      @@SharkAcademy "dirty" player. Lol its Texas hold em poker my guy. Half the game is reading buffs and Tony gave him a verbal bluff. Lets no forget that bluffing, even when not trying to be vocal about it, is still lying. The half the point of the game is to lie to win, just most time your opponent is trying to read your body language rather than your words. Honestly i think Phil got flustered and got too attached to "etiquette" and he lost hard because of it. I'd call that a master class bluff from Tony for sure. Just because these guys are pro's doesnt mean they should get friendly and let their guard down. I bet you phil was more mad at himself for falling for that than he was a Tony and thats why he acted the way he did. "unspoken rules" are always a losers excuse. You never see winners whining afterwards about "unspoken" rules.

    Tony G is a total tilt artist--I think he purposely does this to get to Phil so he can win. Even though it's pretty dirty, Phil was probably going to call whether Tony said he looked at his hand because he probably put him on some sort of bluff to begin with and said "Wow, I really think he's strong". I think he said "Well, if you haven't looked then..." because in case Hellmuth looks like a fool calling, he could attack his character later. At the Million Dollar Cash game Tony wasn't like this at all. It may also be because he is drinking a bit. The puns are pretty imaginative though, I must say.

      Tony's played a lot of poker with Phil. And I doubt there is love lost between the two. He's as sore a winner as Phil is a sore loser. "Have you ever seen that in a high limits game?" - I could probably find a tape of Phil doing it to someone else... 99% chance it has happened. But Phil would continue the lie after the hand and say "aw, dumb luck, sorry you lost." or some other snide remark. Because Phil is not a gracious winner either. I just had a good idea for how to win a lot of money in poker, but it's sort of unethical. First, you wait for a good hand, like AK. Then, when the other player doesn't see you, you beat the shit out of him with a baseball bat and run away with his money. Sure, the other player's poker coach might say it's "messed up," but I think it should work.

    • @longlee1100
      @longlee1100 6 років тому +67

      that is different. Lying in poker is perfectly acceptable. Hell, the entire poker game is built based on bluffing aka lying. hitting someone with baseball bat is not lying, you physically harming someone else with 100% certainty while lying doesn't. Hellmuth shoudn't trust G because this is poker, but he trusted G , so.....

      Yep dude but it's about etiquette and fairplay. In tennis, when a line ref shouts out when the ball is on the line and you can't contest it, your opponent is calling hawkeye for you, and if the ref is fully retarded he loses the point on purpose. That's what great players do.
      More than fairplay, it's about education and class, what's the whole point of winning a game if you're playing dirty or cheating ?
      On the other hand Phil is a morron almost as much as Tony G so ... :D
