You had me on the pullout desk part. 😂 I thought you had installed it backwards until you placed your tag on the side. Overall, great transformation stay safe, and all the best in 2025🎉
Neat job. My original prompt to take up woodworking was being unable to purchase a workstation that suited my requirements, customisation is one of the greatest benefits. I've also had exactly the same problem making solid floating shelves; couldn't fit the workpiece and long bit into my drill press, even after drilling part way with a shorter bit then pre-inserting the long one, so had to make a guide for handheld drill. Very glad to see you looking stronger, Jean. May 2025 bring you health and happiness.
What a brilliant idea and something I need to try and incorporate into our bedroom as well. My main computer resides in our bedroom and the monitors, routers, etc. all have blinky lights which can get annoying at night, being able to close them up in a cabinet would be awesome so thanks for sharing this one and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours as well as everyone watching !!!
It looks like your brother is just as talented as you with designing great products. Nice to know your feeling a lot better have a safe and healthy 2025 🎉
Thank you so much for all your effort! I know there areany people who either learn from, get entertainment from, or even live vicariously theough you. Your energy and time put into this channel is recognized by myself and others. A very Happy New Year to you and your family! Here is to a better year for many of us! 🥂
Nice wee project -- I'm glad an unexpected rainshower forced a break from my own year-end woodworking! 😂 Happy new year, @woodshopjunkies, hope 2025 treats you well.
Hopefully, you have a way better 2025, Jean. Happy Newyear to you and your family, I hope that you are recovering well. From one person with a autoimmune disease to another, I know what you are going through 🫣😳. As always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
Very nice design maximising the space available and a simple but excellent solution for your Brother. Happy New Year to you and all your family, heres to a great 2025 for us all.
I thought you were going to rebate the melamine chipboard for the LED channel. For the floating shelf you could have mounted a 19mmx19mm timber cleats to the cabinet sides and the wall. Then rebate a stopped groove in the sides and back of the shelf for it to slide over. That would save you the need to buy special brackets. But that was a great inorovement for your brother.
Happy New Year, health and prosperity. Did you install that pull out desk part backwards? Oh, nevermind. I should have known better. 😊 Anyway, nice design and very useful.
Way to take care of the "Bro" Jon. Great to see you back on the saw and to have your brother helping grow the channel. Most importantly, here's to a HEALTHY 2K25! !! !!! USA 95648
One quick tip I would like to give you, when working with melamine of which I have done a lot, do not wipe the drilling dust off of the surface with your bear hands, I cannot begin to tell you how many times a piece of that razor sharp melamine has slit my finger when I have unconsciously done it unconsciously done it more times than I care to count.

I thought the same myself. Greetings to all from Brazil!
Same. I kept saying, "Dude, you gotta cover that bare edge!"
As if the computer screen can hear me.
I know!!! I was like, "Damnit!" But oh no, he ninja'd us! LOL
Sorry to hear about your health challenges. I hope you make a fully recovery and avoid any more problems.
My interpretation of a “nice, simple project for the end of the year” was to replace a rubber washer on a hose spigot. 😂
Cheers! Happy New Year. Technically this project is the last of 2024, but I think it also counts as a great start to 2025.
This is brilliant!
I’d love to incorporate more lights in my work but don’t know much about electrics. I think I’m gonna have to go on a course!

11:50 Ah. I was wondering why you didn't edge band that little section of melamine. Nice work.
Wow, I’m the first to watch this video!
Nope, I'm first! 😊
Happy New Year, health and prosperity. Did you install that pull out desk part backwards? Oh, nevermind. I should have known better. 😊 Anyway, nice design and very useful.
Does the pullout desk not go in when you are sitting at it, does it not locking in place when it is out ?
