Stellar stuff! Rubi is a mountain goat. Just ordered one. Fantastic camera work and drone shots! HS off road park is on my list!! Have you heard about Merus Adventure Park outside Amarillo? Palo Duro Canyon. Its a Mini Moab. 👍👍😎🇺🇸
I can’t wait for a full EV Wrangler. Silent wheeling, doors off, enjoying nature! Enjoy, brother because I’m hearing that 4xe’s are sold out for the year.
It’s weird. Hearing the birds chirp and wind blowing. Normally you can’t hear the drone over the engine of my other jeeps. This one you can definitely hear it.
I saw another video jeep wouldn't climb hill 4bye mode till they pushed button then it climbed right up greater torque same gearing right off the line.
@@stingray4xe142 I agree, don't anticipate any changes unless trivial stuff. Would you do it again? I am a little apprehensive, I'm really a diesel guy. But with all the insane epa stuff attached these days, looking fir other option.
Awesome video and great way to complete thr trail and shoot it with a drone. I also have the 21 Rubicon 4xe. No upgrades yet. What were the setting? Did u use 4L and swaybar disconnected or 4H? Thanks
Thank you! I have asked about the issue. Apparently it’s by design due to the dual clutch. It was suggested to use the “crawl control” function and let the computer do its thing. I’m going back to the Offroad park around July 4th and plan on doing a crawl control video. I hope it fixes the issue. Made me lose my line a few times.
@@stingray4xe142 Man, that’s concerning. I don’t love “cruise control“ when I’m off roading. It looks like you were able to smooth it out a little bit as the day went on - Please keep us posted.
I went out yesterday. I’ll get a video uploaded this week as work allows. I will say that the crawl control works. But still not a fan. It will still bounce at a rock face instead of allowing the tires to stay spinning. My drone was a victim of a tree, so I doubt I have much footage☹️
@@stingray4xe142 Here they deliver it with 255/75R17 M/T and we have to go to the aftermarket for 285 AT´s and additional rims as 285´s are not allowed on the standard rims here.
@@stingray4xe142 sweet! Thank you. This will be my first time on a trail. I've been mud riding and stuff given that I grew up in the south. But never been real serious off roading before.
HSORV is a good mix of skill. That was my first real offroad experience back in 2006. With limited experience and a stock rubicon I’d recommend sticking to 3s and below. Rubicon ridge is the most challenging “Jeep Badge of Honor” trails. They are all possible in a stock Jeep though. Have fun!
Like your video! What trail is it that you start at around the 5 minute mark? Aslo after reading the comments was wondering how many buttons you jeep guys got? (jk)
The only issue I have had is a loose fuse and loose ball joints. First things I’d do on delivery is seat all of the fuses in the fuse box, check fuel cap, and if the front end creaks get the BJs retorqued.
Nice run. Awesome that the 4xe is still capable.
It does really well. I think using crawl control will stop the jumping. Other than that the skids got a workout!
Love the dual camera view.
Really enjoyed this video, I need to give this park a go.
Can’t imagine driving and droning! Multitasking!
It was a little nerve racking for sure! This mavic air 2s makes it easier. My old phantom 3 didn’t dodge the trees like this one 🤣
@@stingray4xe142 I still got my old original Mavic, but boy has tree avoidance improved in the newer models. Can't wait to see you new videos!
This was a great video
Thank you

Dont hold your breathe
Things have changed in the past year. Dealerships in the OKC area have dozens of 4xe's on the lot, both Sahara and Rubicon models.
You can hear the wind blow. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

a crawl button if u want to call it.
it was slow crawl up went right up hill after pushing button no climb 4by e w/out it
I plan on using it next time. Hopefully see the difference!
Great footage, thank you for sharing. Waiting for 2022 model year ordering, any warnings?
I think MY22 will be much of the same since the 4xe was released later in the MY21. Maybe color changes and possibly the recon rubicon package.

Usually 4L sway bar disco. Seemed to work the best.
Great video! Please let me know what you find out about the rocking back issue that you experienced with the clutch. Thanks!

How are you finding the 4xe ? They are not available in the UK yet.
I’m in the US. They are pretty easy to find here. Most people have to order currently with the chip shortage.
@@stingray4xe142 that 4th of July video Jeep put out that teased a full electric Wrangler said the 4xe were all sold for ‘21.
That's awesome! Were you in 4 Low with sway bar disconnected on the rocky section?
Yes majority of the time I was in 4low with the sway bar disco. Lockers were on a need basis.
I am also in the hot springs area and plan on getting a 4xe. Did you have crawl control on when you had the rocking issue?
I did not, I am planning on going back out soon. I will be using it. I’ll make a video of the difference it makes.
What is the Tyre Dimension? In Germany we just get BF Goodrich MT´s as standard but this looks like the same size but in A/T
285/70/17 and they are ATs. I don’t think you can get the 4xe rubicon with MTs in the US. Weird that you guys get it.

Just got my Rubicon 4xe; SKID plates......have you added any especially engine/trans?
Not yet. I hear after and MC are making some.
The factory skid plates can take a beating
So they let you do the trails with temp tags? I just bought a 4xe and we were planning to go in a month. I didn't even think about the temp tags.
Yeah as long as you meet the requirements of the park. Been going there for years and I don’t think I’ve ever been asked for registration

Nice !
No lift and stock suspension ?
Thanks
All stock minus the winch.

That’s squid jaunt. Right by rock garden. These JLs have a lot of buttons 🤣
I definitely missed that trail during our Christmas trip there. It is exactly the kind of trail I like.
Make sure you disable traction control !
The TC is disabled in 4lo. Crawl control makes it a little better but it still will do this. I have gotten used to it at this point 🤣
icried after watching this
Haha why?
Are you having any issues with transmission temperature on the hill climbs?
So far no. On not off-road. We went to CO and had no problems even with the summits out there
Did you use the regen button on that last downhill? If so did it help on braking?
The max regen does really help. I normally have it on anytime the Jeep is driving, Offroad or on.
