This was a very informative video ! Demonstrative technique was way more easier to learn from than other videos that just talk and show a result. I love this style!
Finally somebody that knows how to explain! You answered every single question that I was thinking. Thanks a lot
you are one of the best pics of product photography that I have seen in UA-cam

Your way of explaining is very good. thank you so much 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great photo, great tutorial! Another one I will need to try! Thanks for making these one light videos.
Glad you like them! Thanks Todd
Hey thanks for the upload. I’m an amateur photographer with heart. And I’m always looking to broaden my experimental horizon. There are so many little tricks & tips that really make the whole experience much easier. You should see me, stressing over the simple things, desperately trying in vain with maybe two of the five things required for a decent shot. Like, ok, maybe the 105th time will work without adjusting a single thing. Is that the definition of insanity? Lol. And thanks for going into the details as it’s the little things that together really add up nicely.
Awesome step by step guide 👌🏽🙏🏽
Another very helpful video, really like your product photography videos and all the various lighting techniques.
Great to hear!
You are awesome!!! I followed along and made something cooler than I've ever done. Thank You.
Very informative video, I will try that soon. Thanks and a good 2023! Volker
Happy new year Volker!
Extremely useful! Thank you for your video
Great instruction, keep it going!
Thanks, will do!
Hi Skyler, as painting still lifes in oil paint is a major part of what I do, and such still lifes are setup and photoed by me, your video on photographing over-lapping glasses, will be used by me. It is a fascinating subject and thank you for posting. Regards Joe
Awesome tutorial! Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Hi, I love the video but I'm a bit confused. Where is your 1 light? I ask before it looks to me like you don't have the softbox light on that you placed behind the wine glass. So where is the 1 light source? I'm learning how to do my own product photograpy for my store. Thankyou.
Great tips, and thanks for posting links to your equipment. Do you ever do jewelry photography? I’d love to see your methodology!
Beautifully demonstrated.
Informative I did learn a new thing ✨
As always you are on the mark, thank you Skyler.. Nice

What lights do you use and do you need to turn off the lights in the whole room when taking photos?
Very elegant photo. I do like the black background look as well though so I'm curious what your technique would be for shooting glass or a transparent/reflective objects on a black background. Thanks!
Good idea! I will make a tutorial on that next
@@skylerewingphotography That would be awesome!
Hi - can I ask - is that a 90mm macro or just a normal 90mm you use?
I need to get a white or clear acrylic piece. I have black acrylic and tried this with a martini glass last night and was getting a horrible black reflection. I tried type of glass as well and may have gotten something that will work out of those images, need to edit still. Will be trying this one again. And now that I am watching the video again I need to try to move my light closer and I could try the glass balancing trick as well but that scares me...
Yes, white acrylic will help a lot
And if you are using a backdrop? Would you do it back and from the side? So curious. This was a great video.
Thank you Shannon. If you are using a backdrop move the background about 6 feet behind the subject. Use one light in between subject and background low so you cant see it and aim up at background. the other light could be same place aiming at glasses or a bit to the side but still begind. If you have a strong enough light you only need one in between table and background aiming at background. Light will bounce back into glass
damn, your good and practical.
Do these techniques work for continuous
Ishtar? I don’t have a flash. Thanks!
Yes it does!
Thank you, Skyler. I like the syringe trick.👍
You’re welcome 😊
I don’t understand the black frame??
Ok, this is good for glasses, but not for sunglasses ....
