    Thanks for the review 360Jeezy! It helped me decide to get one of these bad boys after watching it. Fast forward 6 months after dropping and braking the blade like a dumb dumb I ordered new blades. The thing is I received "comfort edge" blades. What the hell?! Do the comfort edge blades cut as close as the originals? Google let me down finding an answer and I figure if someone can answer this question, is you. Much respect 360Jeezy. Keep inspiring people!

    Love the new Intro/Outro. Music track was nice too. Solid display footage when you were showing the box and it's contents. I see you had a lot of abrupt cuts during the live talk (talking heads). One way the big producers get around this is to shoot extra footage during the session, (B Roll Footage) and then cut to that footage momentarily to mask or hide cuts between the retakes. It helps though when the B roll footage fits the subject and is helping to illustrate your point.
    Nice vid though, I always make sure I peep ALL of your reviews.

    Thank you so much 360jeezy for all your awesome videos! My 13 yr old son and I watch them frequently. I've been cutting my hair for years, and I'm ready for the next step up from the over the counter options. I'm willing to spend but don't want to totally break the bank. Can you please recommend your top corded and cordless trimmers and clippers? If there is one that is amazing at both trimming and clipping (corded or cordless), I'm willing to consider it as well. To the 360jeezy fans; I welcome ur comments too! Thank you all!

    Nice review. Be careful with the way you charge it though. Throwing it on the charger in between cuts is going to kill the battery life. Lithium ion batteries are supposed to be charged fully, used fully and then charged fully again. Just an FYI.

    • @juno1597
      @juno1597 7 років тому +29

      Lithium ion life expectancy is measured on by complete charge cycles ( usually 500 complete charge cycles ). It doesn't matter if charge it everyday @ 75% or 0%, you'll get 500 complete charge cycles out of the battery before you begin to experience substantial batter degradation. It's a myth that charging a Lithium ion battery without depleting it, will cause battery degradation.

    • @juno1597
      @juno1597 7 років тому +2

      can you provide examples of lithium ion batteries exploding not due to a failure in the over charge protection mechanisms? Can you provide examples of lithium ion barber shop tools exploding?
      "Over charge protection is a myth as well." this is a strong statement, so I'm guessing you also believe that surge protection is a myth also? what about Over-Current Protection? You do realize there's a lot of physical mechanisms and planning that goes into preventing things like that from happening? these protections are only a few of many.

    • @juno1597
      @juno1597 7 років тому

      where are you getting this ~40mA's from?
      you do realize that the device is pulling power though the charger right? not that the charger is pushing power to the device. The device has a great deal of control of how and when it receives power.
      Battery-Charging Requirements
      Single-Cell Lithium Ion and Lithium Polymer
      Present-day lithium chemistries are typically 4.1V to 4.2V when the cells are charged to their maximum-rated capacity. Newer, higher capacity cells are being marketed with voltages in the 4.3V to 4.4V range. Typical prismatic lithium ion (Li+) and lithium polymer (Li-Poly) have capacities of 600mAh to 1400mAh.
      The preferred charge profile for both Li+ and Li-Poly cells is to start the charge with a constant charge current until the cell voltage reaches the rated voltage. When this occurs, the charger then regulates the voltage across the cell. These two regulation states are called constant-current (CC) and constant-voltage (CV) charging; therefore, this type of charger is usually referred to as a CCCV charger. When the CCCV charger is in CV mode, the current into the cell begins to drop. For typical charge rates, between 0.5C and 1.5C, the transition between CC and CV mode occurs when the cell has accepted about 80% to 90% of its full-charge capacity. Once the charger is in CV charging mode, it then monitors the cell current; when it reaches a low threshold (milliamps or tens of milliamps), the charger terminates charge.
      Depending on the device spec it can either terminate the charge or it can lower the amps to a threshold, where the device is using as much power as it's receiving, you're not lowering your batteries longevity by leaving it on a charger, if the battery kept receiving power without depleting any it would become unstable and explode or burst.
      If you want to know what hurts the longevity of a lithium ion batter, is if the battery is taking on heat that is out of spec. Like if you were charging your batter with it being wrapped in clothing or if the device is poorly ventilated while it's being charge. The 500 cycles is intended for normal in spec use which includes leaving it on a charger.

    I've generally learned to steer clear of all wireless clippers/trimmers. They're always great at first with a fresh battery, but it doesnt matter the battery type or how well you follow the charging directions, over time the internal battery ALWAYS holds less and less of a charge.
    Just a random thought, anybody else have the same experience?

    I use the Conair Super Stubble trimmer to maintain 0.4-0.6mm stubble and cartridge razor for precise cheek and neck lineups. I can also flip the guide combo back to cut just below 0.4mm for quick lineups. The Conair trimmer is just ok, but looking for something more precise and more powerful.
    Can you use this trimmer for maintaining short stubble and lineups?

    Can the Andis slimline pro lithium ion trimmer be used solely as a stubble trimmer? What is the length of cut out of the box? Can they be gapped at 0.2-0.4mm? I’ve used a few stubble trimmers (Conair Super Stubble trimmer and Wahl Aqua blade trimmer - both at the base blade 0.2-0.4mm ranges). These are both okay, but looking for one with better, more efficient cutting and line up ability.

    PSA BEWARE: if you put the trimmer on the dock when its not completely drained, the trimmer will still charge but its sucking at the same time so over time it will hold a charge less. Make sure its fully dead or as close as you can before charging it up, as much as possible. Never charge at half or full battery

      This information is no longer correct. That was true with Nickel based batteries, but now days, most batteries (included these clippers) are Lithium based. It is harmful for a lithium based battery to fully die.

    How did you adjust it? And when you adjusted it did it make the teeth closer together?

    Perfection👍🏽 Andes is one of the best brands that lasts a long time if you take care of them.

How many days freaking leash should you put grease in your hair?

    Bro you mentioned that those clippers do not hit out the box, so you made adjustments to the blades to make them hit. Can you please do a video tutorial on how to make the blade adjustment so the clippers will hit ?

    I just got them, while it is easy to 0 gap, the fact the blade in width is so small was a turnoff. While these are kool they wont fully replace the corded outliners from Andis. Best part of this clipper is the fact it is cordless to me..
