Let's Play Conquest of Elysium 5: Dwarf Queen Part 1

In this new let's play of Conquest of Elysium 5, we take on the role of the Dwarf Queen. The winner of our first ever poll, people are interested in seeing how to play this class and I am obliged to answer. This will be a grind depending on the opponents we run against so we will have to trust in our armor to save us!
As always this will be a beginner friendly playthough and played to completion. We are running against 6 AI opponents on the Count difficulty. Join us on our journey to see what the Dwarves can do!

Happy to see another series starting up, great content as always Todbog. Good job on relying on regular Dwarves for your early frontline, they are probably more useful and cost effective than Dwarf Warriors in most circumstances. One thing you may want to consider is utilizing Outdoor Dwarves more. For their price they are very cost effective and readily available scouts and allow dwarves to be excellent at spotting stealthy units compared to other factions. If you're short on iron and don't have an easy way to get a better balance of resources they're often worth considering in place of Sappers, as they're quite comparable. I don't think there are many good reasons not to have an Outdoor Dwarf with basically every stack of multiple units, potentially even every solo scouting leader as well.
Once you have your iron income under control, you may want to switch to trading for diamonds. They'll be particularly helpful for upgrading to your tier 3 Dvala, as well as getting Runesmiths online. Good luck in this series. Dwarves are a challenging faction in their current state, I'm interested to see how you manage with your standard settings.

Indeed. I probably should be utilizing Outdoor Dwarves more as the scouting will definitely come in handy. They were my defacto goto prior to Sappers being a choice. -Todbog

The dwarf queen actually births eggs which hatch into dwarves. So she is laying eggs not unlike the Queen from the Aliens franchise. I don't know if that makes it better or worse for you though. lol -Todbog
