I've never gone on Twitter etc. Because there is so much negativity. So I'm with you Ray! We could really use Elvis message music in these days and times to make people stop and think about where we've been and where we're headed if we don't change our thinking. I've lived in times where people helped each other and we looked out for our neighbors. Now we don't even know our neighbors. Extremists want to go back in time on the negative things, like taking away voting rights, racism and women's rights. I'd love to see a movement for All people and kindness and helping people and true Christian values!

    Love your reactions Ray 😊
It's so nice to get to go along with you on your journey of discovery of all things Elvis
You really are hilarious man !
Elvis Presley wow, he really was something else all together
    He had IT ALL! facts
But more than that, you could tell that he absolutely loved music. He was born to be on a stage and perform. I believe that even if it hadn't blown up how it did for him, if he never became THE Elvis Presley.. i think he'd still be working the circuit of bars and clubs, playing and singing every night!
He loved to perform to an audience
I would love it if you could react to
"Raised on Rock" and "Way down"
These songs are from the last two albums he released and it shocks me that so many don't see the value in these songs
Whereas when i hear both these songs i can't help but wonder about what could have come next, which direction his sound was heading in, oh if only he'd had the opportunity..
Im not just speaking musically of course, take his image on stage for example ..
What would have come after the jumpsuits??
    ..
Such a great talent taken way too soon.
He left a ginormous body of work behind and I enjoy every bit of it but I can't help but feeling hungry for more

Ray, I think if you live a Century or more, I can understand a person being at peace to meet the Lord. Elvis was bullied in school because he was so different. His hair etc. , but he never conformed to what other people wanted. Thank goodness, because we would have missed a beautiful God given talent if he had. One time some guys grabbed him in the restroom and were ready to cut his hair off when a guy from the football team named Red came in and said you cut his hair off, you cut mine off too and he was tough. He became a Marine later. They left and Elvis never forgot it. So later after his meteoric rise to fame & he came back from the Army he asked him to join his group and Red did. He even wrote some songs for him to sing. One being Why can’t everyday be like Christmas. So, Elvis had his bad moments in school and in life as everyone does. I believe that’s why he understood life and the passionate way he sings shows his soul. Thank you & Fredricho, I showed Fredricho to my niece and she ran off crying. I had to go after her and tell her he was a good person and no one liked him because they were scared of him and it made him sad like Casper the Ghost. Now she hugs it when she sees it. 😂😂😂😂 She has a new friend and she’s only 6. 😊😊❤❤🎸🕺🏻🎸🕺🏻🎤👻👻

Elvis chose music from songwriters that touched his heart. This is how Elvis did much of his social work, through his music. He didn’t do politics… never gave his opinion about any social topic of the day with the spoken word.
Like legendary Memphis Baptist Rev W Herbert Brewster told Elvis in the Elvis movie last year, and like he told him for real in the 1940s, “when you have something important to say -SING!!”.

Social Media is a curse and a blessing. We wouldn’t be able to share and express our united love and feeling about great people including Elvis and keep his memory relevant with new generations on the one hand, but then it gives a platform to people with hate , jealousy and division in their minds to spout their spiteful and vitriolic opinions that undermine, frighten and demoralise others, for no reason! Elvis only had the press to deal with and for all the hate against him, no one has ever been able to find photographic or recorded proof that supports any of the slander and libel about him in his life. Now, with technology and particularly AI, you can’t believe anything.
What you can believe, R’Elvis, is that you are well on the way to 100k subscribers who are fundamentally on the same page as you and love you honest to goodness reactions & Good Vibes!

This is classic Rockabilly. And I love the gospel undertones. I wonder if Elvis ever included this in a Vegas set? And the photos!! Boyyyyyyy. I swear, Elvis had to be the most photographed man in history. I discover new ones all the time, and I've maybe seen like 3 that were not absolute perfection. And friends say he was even better looking in person. I'm pretty sure I'd be tongue-tied if I didn't actually collapse just imagining it. Keep TCB, Brother Ray.

@Kathryne0816 Hey Miss Kathryne 👋 Just to say, you're right on point with your assessment about this song having gospel undertones.
Quote here from an article on Elvis's recording of Jerry Reed's "Talk About The Good Times": “Nobody can play like Jerry Reed.” Darrell Toney, baritone singer-acoustic guitarist for Terry Blackwood and the Imperials, swears in an exclusive interview that Reed overdubbed the 15-second gut string guitar solo on Elvis Presley’s cookin’ cover of “Talk About the Good Times,” the penultimate cut on 1974’s Good Times. Reed, also signed to RCA Victor, originally wrote and released the quasi-gospel barn burner yearning for days gone by “when a friend would meet you and a smile would greet you” on 1970’s Georgia Sunshine. His style is unmistakable starting at the 74-second mark. It’s pianist David Briggs and Master of Telecaster James Burton, who were tracking live with Elvis in Memphis’s Stax Studio, that you hear during the break on the rejected take three finally distributed on 1998’s Essential Elvis Volume 5.
I should also add here it does not look like Elvis ever performed this one live. He did record it during the last days of his Stax Studio sessions though, in December 1973.

