I can not believe how affordable that 3rd gorgeous house is!! So beautiful. All of them are great though.
Thank you for being so resourceful. We are so ready to make the move. I love the way Tony looks at Ayo with such love in his eyes. Love the chemistry between you two.❤
@Ann Jones - Love that! Thanks for the comment ❤️️🇬🇭❤️️.
Tony, I see why you loved the 3rd house, it was awesome. If you get it...when family comes to visit, you'll have your own compound for y'all to enjoy 😎
@Black Hannah - It won't be on the market for long and thanks for the comment 😊!
I just want to say, you guys are amazing. Your channel is AWESOME.
Thank you for your outstanding videos. Would you do a video on the type electronics items that are necessary to have when moving to Ghana, such as, surge protectors, battery backup for phone and computers.
@Alfonso Pugh - We can take that under consideration and thanks for the comment 😊!
Every item you need you can get in Ghana. 😀😀😀
The houses are beautiful and spacious. Thank you for showing a part of Ghana not known by many, amazing places, history and culture.
Great comment - Thanks for adding to the conversation ❤️️💛💚!
I loved house #3. Thank you so much for showing us these properties. Amen

It is really time for me to reflect on cost of living and quality of life.
You can do it!
@@ExpatLifeGhana Thank you for the encouragement.

Totally agree @Howard Cash! And thanks for adding this to the conversation 🤗.
Still charmed. Flew to Google to make sure you all were far from the awful
explosion. Beautiful properties. Thx. Stay happy.
@Gerald Davino -Really appreciate the concern and thanks for the comment 😊!
Thanks for this video. Loved loved loved the third house. The wood features, the kitchen & the overall layout is super nice. Love that the primary bedroom is downstairs away from the others. I’d definitely lease the third one if I had to choose. All the houses your featured were nice but the third is my favorite
3rd house is a steal. Thanks Ayo and Tony.
@Dado Boye -Just because it is a steal I want it and thanks for the comment 😊!
Thanks for all that you guys are doing!
As a new subscriber, I truly enjoy your cheerful demeanor.
Great video 👍🏾🌻🙏🏾.
Awesome @Lioness Sekhmet! Thanks for subbing and welcome to Expat Life ❤️️!
@@ExpatLifeGhana Thank you kindly. Be blessed!
Very nice video.
The first house had questionable electrical wiring.
Well done guys
Thank you for your comment! ❤️️👍😊
Thanks for sharing guys, I really enjoy your videos
Hello Tony and Ayo. Well done, if I did not already have a house. I would definitely go for house number 3.
Good choice!
Loved all the houses
@amornesta -Glad you appreciated it and thanks for the comment 😊!
I'm not planning to move but love watching your videos. Tony you SHOULD grab that last house! What would a house like that sell for?
@Mark hartgrove - No less than 375K USD for that and thanks for the comment 😊!
See you guys soon.
@Delim Jamar -Don't miss the meet and greet and thanks for the comment 😊!
@@ExpatLifeGhana I'm looking forward to it and I won't miss it for the world.
Tony, I like both of your shirts. Though the gray shirt is a nice way to promote your business #ExpatLifeGhana
You've got that right @A2theB! Thanks for commenting ❤️️🇬🇭❤️️!
Greetings Expat Life Ghana, you both didn't disappoint as the the apartments-homes are very affordable for retired seniors like myself as well as so many other diasporans who on relocating back to our motherland. The décor are decent from what I have seen herein, I would love to purchase a vacation home there in Ghana or even Rwanda. Thanks for sharing and loving the content.
@Nefertem Ur -We appreciate that. Some are surprisingly affordable and thanks for the comment 😊!
Ghana is far peaceful than Rwanda, come to Ghana
@@jeffreykofikarikari762 I've been to Ghana twice but I also want to experience Rwanda and Uganda.
@@jeffreykofikarikari762 Rwanda is now peaceful.
The third house was really nice and spacious.
Great information
Glad you think so!
Beautiful homes
I love the homes but wish they would leave more green space to grow a vegetable garden.
@Olga Williams -More greenspace means more mosquitos and thanks for the comment 😊!
One thing African and Caribbean folks gonna do is paint the walls some garish colors.
What is 2025? You mention some numbers a few times but I have no idea what it represents. Your videos are super informative thank you.
