@@stingray4xe142 thanks, just installed it, great decorative piece and loved how it covered my shocks reservoir, bypassers kept screwing with my reservoir adjustment and now it’s out of vision and reach
Great Video! Only question, how were you able to tighten the Right Side / Lower Bumper Bolt? I have tried several options, but just too tight to get any tightening.
I was able to do it. Very tight quarters though. I believe it was one click at a time with a ratcheting wrench. I’d guess the contour of the VR helped.
Just out of the subject question,,, Do you have any idea about Jeep 4xe battery cost including the replacement fees. I am going to get jeep 4xe but anxious that battery cost investment
They are too new to know really. The hybrid system including the battery is under the 10yr/100k warranty. By that point battery technology/cost will be different. Hard to put a future price on the battery at this point.
Bey bro the winch came with the plate where you mount it?? Also the netal spacers that you installed between the back of the winch and the grill cane in the box too? Or do I have to buy a kit or something for my 4xe???
No. The winch just came with the winch and fairlead. There are several companies that make the mounting plates. I used Maximus-3 for the plate and cover plates.
Below are the links for the plate and winch. You can find the winch at most Offroad stores. You don’t have to use warn. Lots of people have used smittybilt or badlands. JLU you’ll want a 9-12k lbs winch. Winch Mount: maximus-3.com/home/jl-winch-mount-kit Winch: smile.amazon.com/dp/B07SJHVQTJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NZESPAY9RFVTGV84YQNS
Thank you for your time and sharing with us.
Nice video 👍🏼 I received my Rubicon yesterday all white not a hybrid and it’s beautiful I really enjoy it.
Thanks! You’ll really enjoy it. These new JLs are NICE!
@@stingray4xe142 so far so good. Thanks for the video. Much better than reading instructions. I’m putting mine on as I type.
Thanks for the feedback! Hope it goes well.
Chrome sockets with an impact driver? I too like to live dangerously.
Why do you say this? (apologies, I’m new to diy auto work)
Great work! What’s the decorative cover plates link? Looks good

I went with the standard, but they do make some for zeon series.
@@stingray4xe142 thanks a lot, mine is EVO 12 S so I think its perfect

Whats the recommended lbs for a winch would 8,000 lbs be OK or is 10,000 lbs
As heavy as the 4xe is I’d say 10k minimum.
Great video my only complaint is you should have been wearing Burkenstocks instead of the flip flops, smh.

Thanks! I’m subscribed to you. Really enjoy the information you are putting out.
@@stingray4xe142 I made that mutual.
You didn't have to widen the back two bolt holes of the skid plate at all?
No. The skid plate didn’t need any modification.
Can you tell what hardware we need to attach the hose on the battery ?
Should be an m8-1.25 nut.
@@stingray4xe142 the original one didn't work?
Mine only had one. I ran it like that for a while. Then added a new nut to the other post
4x4 = 4 by 4;
4xE = 4 by E… not “ex” 😎
Tomato / tomato 🤣
I will work on it!
What brand winch plate and where you purchase it from ?
Sorry for the delay! It’s a maximus3 plate. Ordered directly through them.
