Gale the character: ragged, scruffy and a smart mouth gentleman Gale the voice actor: well groomed, mature-ish and looks like your maths teacher in primary school lol
😂😂😂😂 I laughed so hard at this because he does like something or someone I should know and couldn’t put my finger on it. Read this comment and said out loud ‘That’s it!’ 😂😂😂
I commented on the first video that I suspected it would be 3 hours of Astarion flirting with Gale. I *really* wish those two had been partnered for the second half, it would have been priceless.
I love how Gale was insistent that he didn't need help, but the moment that Shadowheart mentions that she has guidance, Gale was like "You know what, good point"
Neil being a D&D fan and veteran player really makes him shine (and he knows how to play Astarion better than anything), but I loved how both Jennifer and Tim really took to the roleplay spirit of D&D in this game. Dev just wants to hit things which is so Lae’zel, Theo actually trying to get shit done is so Wyll, and I love Samantha trying to survive in all the shit everyone pulls. Perfect cast all around and I wish they did 16278493929 more hours of them actually playing d&d as their characters because I would eat it up
I'm surprised Wyll/Theo casting darkness over his companions and then booking it wasn't featured! "Yeah, It's all about tactics! I'm not scared!!" That entire session was so much fun and genuinely hilarious XD
Everyone saying they should be on CR / D20 but Mark is literally the DM Niel wanted. He also created Bing Bong and did an amazing job with the new players of the cast. His campaigns deserve a watch! A new one comes out November 5th too!
The fact that the part with Wyll and Gale getting their haircut isn’t added in here is such a crime lol 😭 Especially when Theo goes “Gale we gotta go cmon Gale” with his eye twitch and Gales cucumber water 😂
I love all these little clips so much, thank you for sharing them 😄 9:03 is so powerful with Samantha's judging stare, she totally rolled a 20 on intimidation with how quickly Neil gave in there LOL
My personal favorite moments were the mental image of Laezel lighting poor Bing Bong on fire using Karlach and then missing the throw and Bing Bong splattering to the floor and dying instantly, and then how hyped everyone got whenever they brought Amelia in lmao
Well to be fair drawing any kind of sword from your back is impossible, a persons arms are to short for that. Great swords were historically just carried since they were to big to have in a sheath on your hip.
I just really appreciate how they know their character dynamics so well (I mean, obviously they would, considering just how much went into this) that they’re able to banter in character in a way that feels really believable. I also appreciate that some of the biggest ships/my faves (Lae’zel/Shadowheart, Bloodweave, Gale/Karlach) are next to each other somehow 😊
Astarion's voice actor is just psychotic realness in dnd, on stream, every where he go. I can't imagine anyone else to play his role so good. I love it. 3 on bottom half are just so good in roleplaying. Shadowheart too. And I need sign something to get Neil o D20 or Critical role. Someone said he is Marisha of this table. In my opinion, he is more like player of this chaotic druid in campaign 3, which is so funny, because he actually plays druid char on his stream (she is a bit dummy, as he never forget to mention). I absolutely love her (name of Ashley was just not on my mind for solid 10 minutes). Will is absolutely Sam😂 I'm fan of Neil's work now o other project too, RE Village. I will watch his streams on it too after BG3 material. Does someone know, when he starts? I'm not sure if he is from England (so same time as me) or somewhere in USA, that's a bit sad. 😅
Neil is incredible. He seems like the kind of guy that can walk into any room and be the center of it without trying. Big personality, funny, and decisive. I had to start a second playthrough while working on my first co-op one because I didn't bring Astarion to camp in my first playthrough.
Alternate title: Gale gets bullied for nearly 12 minutes.
if only i could pin comments
A truly mage experience.
Getting bullied is a class feature that every mage or bard gets once they joined the table. dems the rules. :D
all d&s wizards in a nutshell
Just like in the real game
Gale’s voice actor is actually hilarious
Well he is a comedic actor, been in many shows and some movies I belive.
Oh he's a gem. He's absolutely amazing in the Upstart Crow and Toast of London!
@@It9LpBFS37 I watched toast of london a few years ago and when I found out he was the dude next to Clem Fandango that blew my mind
He was in good omens too!
