PART 2: Devora still doesn't know how to use a PS5 controller and the vibes are still very, very chaotic! - Ігри
Next stream will be tomorrow (Friday 13th October) @ 9pm BST: www.twitch.tv/devorawilde
Loved this stream and the one you did with Jen and her girlfriend. I hope they make a BG3 movie and cast you both in your roles for live action
Can't wait! I'm sure it'll be fun.
Love to see it❤
Thank you for your time Devora.
Yay, happy birthday to me!!
The sheer speed at which Dev went from "oh what a charming young man :)" to "Christ can this guy shut the fuck up already" about Gale is hilarious lmfao
IT HAD ME IN TEARS!!!
Endless respect to the unexpected producer/co-host grace. 😂
Quite literally a Saving Grace! These games are a lot to digest if you never played a CRPG, let alone games in general, let alone if you're streaming lol.
@@nahuelmatLet alone if it's the first game you ever played 😂
Things you can do to improve the stream:
1. .... nah, it's hilarious an fun af as is.
2. Carry on Bae'zel
3. My inner pyro is celebrating on the orders to be on standby to set Bing Bong on fire.
Really people, we're heading into winter, I'm just ensuring Bing Bong stays warm throughout the cold months :D
Devora talking to her companions as though they are miscreant kittens to be herded has me 🤣🤣🤣
This feels like a scam comment on one contact that user
I agree it's gotta be my favorite part 😂😂 she's so adorable, I want her to adopt me, I need an awesome mom like Dev.
That mindflayer fight certainly was a rollercoaster of emotions. 😂😂😂
Gale specializes in two things: talking a lot, and casting really strong magic. Tbh I thought he was really boring at first, but he ended up becoming one of my favorite characters.
And I can't wait until you find Karlach, I bet you'll love her. She looks tough and scary (and she is in battle), but she's such a sweetheart.
I'm gonna watch every installment, I don't care if there is 2 or 2000.
Honestly, seeing you and the other BG3 non-gamers picking up the game makes me realize just how much insider information there is on this stuff. Things that seem obvious to me actually aren't obvious at all, it's just "obvious" because I've played a bunch of other games that did things a similar way.
DnD is a pretty complex game and BG3 is a pretty faithful adaptation so picking it up will always be a challenging place to start! You're doing great.
Yea it's gigantic learning curve to both pick up gaming in a 3d world (most new gamers have serious troubles adjusting to navigating a 3d space) AND compound it with all the intricacies of D&D and CRPG/turn based combat. That's the big takeaway I get with BG3 - it's just so good it's getting people to try something completely outside of their comfort/skill zone and enjoy it.
A totally different psychology than normal life
Yeah I play games occasionally but had no idea how dnd worked at all and almost quit this game out of confusion after not being able to figure out the turn-based fighting even after a few hours of playing. I had to watch a bunch of tutorials and it finally made sense lol
@@jMichaels878 Yes, the game is very much aimed at an audiance familliar with the concepts of turn based RPGs and the DnD mechanics.
It's quite intuitive once you "get" it but is very different from most other games.
I see this, and I think "Why would anybody want to play this on a console?" The game is MUCH easier to play on a PC. The mouse is your friend. It is your key to the menus, and your character's guide.
Since you encouraged respectful guidance in the comments, heres whst I have to offer to help:
You have three types of "moves" in combat: Action, Bonus Action and Move.
Each of them are represented in the UI
Action - Green Circle
Bonus Action - Orange Triangle
Movement - thr Blue bar around the turn button
The moves your characters do take one of these resources, for example: if you're taken to 0 hp and healed the act of standing up takes an Action. But to confuse things: if you've been knocked prone, standing up takes 1/2 your Movement. To learn more about what resources your moves cost, refer to the tool tip of the move.
That's my two cents. I hope its somewhat helpful, I've been really enjoying getting to know the BG3 cast. So thank you!
Thank you! Very helpful!
@@thisisdevorawildeI just realized a mistake I made in my comment: the PS UI is slightly different from the PC. For the PS, your movement is represented by its value.
