I love that you included your least favorite palette too, most UA-camrs only do favorites! Also thank you for including some versatile palettes too because I'm one of those people who loves color and not just neutrals. You're always thinking of us and are so sweet!
Thank you! I just figured I'm always talking about neutrals all the time, but some of the palettes with more color options are awesome too, and especially if you are only planning to get one palette from the brand, some of the more versatile choices make more sense. :)
Affordable, drugstore AND indie all sound wonderful!! Whichever you choose would be amazing. Love your videos. You consistently put out great ones I love and actually go back to for reference. Thank you for all you do.
Watching Jen feels like watching my mom talk about make up, feels like a warm hug! She has the kindest eyes and the warmest smile I can watch her all day ❤
Jen, you should do an eyeshadow collab with blush and lip color with a brand and call it My Cup of Tea, with a tea theme and a cute china patterned packaging. I could see you doing that. It would be so fun. 🌹
This was nice to watch and I enjoyed your different selections. I would really like to see a Drugstore version of this type of video. The Urban Decay Born to Run is one of my favorite, probably top favorite from all their palettes. I had a bad taste after using their Gwen Stefani palette, so I wasn't checking for them. But when I bought this about 2 years ago...I fell in love. I love The Jackie Aina palette. I also like the Tartelette(?) In Bloom palette a lot.
I am on a NO buy, and just got into eyeshadow, big time, in the last two years. My favorite pallet from tarte is the Love, Trust and Fairy Dust. I even bought a backup, because I love it that much. I love the Huda Nude Light but talked myself out if Mercury retrograde because I already have Sapphire, Amethyst and get The Nudes pallet. I do love the Jackie Aina pallet the most of the ABH, but have to dip into others for transition shades, but I do understand, because it was made for deeper skin tones. My favorite Too Faced is the Born this Way pallet. The only Chocolate one I have is the Bon Bobs, which I still like because I love cool tones. Great Video idea!
I love your vids so much. You’re so humble and graceful, and you are honest about products and how they perform. Plus your voice is so calming to listen to. Thank you for making content for us. Hope your son and loved ones are safe. Xoxo
Plus the lightning is always fantastic so the swatches and everything shown are of excellent quality. Btw, today you look like from a Boticelli painting.
I just purchased the Naked Honey palette on your (and one other) review. It is GORGEOUS. I have the Honey Pot Palette, which does have exclusive colors, and is lovely on me; I am just about having a larger palette for the golden/ honey colors.
Could you do a version of this for drugstore/affordable brands? I'm always looking at your recommendations before making purchases. Thank you! ❤ also, a video of best makeup products for fair/light skin tones would be wonderful 😊❤ Just some ideas, keep being you!
Hi! Thanks for doing a comprehensive review of actual palettes in their entirety, and for offering to do more videos of your other palettes across other price and distribution points. It seems like some YT reviewers don’t feel comfortable talking about drugstore or indie products, maybe because they’re trying to build or protect their own brand(s), and for some reason that seems to requires that they only align themselves publicly on their review channels with a few corporate entities or very very expensively bankrolled rock star beauty gurus. I’ve loved your down-to-earth style since I saw you last winter talking about buying Hard Candy palettes at Wal-Mart (my boyfriend lives in the Texas hill country just an hour and a half from where I am in the middle of the big city, so we used to have our biweekly “commutes”’ until this stupid Covid Virus left me suddenly stranded in town and him out there and now I have my cherished Hard Candy palette souvenirs along with my new batches of Huda jewels (I love color! I’m obsessed) and Milani palettes and lipsticks (I get those from Instacart-I’m sooo in love with the entire line). I get to see my BF again soon, so I hope the new Hard Candy spring goodies are coming for spring! Thanks again for getting me back into them after all this time!!❤️❤️. And if your Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette ever needs a new forever home, I might know a place where it would be especially treasured by a makeup mommy who has an inordinate affection for all pink eyeshadow shades 😉💕.
