I am Lithuanian who lives in Ireland since 2006 , I just read the history of Lithuania and realised that my ancestors came from the Jutland Peninsula and from present-day Poland.

Thank you for making this video. As a Filipino we opened our doors to many Jews back then when no country wanted to accept them. They lived in an island and were treated well they even helped the community as well. This video is heart breaking on both sides and does put light in the current situation. Thank you.

I married and lived in Beirut in '68 onwards until '74. I went with a party of friends to visit the ancient city of Baalbek. On the way we passed a refugee camp of tents (not breeze block) tents which went on for miles and stretched to the horizon. These were the displaced Palestinians thrown out of their country for refusing to recognise the State of Israel on their land. I cried that day and many days after. Now all these years later I am still crying as the Israelis carry out the second Al-Nakba.

The narrator is the POSTER of the video on YT, and he is so naive he cannot pronounce Arab, Polish, or Tel Aviv properly, and many other names, he says URS for USSR. The narrator may be reading the original French script abbreviated and translated, but he does a POOR and IMMATURE job of it, he sounds like the biggest and hardest conflict he has ever had in his life is deciding what toppings he is trying to choose for his delivered pizza. Also the version we are hearing here is very basic, but the visuals were professionally produced by a French documentary company, who researched and acquired all the old rare film, see the credits at the end. This is how a lot of YT works, and most people are fooled by it, but I found the basic history in this video to be accurate.

I have interviewed WW 2 vets of Puerto Rico's 65th Infantry Regiment. They liberated several concentration camps in 1944-45.
