My husband owned a '69 SS 396 when we met. After we married he had to teach me how to drive and I learned on the stick shift. I loved the '69 as much as he did and I got really good at street racing. When someone would pull up next to me and raced his engine I couldn't wait to leave them in the dust. LOVED IT!!!!
My dads first car was a 67 Malibu SS with the 375hp 396 with the 4 speed. He had it until the gas crunch of the early 70's when he sold it to a high school kid who got drunk and wrapped it around a tree. While street racing.

That's why ford and dodge did so well with sales with the mustang and the challenger, The brought them back keeping a reasonable appearance of the muscle cars we grew up with. If chevrolet does bring back the SS Chevelle they won't be able to make them fast enough. I think it the nostalgia we're missing of the good ol days.
I have always wanted a 1967 Chevy Chevelle! This is what I looked like in 1967. Me and my pals dragged Main Street in Clovis New Mexico in 1967 it was one of my friends car but I never got one of my own. This new 2025 is a beautiful peach of a car l bet is a great seller and a prize to own.
I had a brand new, right off the showroom floor, '68 Chevelle SS. Gloss black with cream leather buckets. HiPo 396 with 350 HP. And a Ton of torque! Mated to a four speed, and had AC and all the other fancy options available at the time. 😊 I was in the Marine Corps and had just re-enlisted for four more years, got a 4400 dollars reenlistment bonus, took that money down to the local Chevrolet dealership down the road from the USMC base, and used it all to buy that car! I had about $500 left out of the 4400! The total price on that car was about 3900! It's probably worth $50,000 or more now. 😢😢
I like it, I Like It A LOT! I would buy one if it runs on gas and is affordable and just think how much money the car makers would make if they all started updating and selling the classics like this.
I read in an automotive magazine or article that before 2035 they are going to come up with some real high performance cars, this maybe stepped up as 2030 seems to be the push. So you never know some of these concept revivals may happen yet.
I owned a 68 SS 396 Chevelle convertible and a 1970 402 El Camino I wish I had them now but I still havey 57 Chevy sedan delivery with the 2017 better LT1 and the ZL1 Camaro 10 speed trans , and a 67 Z28, also a 97 Vette manual 6 speed
You have some nice cars! I had a 69 Camaro back in the day. Have a 2018 ZL1 with 10sp auto. It mostly sits in my basement on a battery tender. But she’s fun to drive on a sunny day.

She took off like a rocket and cornered like a roller coaster ... (when gas was like $0.35 a gallon, too)! The car impressed the ladies, and a $20 bill went a looonng way on date night. 😉 Since it had buckets up front, gotta go in the back to watch the nightime Maple Lake submarine races. You *HAD* to strap in if you weren't grasping the wheel. I kept a heavy AF concrete parking stopper thingie in my trunk to minimize wasted spinout time and rubber skidding. Woosh! Thinking of it, Jesus definitely was looking out for me from His place atop my dashboard and below His crucifix dangling from my mirror; a blessing by Mom and Grandma. Good luck coins were tossed into my brand new car by Grandpa, who fake spat to keep me humble (against the evil eye), were kept in the glove box. So, I insisted that they must eventually comit to stop behaving like they just walked off the boat (from the old country), though I was touched by their genuine pride in and joy for me with well wishes, blessings ... and their concern expressed through superstitions. God, I miss my cheerleading squad.

I had a 67 Chevelle SS396 375 HP, from 1974 to 1977. It was the Fastest Car I ever owned with a L-88 CAM, Headers, 800 Holley Carb, 4 Speed and 4:88 Gears. A Great Street Racer. I could kick myself for selling it so I could get a Divorce. A stupid move by me because it was a rare car with Disc brakes.

I had a 67 Chevelle SS396
375 HP, from 1974 to 1977. It was the Fastest Car I ever owned with a L-88 CAM, Headers, 800 Holley Carb, 4 Speed and 4:88 Gears. A Great Street Racer. I could kick myself for selling it so I could get a Divorce. A stupid move by me because it was a rare car with Disc brakes.