I live in Northern California. That first apartment would cost $10,000 plus a month. The streets are noisy too and it still will cost $10,000 a month.
Thanks for that comment @Sonja Session, appreciate it 😉!
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you very much..
You are welcome! Thanks for the comment.
Thank you for this video.
What are the rural areas like over there?
Roads, housing standards, nature, cost, yard space, etc.
@Tyson Blaik -We always suggest coming to take a look and thanks for the comment 😊!
I plan to go to Gahanna for a month, I would like to know about monthly renting.
@phillip mason -Reach out to James to see what he can do and thanks for the comment 😊!
Tony & Ayo , the two of you have really out-done yourselves this time. I loved all of the three properties & they were fantastic . I don't like the term boys quarters , men's quarters is more appropriate . I know this is a term left over from the colonizers . Keep showing wonderful properties. By the way , are all of these properties negotiable & what is the rental cost for the separate men's quarters ?
Beautiful houses for rent,I could rent a whole compound in Ghana if i moved there we're a family of 5.
God bless always
Thanks so much for that @Dee Dee Bak, really appreciate it 😉!
The place is beautiful.
Wow ,last house love it I pay 1600 for a two bedroom apartment
@Sparkling 2Sweet - There are some great deals here and thanks for the comment 😊!
I'll be in Ghana in 2 weeks, and I really love that last house! How many bedrooms and bathrooms does it have? I think I missed that part.
I think the reason the prices dropped in Tema is because of the water issue. The non flow is terrible! My husband and I decided against Tema to build because of this very issue.
So large and beautiful
Thank you for your comment! ❤️️👍😊
The landlord of the first house likes color riot
@No BS - LOL, you can say that again and thanks for the comment 😊!
Beautiful houses and spacious, thank you so much!❤️🇬🇭🇬🇭
Thank you too!
Useful information but the places looked old. Last week did not look well kept.
@Tina Williams -They don't fix the houses up unto there is a renter for it. Looking at houses here to rent you need imagination on what it looks like fixed up and thanks for the comment 😊!
@@ExpatLifeGhana good to know. I am planning to come in 2023 for a month. Are there accommodations you would recommend with WIFI . I know WIFI is somewhat unpredictable what do you suggest to decrease the risk. I teach online.
ghana is expensive. thse apartments in nigeria would be like 300 dollars a month
@ANTARES ATLANTIS - There is a price to be paid being listed the 2nd safest country to live in Africa and thanks for the comment 😊!
That is because Nigeria don't have Electricity.
Nice, but who painted, Crayola? Geesh
Nice houses. I'm in Tema 25. It is a beautiful neighborhood, but it's too far from everything I do. I'm looking to move to Legon. Sorry Guys! 🤣
Some things you should consider. The windows of some houses were atypical of the standard model (good). Many Ghanaians have gates on the windows. They look like very unattractive. Are there alternatives to those gates?
@Bb Winans - The alternative is someone breaking into your house easily and thanks for the comment 😊!
I pay $1,100 a month for a studio apartment with a broken heater on Long Island NY.
The last House you showed for 1000 with the spiral staircase and immaculate kitchen had me upset...
Thanks Tony and Ayo. Hopefully I will make it there one day.
@Dhaat Dhood -Feel you one the kitchen but you look past that when you look at the price and thanks for the comment 😊!
Huge home
Too many *stairs* in that last home...
🤣🤣
@S G - Stairs separate the kids and their noise from us quiet parents and thanks for the comment 😊!
The locations are brilliant. The houses are a little dated to command the $1k pcm. $600 is reasonable.
@fritz tanba -Not only are these houses reasonably priced, they are on the low side right now because holiday has passed and money is low. Always remember location, location, location and thanks for the comment 😊!
I may sound unknowledgeable but what’s with the barbed wire and large gated areas? Is that to keep animals or people out? Don’t get me wrong I saw that in Mexico too.
Hi has anyone heard of estate masters limited in tema and whether they are the real deal as they appear so, but looks can be deceiving
❤
Thank you for your comment! ❤️️👍😊
on timestamp 2.35. Stated $1300/mth, but yet you said it was $1300 per year on video. Please clarify.
