Figaro Bracelet - One is real one is FAKE. How can you tell which is real gold?

There is so much fake jewelry out there. How to you tell the difference between a real gold bracelet or a fake one that is plated? In this video we will compare two 9 inch Figaro bracelets comparable in looks, size and weight and quickly determine which one is the real deal and which one is plated.

I spotted the fake. The top bracelet looks more professionally made and has sharper facets. Plated chains don’t usually have facets that sharp and clean; they’re probably harder to make and they probably don’t retain the plating as well.

There's a massive gap in the jump ring on the fake one. They're usually solid not always but usually and when they're not they are usually nice and flush with each other

That's what I always noticed to with the gaps and the fake ones are more spacious than the real one.

I went to a pawn shop to get a bracelet checked, the staff was very unprofessional, says one look he knows is fake. says it is tarnish and gold will not tarnish. Never do any test. Even if fake need to run a test as formal declaration.

Both of my chains say 14k and ive done all the tests and it has past but a pawn shop told me they were fake

You can tell if it says GP or EP or GF markings! Or by a strong magnet! You can use a gold nitric aciding test kit! And never buy unless a knowledgeable person test for gold content beforehand!
