I love that some of those characters are so closely tied to the actors in the movies that even AI can't imagine them much different 😃 Amazing video, it's very nice to see the characters in a new way, I really enjoyed all their alternative looks.
1) Aragorn would not have a beard. 2) Eomer would be blonde. 3) Legolas and Haldir would be dark haired. 4) Too much plate armor. 5) Golum, Bombadil, Gimli, Glorfindel, and Denethor are spot-on. 6) Treebeard is a joke.
Anyone else seeing Robin Williams in Bilbo and Frodo, Thorin in Aragorn and some strange mashup of Ned Stark and Jorah from Game of Thrones? XD To be honest I'd be impressed, if the Character names were not mentioned when generating 'cause then that thing would be pretty good at guessing or more like: Those characters became the go to
Since when is Eomer dark-haired? He was blond! In the books, Boromir and Faramir are both dark-haired and gray-eyed; and Faramir's hair is described as "raven", i.e. black.
We are sorry that you feel this way, but for us that means we need to put more effort in our videos, so maybe one day you will be happy to watch another video or ours. Thank you for your comment!
Nope. It's you who is misrembering. Frodo is described as "taller than some and fairer than most" (The Fellowship of the Ring, Chap 10), but "fair" here (as elsewhere by Tolkien) means comely, good-looking etc. It doesn't mean light-coloured hair!
These AI portraits are top-notch. I particularly liked the female characters. Your Galadriel is so very close to how I've always imagined her that it's a little uncanny: almost as if your AI has raided my brain! 😅
@@robleyshon8665 Fairer in regards looks still refers to colouring but could simply refer to him having paler skin rather than lighter hair. Snow White is the fairest in the land but has pitch black hair. That also suggests skin colouring is more important than hair when using fair. Tolkien used tall and fair as a trope for 'ideal looking/better'. He uses it with the Rohirrim and Numenorians regardless of hair colour.
@damionkeeling3103 "fair" in Tolkien's work generally meant "beautiful", in the same sense as "Monday's child is fair of face". While it could mean light coloured he tended to use "golden" for blonde hair and "pale" for light skin.

Aegnor, Angrod & Galadriel are all younger siblings of Finrod... without Finrod you dont have Beren life saved which lead to Eärendil's saving the world by inspiring the Valar to help the free peoples of middle earth to put an end to Morgoth once and for all through what became the 80 year long War Of Wrath etc... then you also wouldn't have Elrond and Elros(Maybe born but there'd be no Númenor...
Impressive, but... nah. Most of them feel wrong for not being the Jackson actors. From the trilogy, of course, I have no opinion of Radagast and Rosie didn't have enough screen time to be locked in in my mind. That one looked good. Gollum looked too human to me.
The Hobbits and dwarves are too cool. They should be plump and funny, not looking like Balenciaga models. You can see here how A. I. really is prone to mainstream. It's a collage of what you can find on the web merged together to be coherent, there is no '"interpretation" at all, sorry if you think the opposite.
Just retreads of how they looked in the Jackson films. I was hoping for something more original. I'm personally sick of hunky hobbits; they are supposed to be rotund and big-nosed.
Rosie Cotton looks like an 8 year old child and not as she should, i.e. similar to an early twenties human. Gollum is described as black in the books, I don't mean just dark skin, but black.

AI magic characters reborn lol??? Ok maybe change the title of the video lol. Just going off the title then i would rate these as normal bland generic and give them 4/10 lol. Now if you just named it something else like lord of the rings characters in a 70s or 80s style then ya but other then that these are not good reborn characters lol.

Amazing video, it's very nice to see the characters in a new way, I really enjoyed all their alternative looks.
Glad to hear that!
These were using the film actors as a template, not made up randomly.
Awesome.
Most of these I'm going, 'nah,' but Gollum was really well done! The best one of the bunch.

Real men have beards.
@@adrielburned6924 How is that taking a dump?
So Peter Jackson pretty much nailed it with his casting choices.
rosie is adorable in this
Great portraits. Even with AI it's not always easy to get things as you want them but these interpretations are excellent. 👍
Thank you so much!
Yeah, AI sometimes gets really weird.
Glad you like them!
Lovely images .
Well done!! Very impressive!
Merry and Pippin look more like Elijah Wood's Frodo.
Other than that, it looks awesome.

Denethor looks like my grandad with a mullet……fantastic

Need to get rid of the plate armour, they really weren't wearing much more than chainmail and an open faced helmet.
Yeah, plate armour doesn't appear until the fifteenth century while Tolkien's work was evoking an earlier period, somewhere between 600 and 1000 AD.
Did anyone else see Bob Ross in Tom Bombadil?
Que lindos personajes, excepto Eomer, creo que la IA se confundió 😅
Gollum was played by Lance Henriksen apparently and Gríma Wormtongue was not played by Brad Dourif.
Riders of Rohan were blonde!
The Dark Crystal AI Portraits
I love how Glorfindel is Henry Cavill and Haldir is Ryan Reynolds
And Radagast is Ozzyman.
What's with the widow's peak?
I was looking for this exact comment!! Why do so many of them have a super pronounced widows peak?? 😂
Well done, I'm subscribing.
Thank you for your sub!
Except nobody ever remembers that Frodo’s hair is “fairer than most”
