- For real though, you think you're going good hittin' all the apexes when all it takes is some cool cat passing you on the outside like you're doing pit pace to really take the wind out of your sails. Still got so much to learn! This was the last session I recorded that day. Had a blast riding with everyone and I hope to see you guys at the next event Sunday, 10/15/23!
2008 Honda CBR600RR
Dynojet PCV with custom fuel map and spark correction
Quickshifter w/ gear dependent kill times
Toce Exhaust w/ cat delete
15/42 sprocket configuration (-1 front from stock). Speedo was corrected.
Filmed using an Insta360 X3
Onboard telemetry was compiled using Telemetry Overlay and Race Render
Nice riding. I love that track!
Another sunday ride in the park. Wowee!
How exciting that must be to be in a race!!! Very cool!😆
It's just a track day, not an actual race but some people definitely are competitive like it's one 🤣
@@alixvandurand Hahaha I bet they do! I know I would😂
@@maryjaneburrough6905 I never knew you were the competitive type 🤣
@@alixvandurand I have my moments🤣
you've come a long way! I passed ya at the 9:19 mark, mike the instructor. I was helping the guy on the green bike who passed you out of 5.
Apex means nothing if you're not on the gas ands you are low on rpms. You carried that long turn at 76MPH when you could have been accelerating the entire time full throttle. Side of tire has the best traction, give it beans.
good pace....
Why are you shifting into 6th gear on this track... need to get use to staying high in rpms. Thats was caused you to get passed like that at turn 5
I know right. She's my baby, it's hard to get used to revving that high xD It's like a constant battle between should I push it 100% or just go fast and preserve my engine but you're absolutely right, should be 2nd-5th on this track. Are you going to the next one in mid-Oct?
@alixvandurand It took me a lil bit to get use to also. And yessir I'll be there Saturday the 14th
@@CenaJ675r Hell yeah, ride safe man! I'll be there the 15th. Funny enough, I clicked one of your vids (Novice 3rd session 8-13) and I'm literally the dude sitting right next to you at the beginning of the video haha!
how did you get the heart rate added to telemetry?
I have a chest monitor that connects with Bluetooth to phone, I use the Wahoo app to record a workout. Once I'm done, I can export the .fit file to email where I import it into Telemetry Overlay. Pick the guage, select the file and sync timestamps :)
ua-cam.com/video/mwCsjrHwrUM/v-deo.htmlsi=NHEB-CP5m2bH33Qx. Here is my Barber video from this past weekend, I couldn't figure out the telemetry thing for the video. I'll try again next video.
@@jeffjackson8686 great video! If you need any help getting the Telemetry to work, I'd be happy to walk you through it
Yes, do you have a video tutorial you used?
@@jeffjackson8686 A few different ones as far as how to use the different applications like RaceRender, Telemetry Overlay and Davinci Resolve, etc. but honestly most of it I had to figure out myself cause there were no tutorials on it. I'm actually planning to do a video or series of showing how I do it.
You’re an intermediate and you think you’re fast?
Oh hellll no. I'm not fast at all. The title was a joke (hence the turtle emojis) xD
@@alixvandurand I was just teasing. Good vid.
@@daytonasayswhat9333 I just rode with advanced for the first time last Sunday and holy shit did I realize how slow I really am hahaha do you ride at barber?
@@alixvandurand congrats on the move up. That’s a big step.
Yeah, I was there as well. Worked on the bike a lot but got some decent laps in. Great day.
@@daytonasayswhat9333 that was my day basically. I rode the first two sessions and had a blast, almost yeeted myself at turn 17 trying to follow one of those Junior Cup Series kids (coming in the next video S2). Then in session 3 my bike basically was trying to drive itself like the throttle was stuck open. Tires were completely gone too. Had to call it a day. Going back June 2nd, will you be there?
50s are 20 secs off fast and 30s are 10 off pro.....
My last track day I was in the mid-40s which I felt was pretty fast but obviously not when comparing pro times xD sadly, that footage was corrupted somehow or didn't record. I imagine you've done a fair few at Barber as well?
@@alixvandurand - 40's you are going pretty well without taking much risk. When you drop into the 30's you got to be hitting everything just right or ......