Thank you so much Lauren! I started out blogging about drugstore products so that's where my heart is. I hope you get to see your boyfriend soon! My husband and I had a two hour commute the first few years we were dating and only saw each other on weekends. It wasn't easy but with all the stuff going on now it has to be so hard. 💕🤗
It’s tough but we’re managing. There have been a couple of “F it-I’m coming over there NOW” moments, but the other person has always been able to talk the impatient one off the ledge. My birthday is in a couple of weeks (and it’s a big one-it has a zero in it), so we’re going to be together by then. Hopefully right after Mother’s Day! Everything is sweetened a little because we have some more or less found money from the government, so I will be buying some makeup and some other goodies too. Birthdays don’t freak me out; I’m always just grateful that I made it another year with the friends and family who made it along with me, especially since we lost a few. It makes the time we have that much more precious, you know?
This is great, watching your videos has me going through my collection and re using older palettes that have been pushed to the back of my drawer. I moved to the front the UD Born to Run, the TF Chocolate Gold, and the ABH Riviera, trying to go more Spring Summer and do more bright looks while I'm home.
Wow you look gorgeous! I can't pinpoint what it is - perhaps it's the colours, but your hair is stunning too. I would love to see an Indie version of this video ❤️
Lol I’ve been wearing the ABH Prism so much this past summer. It’s basically a neutral, jewel tone palette. It’s more wearable than you think. I did a soft halo eye this summer with unity and sphere. Nothing too crazy but made me fall in love with that palette again!
Loved this video Jen! I love watching yours because you are so thorough and always give us swatches, I am addicted to swatches! Thank you for another great video! Stay safe and healthy!
Thank you so much! I was actually considering not doing swatches because it seemed like sooo much work to swatch all of those palettes but knowing that it was helpful makes it all worth it! 😊❤️
@@JenPhelps thanks for always doing swatches for us Jen... Thank you for working so hard to show us the swatches abd sharing ur views on them💕 stay safe and healthy 🙏
Yes, to the drugstore version! I love these videos! The Too Faced Chocolate Gold is very similar to the Tarte Remix palette. I love the Remix palette and I can be scent sensitive but I don't have an issue with Tarte formula.
Would you mind maybe doing a swatch comparison between the ND gold palette and the UD honey palette? I can’t believe how similar the vibes were! This was a fun video!!! Thanks Jenn!
The vibes are similar, but the Natasha Denona formulas are very different. Urban Decay is standard pressed mattes and shimmers; ND is all these crazy creamy mattes, matte to powder and these incredible foiled + glitter.
Thank you so much! Natural lighting is more flattering than the studio lights I think! Plus the yellow walls in my makeup room cause it to look funky shades of yellow/green/red.
This was a fun video! Tartlette in bloom is probably still my favorite palette ever. An oldie but a goodie! I love the favorite/least favorite per brand idea. I think it would be fun to do just brands as a whole favorite/least products. Or maybe random duds from brands you usually love?
I ended up exchanging my ND Love palette for the ND Sunrise palette and I'm so happy that I did.. The Love formula was finicky but I found it created the same look, over and over.
We have a lot of the same we consider the best. I couldn't get into the ND Cherry Palette either. I still plan on buying the ND Honey because it's so beautiful and I swatched it and fell in love. Please do a drugstore version. Thanks Jen. Blessings!
You look gorgeous in this video. Your hair is just perfect and your eyeshadow matches it so well. Your lip color is so cute and summery. Can't wait for the next video! Stay safe.
Ive never been a huge fan of huda beauty eyeshadows. Well the shimmers. They have always seemed hard to pick up with a brush and when I use a wet brush they hard pan badly. The only ones I truly liked are the original obsessions palettes my favorite being smoky obsessions.
I agree about the most versatile TF, ABH and UD palettes, those are also my favorite and only ones I have from those brands, lol, I like to keep my palette collection really small 😉
Loved this. Would also love an indie version. And drugstores version too. Lots of good brands out there. Love your look here. Happy Easter early. Enjoy the holiday!!!
