Young Royals and maybe The Gentlemen. But will it be the same without McConnaughey, Hunnam, Grant and the rest? Ripley with Andrew Scott and Tom Flynn was missing from this list, I think?
Damsel was, by far, one of the best movies I've seen so far this year. Turned out to be waaay better than you thought it would be. And the dragon's voice is amazing!
Yep, the books are great and the series does it justice (Despite some terrible English accents)..... Just about the only offering worth watching if you have an IQ over 60 ;)
@@DJSimacI just read a review that if your iq is LOWER than that than you might enjoy the movie… something about young attractive actors not talking like doctors but rather young people
@@DJSimac wow u really love trash, there was nothing good in series made by netlfix. yes i agree book is great i have also read. netflix properly butchered it to pieces. go watch the one from tencent, quality may be a bit low, but that did the actual justice.
It isn't actually about time paradoxes and parallel universes. It pretty much works with existing physics, with some as-yet-undiscovered physics thrown in. Hope you enjoy it though!
I thought the classic “Wages of Fear” (1953) could not be topped but the recently departed William Friedkin topped it with “Sorcerer” (1977). Both are top notch thrillers. Great score for “Sorcerer” by Tangerine Dream.
3 body is one of my favorite series ever written in any genre, it's the ultimate series to leave you with new outlooks and/or mini-existential crises to ponder after almost every reading session. That said, the only real critique I could give is that outside a few main ones, the characters can seem kinda shallow at times. It's very much a conceptual and setting focused series, so I get it and its much less of a problem than it might be otherwise, but its also one of the few things an Epic TV(ish) series could expand upon and fill out The showrunners were fantastic until they had to build out their own material on GoT, but that's not an issue here; they're free to run wild solely on what they do best, and so im actually fr pretty optimistic this time
Netflix’s “3 Body Problem” with all episodes dropping on the Spring Equinox! The Chinese TV version “Three-Body” (CCTV 2023) was pretty good but long at 23 hours.
Damsel was AWESOME! totally unexpexted although the director lets you see "something's going on" through everybody's attitude. Very entertaining, I loved the heroine!
Different strokes for different folks, as this is one of the worse movies I ever seen. They now call me lefteye because this movie caused me to gouge one of my eyes out.
@3:22 I just read last night where the knight rode into the fortress on fire and managed to scream "DEHYDRATE" before the grease started running from his burning suit of armor.. so it seems they did not stray far from the body of the book. :) And to answer the question the "3 Body Problem" of course.
I already watched the 3 Body Problem. I generally don't watch alien movies, but I saw John Bradley was on it, and I immediately gave it a go. I was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the cast and I was engaged from the first scene on. I'm looking forward to the next season
I would love to have mother watch of the film ‘Millenium’ with Cheryl Ladd and the guy who played Chief Brodie in Jaws. It was a film with an interesting concept, but can’t seem to find it anywhere nowadays 😢
After watching the fantastic Chinese 2023 adaptation of 3 body problem it will be interesting to see the Netflix take on the book. Hopefully as good to better and stays true to the author.
@@TamaresqueI saw mine on youtube, Can't remember the channel I think is Tencent something, heard they only have ep1 and 2 free now the other are close off at the moment.
3 Body Problem is an ambitious undertaking. Looking forward to it with mixed emotions. Much llike Stanley Kubrick's treatement of The Shining, the movie, while exceptional, must inevitably have vast differences (for better or worse) with the author's original. I'll be watching!
