6:40 Well black mesa does change the weapons, movement and map design compared to the base half life but i wouldn't care that much since black mesa is a remake rather than a remaster (which only updates textures, lightning etc...)
Black mesa didn't get financial backing from Valve. They just got permission to sell the game. HL1 and black mesa are also two very different games. "Standing the test of time" as a title would have been better applied for HL1, which was released in 1998. Black Mesa is new, and has many changes.