Oh yes, please on the affordable version of this video!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻I love that your videos inspire/remind me to play in the makeup I have. 🥰 I love eyeshadow palettes WAAAAAAAYYYY too much because it’s so much fun to play up my eyes. An Indie brand version of this would would be awesome too.☺️
Another great video! Love seeing your favorites! Love the idea of doing this for drugstore or affordable brands. You content is just so so informative!
I found myself really frustrated with abh prism until I saw this girl on Instagram had depotted and moved all the shades around in the palette and it looked SO much more cohesive and inspiring. I did the same and now I love it way more!
100% agree with the Natural Love as least favorite from TF. I gave it to my kids to use as "play" makeup. I love UD Born to Run. Such a versatile palette. I've almost hit pan in a couple shades. I need to show Naked Honey some love....I've used it once. In the every day makeup drawer it goes in May! Biba is my favorite Natasha Denona palette. It is a neutral lovers dream and the formula is AMAZING. I won't lie....I don't have a ND palette I don't love. The Mercury Retrograde is STUNNING! I had to put mine away or I would reach for it every day. My least favorite is the Emerald obsessions. That palette convinced me I don't like brighter green looks.
Jen I had just rewatched this video for the Sephora sale and I happened to find myself near Winners(Canadian TJMaxx) and found Too Faced Chocolate Bar and the Gold Chocolate Bar palettes. $65 each in Canada and I had wanted them, but couldn’t justify the cost. They were $30 & 35 (the Gold Bar came with a full size primer and mascara)! I’ve wanted them since they launched. I’d remembered your comments at 3:41 and 4:11. I’d thought if I ever find those for a good price, I want to pick them up. Lol- I found both PLUS CColor Feverish, the dupe of ABH Sultry that I’ve had on my wish list since you did those dupes videos. Appreciate you hon! 👍❤️😁
I really enjoyed seeing your favs of the high end Brands and would really enjoy seeing your favorites from the Affordable Brands. Also maybe Dupes for your Favorite High End Brands. I think the Milani palettes in the gold metal packaging would be a Dupe for Tartlette.
Sally Mei I used a cleaned dropper from a skincare bottle to dispense a little rubbing alcohol into each corner of the pan, then used a sewing needle to lift the pan out gently from the corners. you just need to take your time so you don’t accidentally damage the shadow. the alcohol loosens the glue holding the pan in, and doesn’t mess with the shadows if it gets on them. then I just used superglue to fasten the pans back in after. This works on ABH shadows for sure (I rearranged subculture too), but some other brands might be more glued in so YMMV!
I felt the same about the Jackie Aina palette but now it’s my fave! You can you the shade pinker that has just lil sparkles in it as a transition shade if you lightly dip and when you blend it out the sparkles don’t show. You can also use edges if you lightly dip. Since I started using those 2 along with ginger and sometimes supreme, it’s definitely became a fave palette of mine!
New to your channel and I really enjoyed this video! I agreed with almost all of your rankings!!! Also, please indulge me & tell me what lip product(s) you’re wearing...it’s so pretty on you. Thanks❣️❣️
Your favorites from Tarte and Too Faced mirror mine as well. The original Chocolate bar is still my absolute favorite Too Faced palette of all time, with the Chocolate Gold as a close runner up. Tartlette in Bloom still holds true to my favorite palette from Tarte. I find that I haven't tried too many palettes I don't like from my favorite brands. All the holiday releases I've tried from both those brands are definitely my least favorite.
I might be the only person who loves that RoTS formula from Tarte. To be fair I do use a stiffer brush and the couple natural hair brushes I bought before I heard the term cruelty free pick them up really well. I regret not picking up the Sizzle when it was in Sephora. Thanks for the vid as always!
