Is there a reliable way to get enemy armies to engage you on a forest tile? Supposedly stealth units don't work well for this because the AI avoids forests due to the high pathfinding cost.

I've only played a little of CoE4 but I enjoyed the troll king the most. The sequel looks like a big upgrade to me because of the overrun mechanic, no more having to slog through a million battles of one deer each and other assorted crap.

You can increase/decrease the difficulty of all AIs with the +/- keys. The uploader has probably figured this out a long time ago, but just in case someone wonders.

The Markgraf will always be my favorite faction I saw one guy gave them a flavor mod that is a bit much (too many citadels) But i love just how dumb your build can become

Mh. Feels like Orms or Linnorms should be made amphibuous to counter the Troll King weakness to water a bit. The lake Trolls are far too rare in supply to do that.

I'm confused about why the Trollking died. I thought regeneration allowed any unit under 150% max HP damage to regenerate back to life?

Maybe in a few years he'll be back for Coquest of Elysium 6 ;)

Why does the merchant table have items way before you can afford them? Seems kind of pointless to add them so early on at that price. Also seems like you could craft these items long before you have enough scrap to buy them.

29:19 Do you think you could have played that encounter any better? It seems tactics have very little weight in these scenarios. Well maybe that changes when you have enough ability to form some type of synergy or cohesion.

Chantel, nooo! She was a real one too. Might have been avoidable if this game actually had proper squad tactics. I don't see how you can isolate/separate mobs seeing as they are stuck together like glue. That and LOS doesn't seem to be a thing for structures. Pretty braindead combat really.

Arbalest is a crank crossbow not gundpowder far as i understand.

You use the marketplace to get one iron per turn.

Baron seems to be good starting class i only won with baron and priests that are summoning angles

At about 6:00, the army here has way too many rows in front of the archer's which makes them useless and also the back row casteres almost useless as most spells are 5-8 range (conversion is only 5 range so it wll never get used). 2 rows of Templars are plenty then a couple rows of archers. This meeans that the archers and casters all get thier shots off and more conversions. The rest can be split off into another army.

Loving this playthrough. I never think of playing the voice of El but you have me interested now that I see how strong they can be when played well.

Enjoying this play through so far and am looking forward to seeing your attack on the Elemental plane. I find one of the keys to playing the Warlock is to keep trying to get the level 2 duel elemental rituals (Magma / Mud for example) these will summon 3-18 of these warriors for 50 gems which make a good survivable front line and are the key to not spending all your money on a vulnerable human front line.

I've played this playlist from beginning to end, and I have to say, you have demonstrated that the Markgraf is... Not exactly strong, but it is generally viable to play as long as you act fast and have a bit of blessing from Lady Fortune. The limitations in both movement and necromantic capability are big hit to the viability of the class, but if you get some strong undeads early on through major summons, you can survive, thrive and even triumph. This was a nice run! Pity that the first attempt was killed so soon by a contrived meteor destroying your main base, but eh, what can you do?

First off, didn't Grand Nekromants have regain sanity in CoE 4? Did they get nerfed? Second... Wow. What are the odds of a huge rock falling from space and obliterating your home town? WHAT ARE THE FREAKING ODDS?

Do you have to end to turn to initiate combat? The lack of explanation in this game is such a turn off