Another bit of useful info for Dev is that for characters with a high strength stat you can use your bonus action and 3meters to do a jump while in combat. I say high strength because your jump distance increases the higher your strength is. So by using your bonus action and 3points from your movement you can cover more ground than if you just walked up to the enemy. This can be the difference on whether you're close enough to an enemy to hit them in 1 turn rather than 2
@@chocolatemilk6022 I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't realise this until well into Act 2 😉
LOVE the chaotic vibe of your streams Dev. it'll be a lot of fun when you are able to have guests such as Jenn, Sam, Amelia etc on as well (if they're brave enough)
I’ve started talking to my companions like dogs now too in my head when I play. “Cmon Minthara, let’s go, get over here. Good girl!”
Thanks Dev lol
Hi Dev! One important thing to keep track of (especially in combat) is the hit points of the characters. They are the numbers on the character portraits on the left of your screen, or the red bar on the top of the screen when a character is highlighted. When they go to zero, the character will be down.
When you were able to hit the mind flayer, even though it didn't look like anything happened, the mind flayer's hit points got reduced, and each hit brought it closer to death until Shadowheart was able to finish it off.
If your party member goes down you would either need to heal them or help them to get them back up. This is usually a bad thing in combat, since the healer/helper would need to spend some kind of action and/or resources to help a downed ally up, and the downed character would need to spend an action just to stand up. So it would be good to keep track of your party members' hit points to make sure they don't go down too often.
I hope this makes it somewhat clearer. This game has a system that although not super complex for RPG veterans, can be very overwhelming for people with less RPG experience, and the tutorial doesn't do a great job easing new players into it. Combat can be quite fun when you get a firmer grasp on the system. I hope you keep enjoying the game!
This is fantastic! Many thanks!
I will say, Dev has only streamed a couple of times, but watching her has made me realize how cynical and jaded with life I've become, Idk, I just feel like I could do with more obert joy, watching her streams helps, it's somewhat cathartic.
Edit: Overt*
@@johnhodgdon2434you can edit the original comment dude!
@@darkphoenix2 I know that but UA-cam will remove Dev's heart and even though she probably has someone running her account for her and she didn't do it, I would rather die than lose that heart.
@@johnhodgdon2434 I'm pretty sure it's her.
@@travisemerson933 She has a family, multiple socials and most likely just became a highly sought after VA, I am sure her managers phone is blowing up with VA gigs.
I am not saying there is no way it's her, I just doubt it, she is probably insanely busy.
I would think it's her manager or maybe a personal assistant.
Regarding the gatekeeping aholes complaining and complaining and complaining...ignore them.
Honestly, as an expert gamer, I'm always happy to see people learning to love the magic of videogames, at their own pace, who cares about having to watch the figuring out of the controller, we've all been there. To this day sometimes I confuse R1 and L1, and I've been playing on playstation for over 20 years now. All it matters is that you're having fun playing and finally enjoy your hard work in its context, the way we experienced it. You're doing great, and it's a joy watching you. Haters gonna hate, but who cares. Haters will never be as fabulous as Dev'Zel!
I'm not sure she enjoys the game though, doesn't like character creation, doesn't like combats, doesn't like reading tutorials, doesn't like long conversations, doesn't like leveling up, doesn't like choosing spells, I mean, what's left? Hey, as long as you're having fun, that's the main thing and the only important rule in D&D too.
@@basseon she clearly is enjoying engaging with the audience, also I've felt annoyed at all of those things from time to time but I love this game. Making choices in character creation and leveling up can be overwhelming, combat in this game can feel slow especially when enemies stand still forever before taking their turn. Long conversations can feel annoying until you get more engaged with the story, or you may just not care about the character you're talking to. Tutorials are always annoying to me no matter the context, I like to figure things out on my own but it does come back to bite me sometimes.
@basseon to be honest if you're not into gaming, games are annoying at first. I've been annoyed by every single game I've played if I'm being honest. She's getting used to it and she's just having a bit of a whinge. I know some people treat every game like they're sacred but it's actually fine for some people to have feedback for games as brand new gamers - this isn't a newbie friendly game in my opinion.