Smoothest voice too, my lord.
Gale the character: ragged, scruffy and a smart mouth gentleman
Gale the voice actor: well groomed, mature-ish and looks like your maths teacher in primary school lol
Honestly, Gales VA looking like some high school teacher really sells him as a modern day wizard.
Great voice too.
He grows his hair out and gets a beard, he can pull off a live action. @@cbdrawer9527
Spot on
😂😂😂😂 I laughed so hard at this because he does like something or someone I should know and couldn’t put my finger on it. Read this comment and said out loud ‘That’s it!’ 😂😂😂
Lae'zel yelling at Gale and then missing twice was so beautiful. 😂
“Well, well, well.”
Gotta love laezaels VA. She waited a good 20-30min for her first turn. Then rolls 2 4's Bless her heart. She tries.
And then absolutely demolishes everything in her next turn 😭
That's the true dnd experience though.
"I look at Gale, look at Wyll, and just go _sad sigh"_
Why can I literally imagine Astarion doing that though lmaooo
Neil's great
I love Tim and Neil's dynamic so much.
I commented on the first video that I suspected it would be 3 hours of Astarion flirting with Gale. I *really* wish those two had been partnered for the second half, it would have been priceless.
That bit where Astarion asks Gale for money is the most sitcom bro energy i've ever seen from a dnd stream its glorius
I love how Gale was insistent that he didn't need help, but the moment that Shadowheart mentions that she has guidance, Gale was like "You know what, good point"
Tim's comedic timing is top notch and I love how the rest of the cast keeps teasing him and he keeps coming back.
He banters with the best of them.
Tim was amazing, I couldn't stop smiling because of his comedic timing or physical mannerisms- he's just Gale irl :')
I love that Devora is trying so hard to be abrasive as Lae’zel but she has to physically fight the urge to smile every time. 🤣
Neil is like the RDJ and Ryan Reynolds of Astarion, he was born to play the role and I can’t see anyone else doing it as good as him
Thats the problem, hes to good :D
Neil being a D&D fan and veteran player really makes him shine (and he knows how to play Astarion better than anything), but I loved how both Jennifer and Tim really took to the roleplay spirit of D&D in this game. "Look at Gale, look at Wyll... and just go hhhhhheh"
He’s sooo cutee 😭😭
Wyll and Karlach sadly don't get to say much during these. they shy. Astarion though really takes center stage, great improviser.
Yeah :(
Astarion is a huge nerd who played DND many times, for the rest it was their first game, hence the shyness 😊
Neil Newbon IS Astarion.
They should do some more, sure they’d come ours they shells
Ye, Astarion is a dnd nerd and Gale and Laezel were involved in the comedy industry. So they obviously flow together pretty well.
"you're gonna need a bigger boss!"
"....one"
Welcome to TTPRGS! :D
-spittakes-
Theo really got the real dnd experience with all those bad rolls.
As is tradition for a newbie.
And for Wyll in general, tbh xD
Me too, Theo. Me too. But he's still the prettiest at the table.
@@WingsOfASongThe Blade of Frontiers is more like the BABE of Frontiers, amirite
I would definitely watch this crew roll dice every week.
So how much money do we need for a whole campaign? :D
@@Cpt.Str4ng3Maybe they should start a patreon or even a kickstarter? I would donate.
Well they're all actors, not UA-camrs so it's probably difficult getting them all at the same place and time.
@@nunphoCritical Role are all voice actors, and look where they are now.
You should definitely watch Lightfall and Aerois, Marks 3rd campaign is also coming out soon! He deserves the views, he's a great DM
"Short rest to tell gale to 'fuck off'"
More of Dev playing DND she was BRILLIANT
It's impossible not to say 'What, Melty McMetalhands over there?' when clicking 'Send to Karlach' now
I'm surprised Wyll/Theo casting darkness over his companions and then booking it wasn't featured! "Yeah, It's all about tactics! I'm not scared!!"