@@sammy_the_uncool2702 Miss Sammy - I love Jerry Reed. I have been debating on asking Ray for a reaction to one of his songs, but am still dithering about it. Jerry wrote "Guitar Man" as I'm sure you know. There was a particular guitar lick he used in that song, and he was asked to come to the studio to play in the recording session. When Elvis came in, Jerry looked at him and said "Damn if you ain't the best lookin' thing I ever seen. I kinda wish I was a girl right now, Elvis." This from a 6 foot plus ex-Air Force guy who was definitely all man. Jerry wrote some really funny songs, but he could sing with the best of them on rockers, country, gospel. He and Elvis became friendly acquaintances, and I never heard Jerry say one bad thing about Elvis. thanks for your info - always on point, and much appreciated.

Elvis sings this song with so much passion and feeling . And so much truth neighbours helping each other and people watching out for one another. You could talk about the good times in those days, how the world used to be. people looked out for each other and showed love for one another. Respected one another . These days it’s all gone!. There is no loving thy neighbour and being kind. Elvis tells it how it was. The Good Times. Now times are harder and people are taking hate too far. Doors are bolted and guns are loaded!. And hate is being taken too far. Look how the world has changed since Elvis died. Crime and violence has increased drastically. This was a real message song!. There is so much evil in the world today. Elvis himself would be shocked at how the world is declining. Elvis was real and he sung about things he believed in. And I think Elvis would be relieved to be resting on the other side now. What with wars breaking out all over the world today!. It’s a cold day in hell now. No unity no love and that’s what the world needs now LOVE!. ♥️♥️

Hey Ray 👋 I'll email you the link to the page with pictures of Elvis in that same suit you wanted to know about.
Please do not feel obligated to email me back. I completely understand that you get a lot a lot of messages & emails & such.
What I cannot understand is why on earth you get so much hate? Like dang.
Not to sound corny, but whatever happened to lifting each other up? What is it with some people where they always have to try to drag others down?
I have never understood any of that. But then again that's why I stay away from social media.
Too many out there drinking the haterade.
    No thank you.
I'll stick to my not- fancy- water & plain not- fancy- coffee & boring herbal teas, thank you... Thank you very much 😉
Anyway, that photo is from a small collection of them taken when Elvis was onboard a train enroute to Los Angeles, CA to film his movie "G.I.Blues"- April 20, 1960; there was also an interview that took place.
I'd leave the link here but the YT Gods don't recognize the links to this one specific Elvis info website.
    I know, weird.
Anyway, for anyone that is interested in reading all about it (without photos, sorry), read on, friends:
Elvis on his way to Los Angeles Union station, late on April 20th, 1960. Charlie Hodge can be seen in the reflection sat next to Elvis. Charlie Hodge : 'Going out on the train to California, it was amazing to me. Every little whistle stop where trains no longer stopped, there was mobs of people all the way across the United States of America, they would be waving when the train went by, because they knew Elvis was on there'.
Question : Has Rock N' Roll died out?
Elvis: 'A lot people say it is has'.
'I'll tell ya, It has changed some, the music itself has changed, it's progressed quite a bit I think'.
    Question : It's better?'
Elvis: 'I think it's getting better all the time, you know, because the arrangements are getting better, they're adding more intsruments, and, you know so forth, it's getting better, but in 1956 when I first started out, I was hearing the same thing, that Rock N Roll was dead, that it was dying out, I'm not saying that it won't die out, because it maybe dead tomorrow, completely, I don't know'.
As his cab is mobbed by teenagers, returning veteran Elvis Presley (rear seat) plays it cool as he arrives in Los Angeles to start work on a movie at Paramount Studios. Despite his attempts to get from the station to his private car via the cab route, he was recognized and quickly surrounded by adoring fans.
Charlie Hodge : 'When we got to Los Angeles, they put us in about five or six different cars, and each car went in a different direction, and they didn't know which one Elvis was in, so they didn't know which one to follow, then we of course, went through the hotel there in Beverly Hills, the Beverly Wilshire Hotel'.
THANK YOU MISS APRIL 💜🌹💜🌹💜🌹💜🌹💜 WONDERFUL SONG CHOICE!
AND THANK YOU RAY FOR ANOTHER 🎶WONDER OF YOU🎶 WONDERRIFIC RELVIS REACTION 💙💐💙💐💙💐💙💐

@@susyq810 You are so welcome Miss Susy Q 😊🌻💕 Though as I have said sometimes the research is easy- peasy. It's researching the songs that at times requires time & effort & dogged determination 😀
Like "Farther Along" & "So High" from Elvis's "How Great Thou Art" Gospel album. Some of the songs Elvis chose to record have a rather mysterious history.
I had to really put on my "internet archeologist" hat 😂
Elvis's life is a different kind of rabbit hole. I'll admit that. And sometimes there are different versions of how this or that event unfolded.
Researching timelines and trying to rule out which versions are the 🎶Fairytale🎶 versions can also be time consuming & again require dogged determination.

The one problem with some of the supposed "hardcore" Elvis fans is that they think they know more than the next one and are assholes about it, plain and simple. I've seen some on different Elvis-related channels, and they act the same way there. These people are most likely the same way in their real life, so they're probably always a miserable f@#%face! Their only redeeming quality seems to be a love for Elvis. I'm sure Elvis himself would like to slap one of these types around for acting like that. Other than when he went off when some fans attacked Priscilla, he was NEVER known for being mean or disrespectful. He knew who was responsible for where he was in life.