@@DeadAugur I can totally see why it could be annoying, it's a certain type of game, I get that. The experience would be drastically different playing Shovel Knight or Mario Kart that's for sure. Unfortunately(and fortunately), she did voice acting for BG3, one of the hardest game there is for newbies AND the RPG of a generation! I just hope she gets more fun than frustration while playing. I wish I could help her honestly, not tell her what to do(because that's the main selling point of this game: you can do almost anything!), but just take 15 minutes every week to teach her a few basic things about the game so that the whole thing becomes less confusing.
There's one thing I much prefer compared to Jen and her girlfriend is that she explores more on her own. Such a big part of this game. There's not right or wrong, no need for people to tell them where to go next, it's an adventure! Go on adventuring!
I can't imagine not knowing the rules for D&D 5e and/or having never played Divinity and jumping in this game. What a nightmare at first!
@@indieprincess8348 No it's not a newbie friendly game at all! I can't imagine having never played Divinity and/or not knowing the D&D 5e rules and jumping into BG3. What a nightmare at first!
It's fine, I get all that, I truly hope she gets more fun than frustration out of this game in the end.
Just throwing this out there, but we need art of Lae'zel and Dev'zel doing the Dino Dance.
It's pronounced Dino Dance, not Dino Dance
@@otar2091 Dino like the Flintstones' dino dog?
Dev laying down the Housekeeping rules at the beginning is my favourite thing in the world ever.
Grace the Mod/Wingwoman is the strongest party member by far. She's a saint lol
Lmao, I’ve never submitted to the mind flayer, her whole team almost died. 😂
"Oh haha Gale, you're so charming, I love the way you talk."
30 seconds later
"Okay. Shut up now, Gale. You talk too much." - Dev'zel
As a mother myself, I admire that you find time to make these videos. The fact that you are learning all these new things just now is completely okay, ignore all the trolls. It is never late to learn something new.
I have been playing videogames for ages now but I still enjoy watching your videos. You have such a unique point of view on the game, that is really nice to watch it. Please do keep doing it. Thank you for this and also thank you for all the work on the game itself.
Keep going with the playthrough, makes me happy 😊
Ignore the gatekeepers, gaming is about having fun and learning is a part of the process. Also Gale does talk A LOT lmfaoooo
Regarding the HDR: Your PS5 hasn't been set up correctly or it's been set too bright because your TV has an incredibly dark screen.
On the main screen of your PS5 the settings are top right (the cog). "Screen and video" is where you can adjust HDR.
UA-cam has great guides for that kind of stuff.
It's so great youre doing this 😂, you're the streamer we all needed.
Have i watched this video? - yes, but i will watch it again. :) love you Dev
Loving these. We need to know Grace's twitch so we can show her some support too.
I don’t have stream on twitch, but I have a TikTok! It’s the same username as my UA-cam account ☺️
What we really need is your cam next to Dev's :)
35:59 she’s made every cursed option possible in the cutest funniest genuine way. I giggled so loud 10 times already 😭😭😂😂😂 36:57 this cute exchange lmao they sound like siblings 😂
This is one of the best series of streams I've ever seen. It's heartwarming and inspiring and honestly I hope some Larian folks are watching and taking notes so the experience can be improved and made more accessible for first-timers. (Alas, not all new players will be lucky enough to have a Grace to guide them.) What a gift, thank you for doing this.
Dev I absolutely love you, and I could listen to your rants all day! You're amazing, keep it up!❤️
The housekeeping was legendary xD I love that you're even doing this, you didn't have to
I love how impatient you are with Gale and just nonsense in general. Totally in line with Lae'zel lol
Devora: "Guys I don't like the combat, I just want to run around this Fay-run and talk to the characters"
Me: "No no no, it's Fay-roon"
Devora: "CH'UK!"
Very glad you streamed again , thank you !
This game has something wonderful and that is: the more I watch the cast and see them interact with each other or the audience the more I love the game and the more and more I see their incredible performance while playing the more I appreciate them and their work as actors
Love the streams! I couldn't stop laughing during the mindflayer encounter. I also laughed so hard during your interactions with Gale. It's so nice to see a different perspective!
:D watching Dev play makes me appreciate her being cast as Lae'zel even more, also the camp timeouts are just chef kiss perfection.
This game really teaches you that f*ck around and find out actually means something 🤣
Grace, you're such sn excellent wingwoman, calm and non condescending tips! Great stream! You go slay dev!
