To answer your question better than the other guy did, the 114 is the newest motor, and it was made to run quieter and smoother than the older 103. Many of the changes were made to make the valve train and other internal parts quieter, but, based off what many owners have said, it sounds like some of those changes have led to the whole motor being quieter-including the exhaust.

I have a 2020 114 breakout and just added those same pipes. My bike doesn't sound that good. Why is that?
The 2020 Breakout has a 114'' engine and the 2016 has a 103'' engine, might be that :)
