’s on continuous.
Is this an additional unit for your basement? Or did something happen to the other one? Enjoyed the video.
The other one stopped working so I returned it and bought a different brand. Not sure if it was just a bad unit or not but I also got the larger size.
Lol…I’ve been looking for a video for this exact same model…I noticed that you set yours at 45, I did too, but it’s blowing out hot air…will it continue to blow out hot air or will it cool down?
Great 👍🏽 Video Brother…Thanks.
hot air is normal, especially if the air in the room is warm.
What are the dimensions if the garden hose that you used? Is it half an inch?
Just bought one from Home Depot, it doesn't work at all, so I have to take it right back.

Thanks!
Great video. Thanks a ton. Can you explain humidity levels?
The humidity level is the amount of moisture you want in the air. Generally, around 50 is comfortable but you can change it based on your preference.
So do u have 2 fill it up with water or do u have 2 keep the hose connect 2 it
The hose allows the water to drain out. This unit removed water from the air
why does 35% humidity feel extremely cold
I have this model and it uses a lot of juice. I'm trying to determine if it's worth using the timer to save on energy, but am also confused by the timer on/timer off functions. Do I have to set timer on and timer off? or is it just timer on? The instructions are quite unclear. Thanks for any help!
I haven’t used the timing function. I set the humidity level and let it do its thing
I came here with the same question, please let me know if you figure it out. I ideally want it to run for 2 hours, off for 2 hours etc etc
@@kevinm5857Randomly found this but I want it off for 24 hours and then on for 6. I have it set off for 24 and on at 6 on the humidifier. Did you ever figure this out?
Do you have to replace the filter on this Toshiba dehumidifier after a few years, to clean it.
I also have a Toshiba dehumidifier and the filter is on the back of the unit. I took off what i think is the filter and it didn't look dirty and i've used this Toshiba dehumidifier for 2 years.
I blow it off with compressed air. It can get dusty
How do you use the power pump.
the water reservoir doesn't have a pump, its gravity fed.
Is the air that comes out of the side of the exhaust supposed to be hot because my AC in my home quit and running this thing makes me think that it’s just heating up the house worse I’m trying to dehumidify the house while running a portable AC unit and this hot air is a concern
It’s going to be warmer since it’s removing the moisture.
Does yours drain from the hose? Mine keep filling the bucket.
Yes sir, you can either connect a hose or use the tank
Unscrew the hose and make sure there is nothing blocking it, also check the the hose is lower than the tank, if the hose is bending upward, gravity will take the water to the tank
Thank you. I unplugged the hose and made sure nothing is blocking. Gravity has been good. Hope it works now 🤞🏻not sure what else. Should be a simple mechanism…. So I thought.
Why does my bucket fill up when I have the hose hooked up for continuous mode. Thanks
first thing i would check is that the hose is sloping downward. If the the hose to bending up or the unit isn't level causing the hose to angle up slightly, the water will go into the bucket. Its gravity fed so the hose can't be higher that than the outlet.
Instructions for the timer function are confusing. I've tried to follow them, but I can't make the timer work properly. I thought I'd set it to go off for 2.5 hours and on for 2.0 hours. It goes off after 2.5 hours, but it doesn't come back on.
the timer is for one cycle. Its not intelligent enough to be programmed to run at certain times or to be on for 2 hours, off for 2 hours then back on.
I bought the exact dehumidfier at Home Depot and have had nothing but trouble. I connected a hose to drain the water, but the bucket keeps filling up. I' called C/S 5 times but no help. I do not want to have to empty the bucket everyday. The instruction booklet says to run on continous and turbo if using the hose. In my previous dehumidifier I set the dehumidifier to 35 degress. If you have a solution to my problem let me know.
I have mine set at 45, for the hose, is there any spot where the hose is higher than the dehumidifier hose connection?
I called CS and they sent me a "kit" - it's a piece of 1 ft hose with a plug. Haven't installed it but that suppose to fix the issue of not draining thru the hose
@@adevar09 awesome! thanks for the info.
Just wondering if the drian kit they sent fixed your issue? Mine is doing the same thing.
I finally took it back to Home Depot and got a LG. It cost more but it does an amazing job.
Can't get mine to contiuosly drain!
check that the hose isn't higher than the outlet on the unit. Its its angling slightly up, gravity won't do its job.
why is bucket not filling up
If you have a hose on it, the water drains out of there
There is NO PUMP on my model and the 'continuous drain' hose attachment is set HIGHER than the MAX water lever (FULL), of the bucket. WTF? How does it DRAIN????
When the hose is connected, is usually defaults to the hose and only goes to the bucket what the hose is obstructed, make sure the hose doesn’t bend upward, hose needs to travel down so gravity can do the work
I did everything you pointed out but put it on TURBO and CONTINUOUS at the same time.
I have three of these and TWO of them over the course of 2 days without interruption drew approximately 8 oz. of water in the bucket while running. The THIRD filled the bucket to the MAX and shut off and NEVER drained the water. SMH.
Unless I'm missing something and you've been successful, I'd appreciate it greatly if you can let me know exactly what settings you pressed. This should NOT be so complicated unless their supposed engineers screwed up royally somewhere in their design.
Thank you!

Does this model not have a pump in it? I literally only bought this model because online on home depot it said it came with built in pump. It arrives and as im setting it up the manuel keeps saying "if your unit can pump xyz" but I honestly cant tell and will rip someones head off if they sent me the wrong shit. As it seems they did or the online page lied. Fucking bullshit
the one I have in this video does not have a pump, its gravity fed.
@@efd Yes i bought the same model. I was given misinformation from the website. Very frustrating.
Same thing happened to me. I also bought it under the impression that it was well reviewed. If you look at the reviews, there are other units mixed in.
I have the same model, I can't find my manual, the fill light is on, on the display my dehumidifier give P2. What is this code?
The water reservoir is full, it slide out and you can dump it in your dump pit out a sink. If you have a hose connected, check to ensure the hose is flat and not arching upward.