@debra sinclair -Appreciate you bringing that to our attention. It is per month as seen on screen at the time. We will have to do a quick edit of that and thanks for the comment 😊!
Pls Tony I want you to help me show my 2 semi detached house..Pls how can I get in contact with you.I have been a subscriber to you
How about 2 or 3 bed room houses for sale ?
@Victoria Davies -Give James a call and thanks for the comment 😊!
One bedroom in VA cost more than the 4 bedroom house in Ghana
Thank you for your comment! ❤️️👍😊
Location. 🤷🏾♀️
Is open concept common in Tama?
@Altimese Nichole -It really varies and thanks for the comment 😊!
Hi Tony and Ayo, Am Frank and my wife Dina wants two 3 bedrooms apartments rented, please how can I contact you
@Frank Amoh - Contact James, his info is in the show notes and thanks for the comment 😊!
Eh the real estate can also be a full time security guy 😂😂😂
Big guy but like teddy bear.....l like that!!!
@Samuel Kyei - Love that! Thanks for the comment ❤️️🇬🇭❤️️.
Hello and thank you, what is a boys quarters. Were they for sell or only rent
@Belinda Rideout Clark -Boys quarters is where the house help stays. These places were for rent and thanks for the comment 😊!
@@ExpatLifeGhana Thank you for the video. We have been having conversations of coming to Africa and had been focused on the Gambia so thank you for showing us your area
But who can afford an entire years rent at once?
@Ladybugg - Planning and saving is how they do it here and thanks for the comment 😊!
Nice houses for the money, but razor wire on the walls, bars on the windows and interior security gates at the doors . Sounds like you there’s a serious crime problem. I’ll have to sleep with one eye open😳
Deposit?
@Tord Davis - The year in advance is the deposit and thanks for the comment 😊!
Thank you! I’m considering buying land and building w/ solar power and garden. Any info would be highly appreciated.
Tony the phase boys quarters is a colonial term and redundant
@Rodney Nichole - When they stop using it here so will I and thanks for the comment 😊!
Tony how about adult quarters to make a linguistic difference... just saying...u escaped the racist environment and narrative in USA and you have the opportunity to speak differently and show the way...not a case of being of when in Rome do as the Romans do.... It dimishes your reasons for leaving USA ....just saying
@@rodneynichole4785 I agree with Tony on that. When Ghanaians are using the term they probably don't overthink it; it's just the name they use. For equivalence, it might be like someone coming to the US and calling the toilet (as we say in the UK 🇬🇧) the poo(p) room, because that's what it's used for. It might be correct, but it'd be weird and every time you said it, it would disrupt the flow of conversation as people aren't used to it.
Language is a communication tool: ie, between at least two people. You can't just unilaterally decide to change elements of it! Even less so when it's not your language you're seeking to change.
Finally, always remember that things (especially racial things) we're sensitive about in the west, probably pass them by in African countries because there, they're not black, they're people. They have the surety of the fact that all around them, people who look like them are running EVERYTHING successfully. They don't have to worry their heads about such sensitivities as they prove to themselves 24/7/365 that they aren't 'LESS THAN'.
My view, anyway. 🤷🏾♀️
Good to be aware of the unfortunate heritage of that phrase....just saying...I am Ghanaian
With this Prices I might as well stay in the US. Ghana is not America tell this realtors...Prices cant be high just because???????????????? This is a Scam to me...
@andy asubonteng - What is confusing you is thinking the US is better than Ghana. The prices are high for a reason and thanks for the comment 😊!
Why burglar bars on all the properties?
ghana is not a police state like usa. you provide your own security
I had visited Ghana in '91, for 48 hours; my sister needed a visa to Canada and there was no consulate in Togo.
*
@ANTARES ATLANTIS "ghana is not a police state like usa..."
re.:
krɔa, krɔa, kroa o
well, we hope not, unlike in neighboring ... never mind
See my comment. I really do like those gates. Ghanaians are (too?) afraid of robbers. However most friends who have been robbed
...we robbed by people they knew or knew them via mutual acquaintances.
@Tina Williams - Self explanatory... You will find the same ones on south side of Houston and thanks for the comment 😊!
The first house is kinda ugly too much color
I’m moving!!!🥲
@orenthia trammell -Well come on and thanks for the comment 😊!