I think you were spot on for many of these palettes. My favorites are also your favorites and I agreed with your dislikes too. I am still on the fence about the born to run palette...I just don't reach for it much.
Fist of all, you look BEAUTIFUL! Your sweater is so complimentary to your skin tone and hair color. Where is that shirt from??? Second, really great job on the entire video from the lighting to your swatches to your thoughts on each brand!! Bravo 👏🏼 I feel the same way about using certain pink toned eyeshadows- Huda’s Mini Nude Light palette is ideal but I never bought the ND Love palette because I am not a fan of reds and those mid toned pink shades (especially in matte and having so many of them). I like the New Nudes Huda palette also because they’re more dusty and muted pink tones. 💗
Jen, have you ever done an “All Star” palette? MandyLea did this awhile back and I loved it!! It’s where you pick your absolute favorite colors from ALL your palettes and put together your best palette that would represent you and your favs. ❤️💕. Some of your favs in this episode are mine as well. I’ll have to try the Urban Decay Honey palette
Wonderful video, I appretiate that you show swatches of the palettes, something that many other youtubers are not including and its kind pf frustrating because I am a very visual person, and the swatches are so so helpful to see as you review the palettes So thank you, please continue to do so. New subscriber
Thank you, Jen! I loved this video, I keep wanting to buy the Huda nude light and the Norvina palette, I have a similar skin tone to yours and those shades would be great to play with. 🙂🙂🙂
The first urban decay palette (honey) is Gorgeous! However, for those who cannot afford that particular palette, try either LA Colors Lemon Drop ($2.50) or Wet n' Wild "Call me Sunshine" ($5 on Amazon). I have both of these and they are super awesome! Best of the 2 are LA Colors, IMHO. They both look amazing on the eyes, very pigmented, and easy to blend. The only complaint I have with Wet n' wild is some of them are hard-panned. Otherwise, its truly a great palette. Both are great dupes for UD. I'm not a yellow person at all and fought my impulses hardcore of not buying it, but I really loved the Wet n' wild version and got it. Then, I noticed Lemon Drop was almost an exact and went for it. I'm like, it's only $2.50, my goodness just get it. So, I did. I'm so glad I did because I love it enough to repurchase it again.
I agree with you on urban decay honey being my favorite, but the naked cherry and Natasha Denona are two of my absolute favorites just because I can only wear so many nudes.
I love your hair this way! It really always looks great, and super healthy... it’s always fun to change up your 💁♀️! And great video as well! Stay safe, and healthy!! Ps, your eyeshadow look is absolutely stunning! (Whole look actually..)lol
Totally agree with tartlette in bloom and I’m a deeper skin tone. Tarte always makes sure they include crease shades that work for EVERYONE which is rare
Love the UD palettes! I need to try the born to run one- it’s so pretty! The naked honey is great though!! Natasha Denona palettes look so pretty! Really want the biba one!
Great video Jen! If you were only interested in the pink part of the new ND retro palette would you say you could get away with buying the Huda nude light instead? Thanks for the content it’s keeping my spirits up in these ‘Times of Uncertainty’ 😀🥰🥰🥰 xxxx
I love that you included your least favorite palette too, most UA-camrs only do favorites! Also thank you for including some versatile palettes too because I'm one of those people who loves color and not just neutrals. You're always thinking of us and are so sweet!

Check out makeup revolution website. They soooooo many different palettes. You would wanna buy then all. And very affordable :)

Use Winky Lux if this comes true! Their packaging is amazing. It would be beautiful 😍❤
Carrie Meadows great idea!
Drugstore version also plz... Also plz do best n worst of blushes, lipsticks and so on... Plzzzz...
Yes and the best of eye primers please.

The Urban Decay Born to Run is one of my favorite, probably top favorite from all their palettes. I had a bad taste after using their Gwen Stefani palette, so I wasn't checking for them. But when I bought this about 2 years ago...I fell in love.

