- *NOTE* it may be easier to zero gap the clippers by using the andis mounting plate (the part in my right hand at 06.50 ((without the pin on it here but with the one from the kemei)) in this video I use the kemei mounting plate which works but the andis one is adjustable.

The site I bought the 1971 trimmers doesn’t stock them anymore but they can be bought off a lot of Chinese sites like aliexpress:

Thanks for the info i picked up a Kemi Type Trimmer and put the Andis Slimline Pro LI Blades on it hits real nice a lot cheaper than the Babyliss FX Trimmers i was about to get. I got the Andis blades on sale 18 bucks Win Win

D barber my man look I done the blade swamp and before I seen this video I went and bought a babyliss gold fx cause like you they were hard 2 o gap and just won't that sharp so I did a head to head beard challenge it couldn't beat the fx in sharpness but man its was close that's 40 vs 170 thanks man I got to good one's now

Where do you order the andis blade?
I am trying to figure out what's goin on with those kemei.. could you possibly help me by telling me the distance on the body of the clipper between the holes that the bottom blade mounts? I want to know if they are all the same. I have the budha one with the wahl style T blade and I would like to swap it with an ebay andis style china one maybe.

I'm surprised you didnt have to shave anything off the mounts like in all the other videos . This is amazing! Thank you so much for this. I wish I had seen this earlier before I bought the Gtx blade which requires shaving out some plastic.
I did the same thing, but still satisfied even though this swap looks a lot more natural
I did have to add some washers when I just switched the blades. If anyone has trouble with the blade not tightening down, you can get the smallest washers you see at home depot. Only costs a dollar or two. Helps secure everything nicely but a pain to work with those little things in so little space

My cutting blade still moves around somewhat easily is there a way to fix that because it's screwed in very tightly

Nice video, I got this trimmer but I didn't get the kemei brand. I got the surker brand. I bought andis slimline pro blades. I just hope I can fit mine. I definitely like the Andi's blades for close cutting.

I noticed that the way the motor rotates on my kemei it slightly raises the blade on the left side so whenever i use it to cut hair i have to raise that side of the blade so it doesnt cut into my skin. Does your kemei do that? And if so how do you fix it?
Can i use the wahl blades for the mod insted of the andis blades
Interesting I replaced the head without changing anything and it worked fine

I used Andis Replacement Blade 32105 but i recently did your mod and they seem to hit a little harder
The outliner mod works on them too

Is this worth it or is it better to just spend a little more and buy the slimline pro ? Is it cut as good ? And is it easier to replace ?
Quick question Does that slim line pro link u provided does it come with top and bottom blade picture only shows top blade
I’m not 100% as I bought the whole head but from recent experience you are better buying the whole head mechanism and trying it out on the body first as sometime (with luck) it will work perfectly, if not then you can take it apart and follow the video 👍🏼

But the link for buying de andis blade is just one blade right? Where do I get the front blade? Or is it included?
If you know a good supply place try and get the whole mechanism head and screw it on to the kemei body. Then if that doesn’t work (as there’s lots of variations of what kemei send) take it apart like the video and use a combination of parts 👍🏼

Great tutorial nice and simple, I got these a while back to use at home, and the blades that come with them seem to pinch a little and guard is too sharp on th edge of it and causes thin scratches.. so will have to change to andis head..again thankyou very much,its super helpful!!!stay safe bud!
Reason why andis cut finer is because it's tinner it easier to break also other blade don't cut that tin because they're thicker and harder to break

Mate i ordered like a k9 trimmer looks similar to the kemei 1971 but with a battery life indicator.. my only question does the housing body of the 1971 have a slight play.. does it move? These ones i have do so just wanted to knw if the version i have are defective.
Where abouts is it moving I will check mine?
@@dbarbers5180 when u hold the trimmer with one hand and hold the head bracket with the other hand there is movement in the housing like something is loose inside. Ive returned mine and reordered to see if the other one is the same

@@dbarbers5180 recieved the new ones and theres no movement in the housing.. problem solved but they feel like they have less power than the previous ones. I think getting these chinese branded trimmers is like doing the lottery.. some good and some bad.. now gna try your modification and see if it hits any better. thanks a bunch mate.

Noel Taylor hey man no they don’t come out zero gapped which means you have to loosed the two screws inside the blade and push the cutting blade towards the edge of the top blade! I just bought the new improved thicker body version of these kemeis and the andis head just popped right on!

How much better is the andis trimmer blades versus stock??? Is it worth it??
So much worth it! To be honest I couldn’t really use the stock ones after a while just not sharp and not good at taking bulk at all
I did this but I feel the ceramic blade does a better cut than the Andis cutting blade..

The gold screws wouldn't screw into the andis plate leaving the blade very loose. I had to use the surker plate instead.
This happened a few people now, some of the detailers seem to have slight variations