Thank you!
Dev: I don't like combat, I want to explore and talk to people.
Also Dev: Oh my god, shut up Gale! 🤣
In fairness, he is a massive windbag and needs to chill.
Also love "I know it's dangerous, but I'm going to poke it anyway". That's how you know you have a d&d player on your hands.
Man BG3 is really making me consider trying tabletop DnD
Grace out here fighting for her life, thank you Grace.
I aim to please
I love her surprised reactions when speaking to Lae'zel in camp (or overall)... I'm just like "babe, you're the one who VA'd her!! You said those things!" 🤣but I remember she said in interviews that recording was a bit disconnected from the overall story so it's all fun to see! 😁😆
First rule of fight club: Do *_not_* smooch with the squid-faced mind flayer.
I didn't know you played Tzarina Katarin (as well as Aliona as Ulrika) in Warhammer. Pretty cool! Those two characters have some of my favorite lines in the WH3 game. For Ursun! For Kislev!
39:49 "Shadowheart's actually pretty cool!"
*Lae'zel disapproves*
Thanks for sharing your hard work and overall art! So grateful for your role here! Truly life changing!!❤❤❤
Love watching you on here, and as a fellow "Dev", I love your choice of names. ;)
Thank you for sharing this adventure with us! It's great that you are enjoying it!
You know you have made it, when people are spoofing you. Best of luck again.
I wished i could get more of my favorite character and Gith delivered us a miracle, this is peak content.
Thank you for these. You’re a breath of fresh air! I’ll try to catch your next one live 😊
I have so much fun watching this series, hope theres many more to come! You’re great! ☺️
Love the streams, lots of fun!. Hope to see more of them, keep up the great work!
You are doing great! A friend of mine with no experience in a game like this was struggling at first but she eventually fell in love with the game. I would say embrace the mistakes. Its part of the fun!
Omg I love these streams so much!! You have such a fun chaotic energy that’s so infectious 💖💖
Yes Dev! Loving this series so far
Our pro gamer queen ✨
Appreciate your streams! Lae'zel is a great character!
Thanks for uploading the vod on youtube, much appreciated from those of us who are unable catch it on Twitch.
As for the stream, just keep doing what you're doing, immensely enjoyable watching you sass everyone and everything.
It's such a treat to watch you discover this amazing game as a new gamer! Love seeing the chaotic choices lol also speaking as someone who plays on pc, the controls on xbox/ps5 look super unintuitive so I'm impressed that you stuck with it!
I've watched many players playing this game and you are *by* *far* my favorite. Much love!
You did amazing, just watched the whole thing! :) can't wait for the next one :)
Love these episodes! Streams have been really fun!
You're doing great! It's such a joy seeing you discover new things in this game
GIVE SHART BACK THE CIRCLET YOU GASLIGHT BOOMER'ZEL MURDERER MCGEE!
HEY!!! The circlet is MINE
I am loving these videos!
thank you for streaming- while I play the game this is so fun to watch
"Nope, no justice for Bing Bong." 😂
Thank you, it's a lot of fun to watch 😂
I've been playing games my whole life and even so BG3 was overwhelming in the beginning.
I've watched a few combat tutorials and they really helped me to get the hang of it. They don't really spoil the plot, but help immensely to start enjoying the combat encounters.
And again, thanks for the fresh perspective on the game :)
I love watching brings so much joy to see you play ❤
I for one am glad Dev'zel kissed the mind flayer because I have never had the nerve to do it and I was dying to know what happens if you do. Sooooo ... THANKS DEV!!!!
Watching a brand new gamer be born in real-time is absolutely lovely.
Lol this is one of the most enjoyable streams I’ve watched in a while. Thank you for being true to yourself and bringing chaotic joy to us all. We appreciate the time you’re taking to learn all of these things. Hope you’re having fun too.
Edit: Also someone should prob at some point explain positioning to you when it comes to certain classes just cuz it may be easier. Like fighters/paladin/berserkers want to be all up in the enemy's face smacking with swords. Spellcasters generally wanna stay far away from enemies and use their spells (that can hit from ranged) So your cleric/wizard/sorcerer. And then rangers/rogues generally have stuff for both. You may see this, may not - doesnt really matter youre great either way :)
Love to see you play that game and take your first stepps in gaming. Enjoying every second watching it.