I just purchased the Naked Honey palette on your (and one other) review. It is GORGEOUS. I have the Honey Pot Palette, which does have exclusive colors, and is lovely on me; I am just about having a larger palette for the golden/ honey colors.
Would love to see other versions of this!! Definitely drugstore, and even indie would be cool. You look beautiful in this video btw, very ethereal. 😁

I love ABH Prism, but I had to remove all the pans and rearrange them so they made more sense to me visually!

Very good video ! I will love to see the same with drugstore palettes !!!! Xoxo beauty
New to your channel and I really enjoyed this video! I agreed with almost all of your rankings!!! Also, please indulge me & tell me what lip product(s) you’re wearing...it’s so pretty on you. Thanks❣️❣️
The too faced chocolate bar is my favorite too faced palette, too! The sweet peach and the clover are super close 2nd and 3rd favorites....
I really liked this video!! Yes please do the same video with drugstore, indie & luxury brands. Thank you for your mini reviews! 💙💕💙💕💙💕💙
I would love to see a video of your top five eyeshadow formulas!
Love this tag! U most do it with other brands please: bh. Indie, colourpop, alter ego, etc
Yes! Affordable and indie version please! I loved this! 🙌🏻❤️
Very fun! ❤️ Yes, please do an affordable palette version too! 😁👍🏻
Fist of all, you look BEAUTIFUL! Your sweater is so complimentary to your skin tone and hair color. Where is that shirt from???
Second, really great job on the entire video from the lighting to your swatches to your thoughts on each brand!! Bravo 👏🏼
I feel the same way about using certain pink toned eyeshadows- Huda’s Mini Nude Light palette is ideal but I never bought the ND Love palette because I am not a fan of reds and those mid toned pink shades (especially in matte and having so many of them). I like the New Nudes Huda palette also because they’re more dusty and muted pink tones. 💗
If you don't mind to combine palettes..Soft Glam or Norvina neutrals for your crease and Jackie Aina to spice it up.
Thanks and yes please for an indie version 😀
Jen, have you ever done an “All Star” palette? MandyLea did this awhile back and I loved it!! It’s where you pick your absolute favorite colors from ALL your palettes and put together your best palette that would represent you and your favs. ❤️💕. Some of your favs in this episode are mine as well. I’ll have to try the Urban Decay Honey palette
Wonderful video, I appretiate that you show swatches of the palettes, something that many other youtubers are not including and its kind pf frustrating because I am a very visual person, and the swatches are so so helpful to see as you review the palettes
So thank you, please continue to do so. New subscriber
You are so welcome! I'm glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for subscribing! :)
Please do a drugstore one that would be awesome I’ve been loving your palette videos
Your eye makeup is amazing ❤️❤️
Thank you, Jen! I loved this video, I keep wanting to buy the Huda nude light and the Norvina palette, I have a similar skin tone to yours and those shades would be great to play with. 🙂🙂🙂
Yes please, I’d love to see affordable brands and indie brands/ influencer brands.
Also dupes for higher end palettes if possible.
I loved the moon and star swatches with the Huda palette. ❤🙌
Thank you for this video since it does help to see which are worthvtrying and which are not😍 Woud love to see the drugstore version too 😄
I agree with you on urban decay honey being my favorite, but the naked cherry and Natasha Denona are two of my absolute favorites just because I can only wear so many nudes.
I love your hair this way! It really always looks great, and super healthy... it’s always fun to change up your 💁♀️! And great video as well! Stay safe, and healthy!! Ps, your eyeshadow look is absolutely stunning! (Whole look actually..)lol
Thank you so much! :)
Totally agree with tartlette in bloom and I’m a deeper skin tone. Tarte always makes sure they include crease shades that work for EVERYONE which is rare
Loved this!would love more versions in the series
Your videos are so unique. Your videos showa that you are a very nice person. Thanks
Definitely! I think they're very close with those lighter dusty pinks!
Jen Phelps thank you 😊 xxxx
