Ian McKellen and Christopher Lee's roles as Gandalf and Saruman were so incredibly good they have become synonymous to the characters. So much so that even the AI understands it.
They were fucking perfect

You know what i liked the most? Uploader/maker didn't just leave the presentation at Picture/names only. The information which is given both at the beginning and with each visual made it so much better. Informative for who haven't read it yet and memory refreshing for those who already did.
Spot on! I am a big fan of Tolkien, and of course I know much more then it is written. But I still enjoyed reading every single sentence!

Saruman didn't want to be Sauron's lieutenant, he wanted to take his place. He made the Uruk Hai as his own and told them to find the halflings and bring them to him alive so he could claim the ring and overthrow Sauron. He never told Sauron that he knew where the ring was.

@@leeannproctor47 they do, but Elbereth or Varda is the one the reach out to the most, because the elves love stars above anything else.
The wizard's interpretation was spot on awesome. Loved how Saruman had Orthanc and birds in the backround.
I'm impressed. I could definitely see each of those as being who they're supposed to be. Excellent job.

The music is so great and ominous! It reminds me of how terrifying it must have been for Maeglin to stand before Morgoth. And how fearful we were for Huron when he did the same. Tolkien communicated the terror of Morgoth’s presence so well that when you read the silmarilion you can almost clearly imagine how terrible it must be to be near him let alone speak to him

I always think that the Valar and Maiar are not human at all, unless they wear a body to be physically in Arda, like Morgoth, Sauron, Melian and the Istari.
I suspect that the idea was to show the physical forms of these characters.
Ulmo looks sort of serpentine.
They aren't, but they shift into humanoid forms to sit on their physical thrones.
I think Eru is so far off but the rest are close

@@anarion211983напомню что из-за выпущенной силы в конце войны гнева затонул Белерианд, а там сражались только майр, эльфы и люди, если бы Манвэ выпустил всю свою силу там бы и Средиземью хана бы пришла, так что не совсем понимаю это утверждение, Манвэ понимал, что не может на полную махаться с Мелькором не уничтожив Средиземье, а может и А'рду в целом, к тому же Моргот был настолько ослаблен, что его бы и Эонвэ взял бы под стражу, слишком детское утверждение

Well yeah but he did still serve Sauron in the books, even if it was not his end goal. In both the books and the movies he rebelled by trying to bring the ring to orthanc instead of mordor

Epic. Although ill admit i was hoping to see Ungoliant. I know shes not vala or maia.
Actually, Ungoliant is classified as a Maia, one of many, like the Balrogs and Sauron, corrupted by Melkor long before Arda was made.
@@williamking3301 no, Ungoliant is a being as old as Arda itself and classified as a Nameless Thing, neither Maiar or Valar. Ungoliant was on Arda, along with a few other primordial beasts, like The Watcher, long before Melkor and the other Valar arrived. He did not have any control over Ungoliant either, they both shared the same goal and became partners. She wasn't corrupted by him, nor his slave. After she fed on the trees, she became too powerful for Morgoth and almost killed him. If it wasn't for Gothmog, Durin's Bane, along with a Balrog army pushing her back, making her retreat, she would have devoured Melkor. She eventually got trapped due to her size, and her hunger was so insatiable she ate herself alive. Shelob, her offspring is also older than Sauron and was on Arda before he was.
Mairon(Sauron) was not the greatest of the Miar............he was second or third......the greatest of the the Miar was Eonwe the herald of Manwe.
He was propably greatest of miar in middle earth, but there were only around dozen of them in third age
Ilmarë and Eönwë were the chief Maiar.

The art is okay, but are too human looking. The Valar are supposed to be more akin to Elves than Men.

No. There a hundreds if not thousands of Maiar. He didn't forget her just as much he didn't forget all the others.

@@stefanpieper3757 Yes Melian is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT than those other Maiar that you mention because she was a CENTRAL CHARACTER of the FIRST AGE! She is Maiar just like Sauron, Saruman, Gandolf, Radagast, The Blue Wizards, and the Balrogs! Melian was not in the background like those other Maiar during the Age of the Music.. Melian had dialogue, she was the one and only Maiar to have sex with her Elf King husband and given birth to Luthien .. She used her Maiar powers to defend her realm. So YES.. She is more important and should have been INCLUDED among that group of AI Maiar!
@@Ameslan1 The first rise of the sun woke the first Humans. Pretty important. The rest of your argument rests on what WE see. But the most important Maiar lived in Valinor, not Middle Earth, were our story takes place. Melian is simply an outlier, because she is one of the few Maiar who kept residence in Middle Earth.
Minor point: Mairon is not really a canon name. It's what we can call ascended canon or pseudo canon just because most people believe it so it's accepted but there is no traceable origin from Tolkien. My opinion, just let's pretend it's the real name, is a welcome addition to the lore.

I have to disagree. Varda was smoking hot. Vana and Nessa were pretty hot as well. The male Valar (and Eru) were impressive and intimidating, but not that hot.
