Congrats. You are the only videos showing the entire thing (beginning to the end) including how to deal with those clipping connectors (boring to figure out alone).
Thanks for the quick n' dirty! Gotta get my 2010 FLSTC rocking again. Btw: Quantum Fuel Systems (pump, reg, filter, screen, wiring pigtail, lines, o-rings and clamps) $94. HD dealership cost for same, $513.
The only comprehensive video with step by step instructions for softail pump replacement. If I may recommend one attention point is with the o-ring on the minute 2:30. I was not careful when handling and lost it. First big challenge was to find the part number 11387A. But the challenge wasn't over. You can't find this in any other HD authorized dealer. I tried some and guess what? Leaking all over. Luckily a relative used to work in a o-ring industry down in Brazil. They turn the injector machine and prepared sets with a gasoline resistant!!! So be careful with that o-ring if when performing this maintenance procedure!
I saw you testing your float resistance,. That was very good.. now I would like to ask you, had you thought to use jumpers and in a safe area to put 12 volts on the pump, and find if it is still good ??
you can basically hear whether pump is operating correctly or not by turning on ignition. Mine was making very strange noise that is why I have replaced it completely. I would not use any jumpers to check when pump is in a tank. 12V is anyway supplied by original connection so why jumpers ?
I jist tore into mine and only the green o ring is present. Wondering if it was forgotten during manufacturing.....far as I know no one has been in this tank
HI there nice video...... I am facing problem with my street bob 2012 model & the local dealer has advised to replace the fuel pump ... by the way did you order the fuel pump kit from Harley or any aftermarket supplier like V twins manufacturing etc. ??
I want you guys to stop the video right where the pump is just coming out of the access opening, and look at the bottom of the pump... That cheap filter, has been sucked up against the pumps opening, only a matter of time for the filter to actually keep fuel from entering the bottom of the pump.
Your video helped a lot. I have a Fat Boy 103. Thanks from the Chechen Republic. Sorry for my bad english.

Great video, helped me change my quick connect and fuel filter on my 2012 Fatboy Lo. Thank you.
Did you have to prime anything before you started it?
