- We stayed at the Marriott Marquis in New York City last year and stayed in Times Square. This was the best hotel and location to stay. Check it out if you are ever there. It was safe and easy to pop out right onto times square. Highly recommend this location if you are staying in New York

The elevator system shown in this video has since been redone. All you have to do now is scan your room key and it takes you right to your guestfloor

Hey thanks for watching. So I’m not sure what our room number was but we were on the 25th floor. The view in times square looking both ways is about the same so from our room that is not where the ball drops however it’s a great view of Times Square. So you want to make sure you specify that when booking. Be sure to check out are other New York videos. We have some really good content in NY.
All Floors 10-45 have Guest Rooms.
Thank you for the tips! I’ve been to NYC many times, but I’ve never stayed at the Marriott Marquis. I’m going to a convention next summer and I got a convention rate which was within my budget. I knew about the entrance to the hotel, because I’ve used that walkway as a short cut. But, I didn’t know about the lobby on the 8th floor. I’ve been inside the hotel and the Marquis theater, but I don’t remember the details about getting around. So, your Uber driver didn’t drive you down the walkway? I guess it’s restricted. Oh! I think The View restaurant has a pri fix (sp?) menu. That is, “everyone” has the same four course meal. First course,salad. Second course, seafood. Third course, beef. Fourth course, dessert. Many NYC restaurants are expensive, The View is super duper expensive. Also, I’m not a big fan of seafood. After about 4 bites I get tired of the taste. So, I can eat a small piece, but I can’t dig into it. Thanks again for the video!

does it have a rooftop bar?
How close is the hotel to the main attractions (statue of liberty, Empire State Building)? If not close, are there tourist buses nearby?
There are a few things within walking distance from the hotel like Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, Broadway, Central Park, NY Public Library & Plaza Hotel. However, the Empire State Building & Grand Central Station are about a mile away (18min-15min on Google maps) so that just depends on if you want to walk that far. As for the Statue of Liberty that is on the other side of Manhattan so it is 4.5miles away. There are tons of options to get around though. There are subway stations all over, taxis, & Ubers. We chose to take the Big Bus Tours & it stops at most the major attractions. It also has a narrator to tell you about the attractions as you drive by. The main pick-up (#1 stop) is a block from the hotel in front of the Knickerbocker. We got on at stop #1 & rode it all the way down to stop #13 at Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty. This allowed us a ride to Statue of Liberty but got to see & hear about a lot of the main attractions on the wayside there.