I myself have nearly finished it with my boyfriend and we had so much fun. We are playing since early access.
Have had a lot of fun since than.
Thousand thanks to your incredible voice acting!
Love Lea'zel
Hope you enjoy playing this game at least as much as we did.
And lots of thanks and live to Grace, she is incredible!!!
It's so exciting n satisfying watching her master the controls and at the same time the game--so wholesome : , )
Glad to see you enjoying yourself 😁
You are pure content gold. An absolute joy to listen to as i work ( i am blessed to be allowed to watch streams / vods because I’m a video game illustrator! Lol ) subbed & following you on stream !
Pure hilariousity. Thank you Dev for these vids.
I honestly never watch vods but i really love your streams and its so fun watching you play and learn the game ! and your commentary is amazing
I mist admit that I really wnjoyed your first VOD upload of BG3 but your houskeeping intro and the chaos afterwards was even more amazing. Rock on
I'm so obsessed with these streams 😂Wish I had Grace to help me out at the beginning of the game lol - I've played DnD before and it was still a ton of information to take in!
this is great!!! im excited to see a playthrough thats done by someone newer to the format! love watching you play, dont listen to the haters, also your skin looks amazing
Love all de dev vids from the voice actors playing the game. It's really a jewel of a game.
Dude loving all of this content from you, Jenn and Aliona, Amelia and of course Neil. Dude, you guys are killing it...
Also I subscribed, saw your stand up, it was great! Cheers! Look forward to seeing more!🤣
Dude, I just found out Samantha is also going to be streaming the game! Such an awesome cast!
hello! been loving the stream vods, they’re very fun to watch. just wanted to say that the way you rushed through gale’s level up and just picked random spells is completely fine and good enough for getting through the entire game. any spells you don’t pick in level up he can still learn later by eating magic scrolls, so in the long term it’s just not that big of a deal.
apologies if you already knew that and i’m being mansplainy, and thank you for getting that dino dance song stuck in my head all week, it’s been bringing me joy while i do my job each day.
Love the streams, the chaotic energy, the hilarity and the Housekeeping segments. Forget about the haters, you’re learning and having fun and that’s all that should matter! Dev’Zel is breezing through, and with style 💁♀️
Love your work Dev, never change!
It's interesting that video games help me unwind and relax after a long day at work.
And for others it's stressful. Still fun but stressful.
Love the stream. And I will keep watching if you keep playing!
I'm finally able to catch up.
I love these streams and i hope you too are have a good time playing.
I don’t really like watching streams, but I watch your streams with pleasure, and thank you for Lae’zel, she is always with me, I never make her wait in the camp, I like her too much xD
Thanks Dev, looking forward to the next stream :)
i think its cool the way you play! i grew up gaming and im 26 now, so it's really refreshing seeing someone beginning to love it and experience the same enjoyment i did getting into it all those years ago! playing a game like this is perfect for that captivating feeling! Enjoy!
You did an ABSOLUTELY amazing job as Bae'zel! And fuck the haters and keep doing and being awesome! Thank you for sharing
Your first video was suggested to me yesterday and I watched whilst doing some work shit, and it's endearing and entertaining. Keep going!
It's also a game with a steep learning curve at the start, and honestly I can't imagine playing it on a controller as I'm on PC. You're doing well for something so complex.
Was waiting for this one
love love love that Dev is continuing to stream Dev'zel's adventure 💕
Dev, I didn't know, that you are from Bulgaria 😊. That is nice! Also the GREAT composer of this masterpiece ❤, Mr. Boris Slavov is Bulgarian 😊.
Commenting to help the algorithm; thanks for the content Dev and Grace
i love these videos so much 😂 Dev is an icon
I did NOT expect the cast to be so fun, but idk why, they're professional entertainers and it shows. Charisma! Charm! Beauty! Chaotic Malice!
The fact the lazel actress has something a cuetsy as dinodance is the cutest irony every
Had to housekeep! I’m lovin the vibes :)
I always love to see people that never play games playong something for the first time. The birth of a new gamer.
