Lovely chub! Great videos, too, and I subscribed recently after discovering your channel. I’ve only been with FAS for one season and hoping to try the Loddon for the first time in the near future - your content has been really helpful, even if this particular one is a good few years old now! Many thanks and tight lines 🎣🐟
Hi John, Sorry for the late reply, I'm glad its been helpful to you. It was an old video and unfortunately FAS don't run this particular stretch of water now. Im of FB, message me and i can give you more up to date info on this stretch of water. Regards Dave.
Thanks for the advice! We have just uploaded our most recent video all about 'chasing chub' and catching some surprises along the way. You'll see in the video that your tips went a long way to improving my fishing! Thanks again
Well done on the cracking 5+ chub at the end... Love it when a plan comes together and plugging away with the chub does tend to pay off... Look forward to seeing more vids! Tom
Thanks Tom, I must admit that it wasn't one of my easiest days however I was really happy with the chub and the whole day was a good experience. That's why we love going fishing, not sure about my next blog? could be pike or roach on the Test?
Dave Tarrant I really enjoy watching other people fish asmuch as i love it :) dont let anyone stop you from creating such good content i can tell you put alot of effort in
Cracking Chub Dave, i had two 5's one after the other back in November on the Loddon.... trouble was i was fishing for Roach ! Great videos mate keep 'em coming loving them !
+Dave Tarrant I had a couple, nothing huge. Nice day though. Only the second time I've fished that bit: must say it looks a lot more attractive (fishing wise) at this time of the year, although the amount of butterflies I saw there in the summer was a sight to behold!
hi,Dave ,enjoyed your video, just getting back into fishing, but how weird is that,i use to fish just by the bridge there where the George and dragon pub is back in 1972'ish,i caught2 jack pike on the same day on a single maggot (not at the same time!),jst brought back some good memoreys, nice stretch of river all the way to Aborfield and past, thanks, mark
when we put a small perch on as live bait for pike i caught a chub that would fit that in it mouth beautiful lost its silver into a bronze sheen fit my whole hand down its neck to its teeth to unhook it
Hi GB fishing, the river loddon has some great barbel fishing. Farnham angling is a great value for money club and has a few stretches of the river loddon with fish to 15lb + good luck buddy let me know how you get on. Thanks for watching my videos. 👍🐟🐟🐟🎣
Hi Lee, I use a 12ft TFG specialist quiver rod. They don't make them any more unfortunately, but u can pick them up 2nd hand eBay for about £100.. it is my favourite rod and I tend to use it for my chub and perch fishing.
Hi Neil, I tend to use a 12 foot medium quiver rod with a 2 oz quiver tip whilst fishing a simple link ledger end tackle. Good look buddy in getting back to the rivers.
