I don't know why I said Gundam Lore in the beginning, or why I didn't spot it during editing lol. Also, anyone mentioning the scarlet team will be sniped on the spot. Bonus fact for people reading the pinned comment: The Fellowbooster was nicknamed F.F. by Federation soldiers, which supposedly stands for FlatFish in reference to its shape. (The flatfish in question is the olive flounder, aka Japanese flatfish) Personally, I’d like to believe that the Fellowbooster had an FF model number (like the Tin cod, Core Booster, etc.) and that this in combination with the shape led to FlatFish becoming the nickname(instead of F.F.)
I would like to point out that the RGM-79(G) GM Sniper could be equipped with any weapon used by "standard" ground units according to both model kits and the deluxe action figure... While canonically debatable it make logical sense in universe.
When would you consider doing the Guncannon's or maybe Guntank's? Because you got me interested in Guncannon's when you made the Top 5 best outdated mobile suits that weren't Gundam types.
"I don't see anything there. Just really large, slightly boxy, blue and light blue coloured bushes that occasionally make hissing sounds. Probably just warm summer breeze." "Sounds good!"
One of the silliest things about UC Gundam is the millions of GM offshoots that were apparently developed and manufactured in the few weeks between the GM's introduction at the Battle of Jaburo and the end of the war, and the fact that not a single one of these were fielded at Solomon or A Baoa Qu. Star Wars has a similar problem with the Empire apparently having countless TIE variants that they never bothered to take to Endor, but the problem is made far worse in Gundam due to the short time-frame involved.
This is the main problem of retroactive additions to canon. Luckily, we only see a small percentage of those battles in the original Gundam shows, leaving room for OVAs and such to stray away from Amuro and crew and show us some of the other happenings with different machines.
I personally believe that as early as the RX-78 became successful, they emmidiately had plans for making variants for it and mass production models as well. But the existence of variants that appear after Jaburo sure are questionable. I guess we can conclude that these MS are results of Federation soldiers making up stories to make them selves sound cool when they tell war stories.
@@DarkAlex1978 Yeah. Unlike Zeon who wasted a lot of resources creating mobile armor prototypes with mixed results, the Federation emphasized a lot in cost effectiveness and quick mass production, creating a base model with somewhat standardized parts that can be produced by the thousands, and modified for specialized roles

Yeah this would be a cool addition to GBO2, that or something similar. Seems more reasonable than some of the ideas I thought up. Like something for aquatic MS. Beam is easily tracked and if a zeon pilot found out where I was I would be forced to find another spot but solid ammo is hard to track
Makes me wonder why nobody in the Universal Century ever invested into Railgun or Gauss Weaponry. You get the perks of ballistic weapons, with the advantage of a kinetic force that *will* hurt something no matter the armor, because the shot will either go right through the target, or turn anyone inside the target into Milkshake upon impact. I mean, how do you stop a projectile that goes several times the speed of sound to the point it hits near-instantanously? You can't, that's how. You know military snipers in real life do more scouting and reconnaissance and less actual sniping as they are task to prevent their team from dying. This is basically what I heard from military people. @@26th_Primarch Yeah but it would just make more sense to be black as it is a sniper unit in space. I mean the other GM Snipers were green or a mix of mustard yellow and dark green which can be used for camouflage. @@26th_Primarch True but it was an OVA, they had more budget in it. Also it could have been a lighter darker color too like very very dark blue or a dark grey. They could have colored space a little brighter like in the older Gundam series. Also they never sold the GM Sniper II as a model kit or toy before the HGUC GM Sniper II so toy sales isn't really an option at the time for the GM Sniper II and the Alex got one really early as it was a Gundam. Old video I know, but it's definitely the most relevant one for this question. I know many of the suits from 0080 were originally supposed to be redesigns for previously existing suits. Was the GM Sniper II such a design?
In the Gundam battle operation 2 game it said that the GM sniper 2 was very difficult to maintain and thus was never able to perform at it's max capacity.
Have you did one with the ability to transform into jet mode like The Zeta, Delta Plus and are there units to? And what's the back story about Delta Gundam Delta Plus and Gundam Delta Kai?
While it was stated that the GM Kai High Mobility Type was said to have been modified to match the GM II, it really didn't. While it was faster and had more powerful thrusters, it's cockpit and generator were first generation. Meaning no 360 panoramic view, and the generator had the same output as the GM Sniper II. It's sensors also didn't compare to the GM II either. This kind of shows that the Titans only said it was a match and never really intended to formally adopt the GM II into their forces because they weren't responsible for it's development, unlike the Gundam Mark II.
Ironically if Zeon made a Zaku like this and place them in squads they could have easily won a decent number of engagements with Gundams, let alone other mobile suites.
Never did understand why they didn't continue to make sniper units they always seem to be super effective I mean even the zaku sniper which was built off a zoku one still super effective in the time of unicorn
Yes, Nemo is the simplified version of Simper II. Anaheim wanted to make a GM II competitor, so they reverse engineered the most powerful RGM-79 model and made a mass production model based on it.
Oh yeah, seeing The 223677th Fragment of the Man-Emperor of Mankind's comment, doesn't the GM Sniper Custom look more like a Spartan in the Battle Operation 2 form? Or am I thinking of the Striker? I remember seeing a GM variation and going, "Damn! That looks like a Spartan from Halo!"

This kind of shows that the Titans only said it was a match and never really intended to formally adopt the GM II into their forces because they weren't responsible for it's development, unlike the Gundam Mark II.
Kakarot as always spreading knowledge👌❤ if only he is our teacher in history😂
8:00 ... Zero in Gunpla. ..but what about the Dominance though?
Great breakdown!!!!!!
Very cool video, high quality as always. But what about the GM Dominance?
Can't wait for the Zaku II video. It'll be like 40 minutes long with all the mass produced type variations and custom versions...
Ironically if Zeon made a Zaku like this and place them in squads they could have easily won a decent number of engagements with Gundams, let alone other mobile suites.
So can Anyone tell me why the Big robot needs a scope On his rifle ?????
GM Snipers: Boom, Headshot.
Zeek shit can: "Dead"
Can we get a video of all the reasons why GMs are better then any Zeek shit can?
Please do more development history videos of all the Gundam mobile suits
Never did understand why they didn't continue to make sniper units they always seem to be super effective I mean even the zaku sniper which was built off a zoku one still super effective in the time of unicorn
Wonder why GM Sniper II served as inspiration for the Nemo? *looking at the backpack*
Yes, Nemo is the simplified version of Simper II.
Anaheim wanted to make a GM II competitor, so they reverse engineered the most powerful RGM-79 model and made a mass production model based on it.
Not only the backpack, but the entire thruster layout was based from the Sniper II in the development of the Nemo
i really wish they made a short series to show case the titans test team and hazel gundams
nice video - full of informatin but it would helped if come together with boxarts which available in market..
Welp time to buy the mg gm sniper 2
Whooo love GUNDAM keep up the good work
They should create a GM Commando team with all the sniping abilities.
Are the measured weight for those robots accurate? Main battle tanks weight more than those frames.
I've always love the GM Sniper line
but BOY was my all time favorite the GM Sniper 2
thing kicks butt no matter what its in
6:00 just like the mg dosen't have anyting special but the performance was amazing
