I’m gonna play the campaign again, see how I feel with a fresh game and explore different routes to upgrade everything from scratch

It’s the best thing 343 has put out, and the grapple for campaign is great fun. With that said - The environments and objectives are incredibly repetitive which is the worst thing. Everything about the atmosphere feels Halo except the feeling of wonder traveling around the Galaxy, and encountering wildly diverse locales. Halo CE recycled almost every level but still managed to place us on at least 5-6 completely different feeling locations..Halo infinite maybe has…3? Which are broadly recycled. Incorporating areas which felt totally unique would have been really nice. I thank them for finally getting back to an appropriate LOD for the feel. Just lacking in imaginative environments. It feels like nothing will compare to weird glowing pools on Keyes, or remember the feeling of being on high charity in “Gravemind” or discovering the ancient lost civilization that led to a religion on Delta Halo. Or even the eerie locations of the multilayer maps. They always felt engaging and unique in the first 3 games. That magic of environments has been lost since then in campaign and multiplayer. We need the art direction, and creativity that sparked the whole universe to begin with, along with that thematic ancient culture/ruin/religion meets alien/technology/ astronomy / futuristic. Halo feels like one of the greatest accomplishments of that since Star Wars and has lost it since the original Trilogy.

In my opinion I really liked this campaign, and Cortana’s story from tyrant to realizing her mistake was good, I really hope there are people who stop criticizing like the lame “official” critics of the world and actually use their own feelings towards it.

I did have a good time with infinite's campign. I just wanted dlc to let us see more areas of the ring and see where the story was going.

Does the Halo Infinite campaign and multiplayer have blood splatter decals? I heard 343 added it back in with a update.

It just felt plain, if there was biomes and maybe another type of enemy, (like flood or promethians) there wasnt an enemy to fill that hole. and i think open world is the worst part.

It all comes down to personal choice so everyone will have a different opinion. I’ve been playing Halo since its launch in 2001. I’ve always loved the campaign's and while things can always be done better, most of my greatest memories come from the first three instalments. In saying that, I love Infinite the most. It’s open world, it’s general gameplay. The mechanics, the story line. In my opinion a true masterpiece and I’m grateful for every game they give us regardless of any shortcomings.

Calling it the best feeling halo is such bs, it felt like something was a little off most of the time, didn’t feel bad, but a little off. And saying that it was the first halo to make you feel like a badass is ridiculous you literally take down giant scarabs and fight in insane large battles in those games aswell in 2 and 3 and even reach. I think the story and campaign was very fun but it still felt like there was so much missing, and felt so underwhelming for a game that took them 5 years to make and delay. Also saying chiefs story needs to come to an end right now is Ridiculous, yes he’s been in the games for 20+ years but I honestly think he should have a couple more games in him or atleast have a fully compelling story unlike “infinite” that really impacts the story of all the characters and humanity. It still feels like he isn’t finished with saving humanity even if he did it for a short while before. I personally think you’re just a casual fan that probably hasn’t play the games in awhile. Just wrote a script but didn’t fact check much. Just my thoughts though.

There is a reason Halo Infinite doesn't get the credit it deserves and that's because it doesn't deserve it the campaign is very lackluster very few objectives and what objectives it does have are very repetitive. 2nd very few vehicles I expected there to be a lot more vehicles in Halo Infinite because of it being open world 3rd. Very few weapons and it's just not the lack of weapons either the amount of damage the weapons due the amount of ammo they hold and the amount of extra ammo you can carry for them it's just pathetic. And 4th lack of biomes something that's been part of Halo since the very beginning don't get me wrong Halo Infinite had things in it I liked the graphics are good the weapon designs were good and I liked the addition of the grappling hook, threat sensor, and shield upgrade system but it could have been better a lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot better I felt like the open world had so much potential and then they just didn't do anything with it

Please rewrite this script. Multiple instances you reiterate on core, fundamental information that all Halo players already know and drone on for unnecessarily long chucks of the video. We all know Halo's history as a franchise and how it trailblazed the idea of a console shooter just to fall into irrelevancy under 343i. Don't waste three minutes explaining this to Halo players. Your weak tone and neutral passiveness toward the subject rapidly becomes stale within the first minute. You're behind the curb so hard and your commentary is surface-level at best and repeats basic redundant information. "Halo Infinite was developed by 343i and published by Microsoft." We know. All of us know this. Stop including explanations of redundant core information that the viewer already knows. This is the video you *hopefully learn from* and improve.

im not a huge halo fan or have nostalgia for it, halo infinite was my first halo game, and to me the controls felt great, the open world is fun building up ur tiny army

The campaign wouldve been fantastic if they didnt cut 70% of the content. No space rhinos, no diverse biomes, and no scarab battles. The former 343 devs even said themselves that the management held them back.

"They decided to make weapons have different roles... plasma deals more damage to shields, bullets deal more damage to health" This has been a trait in all Halo games, you're praising Infinite for doing the bare minimum

The story of infinite was barely existent fr you can tell their main focus was a fun single player experience and not continuing this story smh

if Chief does come to an end he must go out with a bang like Johnnsan in Halo 3. Also the Spartan I think who should replace him is Jerome from Halo wars 1 and 2 he is a beast

By 2016 most big voices in the community even turned their opinions around on the muktiplayer too. Halo 4 is regarded as one of the best stories in the series next to 2 and infinite.

The artstyle, the music and VA are the only good things about the Campaign. This Campaign has no story whatsoever, nothing happens in it.

You pretty much perfectly described how I feel about Infinite's campaign. The only thing I partially disagree with is retiring Master Chief. I don't think they should, but I wouldn't dislike it if they did.

Haven't watched but just wanna say I liked the campaign. The pacing can make it a slog, but I've beaten it like 6 times now so

"This ring is different" repeated every 10 minutes with 0 examples of how or why its different. Halo infinite is effectively a far cry reskin. The gameplay rocks but the campaigns story is effectively save the pilot, kill the brute, kill the harbinger. Early on it felt like it was gonna be something about how john has gotten old and tired of the constant war in his life. That was at least the vibe i got from his tone. But the story is big time butt cheeks hands down and doesn't explore that at all. I feel like the standard in gaming has gotten so low nowadays that people are ecstatic to be able to play something that is at least mediocre. The best part in the story is Cortonas message to Master Chief. But beyond that theres about as much character exploration as a book cover