Not surprising to see there really isn't anything to justify returning to Netflix. I made the mistake of re-subbing for one month to see Rebel Moon and that turned out to be absolute garbage. The only things I see with promise are Damsel and 3 Body Problem. Unfortunately, the way they building up Damsel, I'm worried it will be a major let down like Rebel Moon. Netflix promoted Rebel Moon as being among the best sci-fi to be made and it turned out to be a B movie with horrible acting and stolen elements from other sci-fi/fantasy franchises. I have yet to see a Chinese production on Netflix that has been good, so I kind of expect 3 Body Problem won't be worth it either. Netflix has been on a downhill slide for the last 10 years and they are not even in the same league as Prime, Apple TV, MAX, and even Disney +. Honestly, I think Tubi is better than Netflix and Tubi is free.
Very weak lineup, no reason to subscribe to Netflicks anymore. Movies and series are lame and far and few in between. Not worth the money for along time.
Adam Sandler rules out "Spaceman" for me; he's never made anything decent. "3 Body Problem" sounds interesting, but with D&D behind it that's a huge NO!
6 of us are sitting here trying to decide what C grade movie we would watch in a loop for 24 hours rather than watch 24 seconds of being confined with a big hairy spider, imaginary or not. We all love Sandler (Punch Drunk Love my all time favorite) but a great dane sized arachnid is really asking alot. Sorry Adam but gonna take a pass on this one. Sincerely hope it does well and we still love ya'
Imo Adam Sandler in Spaceman was the best film I've seen him in. The Spider was believable but the spiders mouth freaked me out. I'm looking forward to seeing The Three body problem hopefully this series will cover the three books.
Spaceman was boring and drawn out. I stopped watching halfway through episode 1. Gentlemen is classy, beautiful set and good script. The signal was good - with good actors and a good plot with a surprising ending
Spaceman, science fiction drama about imaginary spider in space and pregnant wife on earth who has serious hormone issues and is pissed off with her astronaut husband, thus recking his head at the exact moment that he is attempting to carry out the most important mission to potentially save all of humanity. Just shows that head wrecker spouses can ruin your life in space just as much as they do on earth. This movie really is immersive and allows you to escape reality if you are actually enjoying your life too much. Thanks Netflix for taking my money again.
Seen Gentlemen, Damsel and 3 Body Problem. Gentlemen is fantastic, Guy Richie directed. 9/10 Damsel was quite bad. 3/10 3 Body Problem was great, good mystery. 8/10
Unfortunately I shall not be watching most of those. Although they may be good movies I’m sick and tied of Netflix putting non English movies or series and then having poor actors overdub them, for me it ruins the film. I have seen The Gentleman, which I would give a 10 out of 10, Guy Ritchie at his best! And the Spaceman, not so sure about that, so for me a 5 out of 10.
Could not finish watching Space Man. #1, I just can't take Adam Sandler seriously. Kept waiting for him to start cracking jokes. #2, there's NO WAY I'd trust a giant, smoothe talking spider. 😱
I'm thinking of giving up my Netflix membership. There comes a pount where repeats and 2nd rate films stop being interesting. The odd watchable thing isn't worth tge subscription
*The thumbnail is 3 Body Problem.
Which movies or series do you plan to watch?
Shilrley. The rest seem to be reworked versions of the same story in one form or another that come out every year.
Young Royals and maybe The Gentlemen. But will it be the same without McConnaughey, Hunnam, Grant and the rest? Ripley with Andrew Scott and Tom Flynn was missing from this list, I think?
Damsel for me.
None

