Love it Mark. Great video. Well done, and thank you for the wise words of motivation. I had 5 barbs early season but can't buy a bite now. But you have inspired me to get back down there, adjust tactics and stay positive. Many thanks Shaun
Hello Shaun, thanks for the kind words, five barbel is good going and I'm betting those fish you had earlier in the season have really fueled you for an Autumn barbel too. You and Charlie are welcome to join me for a spot of fishing round my neck of the woods when you have time.
Thanks Dom,I don't know where the year has gone either, it will soon be the last quarter of the fishing season, I am looking forward to getting out and doing some predator fishing at some point.
Cheers Rich, the same to yourself my friend, I really enjoyed your recent video, you guys had some cracking chub, perch and that pb barbel, that was a good fishing trip and some.
Thanks Tom, hopefully we can get out after some more chub soon, that would be nice, even more so if you got a pb on one of those trips, I would be chuffed for you.
Nice attitude. You made some good points there. Points I all too often overlook! I rush to set up, have expectations and sometimes write things off before they've even started :S
Thanks mate, I do find having that attitude does help, although at the same time it is a pity that I am not so positive on other subjects in life itself. But that said at the end of the day there is only so much we can do to affect our fishing and there are many other variables that are outside of our remit and sometimes the fish just aren't too forthcoming.
Very sorry for the late reply colin, follow the link below, which shows in detail how I go about preparing the bird seed. www.haiths.com/haiths-baits/red-band-pigeon-conditioner-/
superb video. Mark I'd love to know more about how to make up you birdseed+anacede+? ground bait... if you've got a moment to offer a few more clues on summer barbel ground bait I'd be totally made up by that... .cheers.
You're most welcome, perhaps I should do a video showing the cooking/ steaming process. It is much like how most carp or tench anglers cook their bird seed, do you perhaps have a facebook account?
Hi Carlos: not quite as simple as birdseed it transpires - this is a 5 year old comment, and I've learned lot since then, mainly from watching Mark's videos 😉👍🐟
Great video and two nice Barbel Mark, Had my fair share of blanks this year only had one barbel out after 14 sessions but will persevere, Got some of that pigeon conditioner smells great. Have you used it in Autumn and Winter with any success? Paul.
Hello there Paul and thanks mate, yes I use it throughout the year mate, the only difference being how much I use in winter which is based on the feeding conditions.

Nice one Mark, some good fish in the end.
Thanks mate, it was nice to slip the net under them.
Great video Mark Erdwin. I hate blanks but they always drive up the satisfaction levels when you do get amongst your quarry again.
Absolutely Barry, they help keep you thinking actively and fire you up ten fold when you get things right.
Lovely video Mark, lovely barbel there, well done!

yep, I do have facebook account (recently started one), and I have sent a friend request to you (hope that is the right thing to do), thanks
I suspect it's simply pigeon conditioner from pets at home. Everything in one including aniseed.