That entire session was so much fun and genuinely hilarious XD
I love how even they not being old school D&D players, everyone just got the main idea right: bully the mage
Even though Wyll and Karlach didn’t get much screen time I think the “fuck off” was hilarious
Lae'zel missing twice and Wyll taking the brunt of the damage is so fitting. Like the game came to life lmao
Gale being Astarion's sugar daddy will never not be funny to me
Tav is in danger, Wyll nearly died... BUT WHAT ABOUT A NICE BROTHEL? 😂
Astarion/Neil thinking that Elminster looks kinda like Santa Claus killed me 😆
Astarion: "How about a nice brothel?"
Wyll disapproves
Gale disapproves
Shadowheart disapproves
Karlach disapproves
Lae'zel disapproves
Astarion's VA: "You're gonna need a bigger boss!"
Gale's VA: "1."
Peak comedy.

People can be so tribal, but I always have room in my life for different peeps doing some tabletop.
"Oh, that uncouth tiefling... let me pat you down, see if anything's still smouldering"
Incredible
i’m so glad neil and tim were sat next to each other. they were so funny during the whole campaign😂
It's weird to hear Lae'zel without the hissing in her speech and without the sporadic gith words that I'm 95% sure are expletives.
Dev has confirmed (I think on Neil's stream?) that most of the gith words she uses sporadically are definitely swear words.
I love how different Devora's natural voice is from Lae'zel - and how easily she slips into the voice!
Devora is insanely pretty.
This Laezeal misses attacks as much as mine.
the boots bit was so funny
A great way to play off a failed check, and super creative roleplay. Loved seeing Neil just let loose!
The fact that the part with Wyll and Gale getting their haircut isn’t added in here is such a crime lol 😭 Especially when Theo goes “Gale we gotta go cmon Gale” with his eye twitch and Gales cucumber water 😂
I love how Wyll just constantly roll's low it seems so in character hahahaha
Theo = Wyll. He is such a sweet and wholesome dude!!!
Neil needs to be on critical role. Please… praying to the dnd gods make it happen.
The shenanigans he would get up to with them would be HYSTERICAL.
I am manifesting this
Oh my gosh yes please! I want to see that so badly!
Him on Dimension 20 would be the best thing thats ever happened to me
@@fawneh1359 oh my gosh that too!

Im glad everyone agrees that Gale is the bullied friend
Wyll’s actor is so handsome!!
I keep on swooning whenever he appears on scene..
Literally gorgeous 😭
Right? It's abSURD. Why can't he be so... bodied like that in game?!
Theo is a handsome lad indeed!
They all lovely to look at

Neil picking up on it and playing on it is such a good table player move too. ♥
I cannot express enough how much I would watch 1000s of hours more of these guys playing DnD. Its all I want in life.
That was brave of Neil taking a drink when someone us rolling a dice 😂
the bi panic is real with these actors and their characters
When the characters are so well made the actors can go seemingly infinitely on fun of roleplaying them together :)
Samantha is the exact opposite of her character while Neil is literally Astarion😭
Neil and Tim were really vibing 😂😂
Tim was the true star of this whole thing
My personal favorite moments were the mental image of Laezel lighting poor Bing Bong on fire using Karlach and then missing the throw and Bing Bong splattering to the floor and dying instantly, and then how hyped everyone got whenever they brought Amelia in lmao
Larian got lighting in a bottle with this gang
This is absolutely the best description of the BG3's casting what I've seen.
@@ChasingTheEchoesOG Considering at least 3 of them are thank the gods gonna be at NYCC, I can't wait. I also need to finish the damn GAME!
I can’t believe you left out the part where wyll casts darkness on the monsters and immediately runs away in a “totally tactical retreat.”
Astarion's voice is so distinct. And the actor, while kinda like a male human Karlach in terms of fit, actually totally fits it irl. Lae-zael too
My favorite part of this first session when I watched it in full was Karlach running out of Wylls darkness and just screaming ''F- Off!'' XD
Gale being bullied for 12 minutes.
Astarion being "COM'ON BOOTS !"
Gale is crazy cat lady confirmed. 😹
Dev was so good in this I love how she maintains character integrity while also working well with the group and being super funny
You're gonna need a bigger boss! being immediately followed by One! was such perfect comedy
The most beautiful cast of voice actors there ever was....
huh.. almost sounds like the start of an adventure.

The dynamics and harmony of each cast is amazing!!