And the dragon's fire effects.... Zomg-Amazzzizzle
Super looking forward to The 3-body Problem! Read the books, and at least the trailers look exciting.
Yes three body problem books were very informative! I really hope they don’t Woke the crap out of them in the movie!
I will definitely wanna watch 3 Body Problem, right up my alley for Netflix viewing
The Three Body Problem without a doubt. I read the books and was blown away love em.

Gentlemen is a good watch.
Lots of callbacks to Snatch and LS&2SB. Built up the story and cast well enough for another season. I hope they do one.
Snatch...best movie ever!
The Gentlemen is superb!!!
Agree, I loved it, very funny
Spaceman, what a waste of time
Spaceman was a pretty damn good movie. Of course there’s a bunch of flaws and things could have been made better but still a 8/10 a must watch
Waste of tym
Was a good movie bud
I liked it, then again I wasn't expecting the normal Adam Sandler movie.
Space man was shit!
Netflix’s “3 Body Problem” with all episodes dropping on the Spring Equinox!

The Furies was amazing .Make sure to give it a watch finished it in 2 days seems they are hoping for a part 2 and I cannot wait for it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very well put together. I appreciate this video ‼️✨

Feels good to see some change in the videos, now i dont have to just scroll it to the movie names and short intro is much better.
Glad to hear. Thanks for the positive feedback.
Damsel was a great watch.
Thunbs up for adding whats coming to UK Netflix 👍
3 Body Problem and The Gentlemen!!
Yup, If The Gentleman is as well written as the film it will be treat
Yes! I'm looking forward to both.
I really wish Netflix would just bring back Sense8
Still nothing worth signing up for... way over priced

THE DIPLOMAT ❤ the best Netflix has produced. I look forward to DIPLOMAT 2. ❤
Thank you for your time and posting. Ya, SciFi month. :) So sad about Lance.
Thanks for the video
Damsel, The Signal, and Spaceman looks cool!!! But most of them really had me hyped!! I can’t wait
Double thumbs up for Damsel. Millie is always a treat.
Looking forward to Shirley Chisholm.
Damsel was excellent. Definitely worth a viewing
Yeah, a Mary Sue defeats a dragon a squad of soldiers couldn't.

“By the team that ran GOT…” this is not an endorsement, but cautionary. I wouldn’t mention it if I wanted people to watch, honestly.
the team that destroyed GOT
Spaceman was a waste of time
Thank you for the heads up. Trailer was whack. And…Adam Sandler?
I thought it pretty good. If you like action then forget it, but if you enjoy a thinking man’s film then this is it
@@threetreasures7698- Have you seen Uncut Gems?
yeah true

What I like about Matthew’s reviews are that he is concise and succinct without the ego and BS from other critics Keep it simple!
Thanks for the support! 🙏
Damsel and I cannot wait
After watching the fantastic Chinese 2023 adaptation of 3 body problem it will be interesting to see the Netflix take on the book. Hopefully as good to better and stays true to the author.
Where did you see the Chinese version? I've just watched the Chinese version of The Wandering Earth. It was pretty good.

Surprisingly, Australia already has the Vikings series. It's unusual that we get releases before the US.
Bunch of SciFi very nice.
Agreed.
Spaceman was not good. Adam Sandler was great tho
I really enjoyed Damsel and The Signal. Gentlemen is okay but by the 6th episode it feels like a soap opera.

Um reading three body problem. Its... Interesting.... Will check out series.
Really looking forward to Damsel with our very own Millie Bobby Brown here in the UK.
Looking forward to it as well.
Same here ...every trailer i see makes it look better
I am too but from the Netherlands
DAMSEL is a good movie
At the end of your video you do the regional releases. How come you didnt mention Mexico?
waiting for the 3 boy problem. This can be the most challenging and exciting one
We enjoyed space man very much

The spaceman was dissapointing ! Damsel was good !
Look forward to Spaceman, Damsel and 3 body problem
Damsel and not just because of MBB, I Love Epic Dark Fantasy regardless! 😎

3 Body Problem sounded great until the Game Of Thrones hackers became involved in it, far from an endorsement in my opinion.
Damsel, 3 Body Problem & My Name is Loh Kiwan ❤

Ok, Boomer.

How did they fit all of the first book from the 3 Body Problem Trilogy into only eight, 1 hour long, episodes?
Dig it!

This seems to be a problem with quality vs quantity. Just because they are releasing more doesn't make it better.
i watch spaceman now. :-) a mybe serious adam sandler film..need to watch it

Imo Adam Sandler in Spaceman was the best film I've seen him in. The Spider was believable but the spiders mouth freaked me out. I'm looking forward to seeing The Three body problem hopefully this series will cover the three books.
