Muy interesante video reseña! Esto me trae recuerdos, cuando mi hermano mayor armaba y coleccionaba estos Kits Matchbox. Este, en particular, lo obtuvo como a finales de los 70... Saludos cordiales!
Hi Peter, I remember being on a business trip to southern Sweden to negotiate a fork-lift truck contract with a company called BT Rollatruck/Toyota in a town called Linkoping. When we were leaving town I noticed a full-sized Sabb Viggen at the side of the road and low and behold I'd discovered the Saab factory!! It's a small world.
I spent quite a lot of time in Sweden between 2011-2018. I spent some time near Angelholm, a former Saab Viggen fighter base, now the home of Konisegg sports cars. 👍🏻
Hi Peter - I love the way you remember things as you go along eg the thrust reverser. The Fireball XL5 was the Saab/Bofors Rb04 anti-shipping missile. The other one was the Saab/Bofors Rb05 air-to-surface missile with limited air-to-air capability. Matchbox revised this kit some years later to include parts for the 2-seat versions, which I'm not sure if it retained the original 1-seat parts. The later Heller Viggens are amazing as they include parts for single and twin seat and the camera nose variants, although not always shown on the box. They are also highly accurate and not overly expensive. Thanks for another easy-going video.
Hi Neil, Thanks for that, I knew the stores were a Swedish design but forgot the details. I can also strongly recommend the Special Hobby version if you like a proper recent tool Viggen. Thank again for the great feedback. 👍🏻
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab I have the Special Hobby kit. It is certainly more detailed but still manages to require after-market additions to make it correct (and have weapons)!
Main reason why i never bought the Viggen: I was already in my ''painted'' Matchbox period and i looked at the camouflage with a bit of dread... an older nephew had one too and it looked fantastic. They are all low-vis camou now. Maybe i should reconsider my decision and built a later version.
Cool!... I used to have this! 👍🇳🇿
I had this model back in the early 80,s.😊

В сравнении с конкурентами фирма ,,matchbox,, была совсем не плоха...не плоха!!Модели были очень простые,но качество пластика было на высоте.

The missile with the big wings is a anti-ship missile.
Muy bueno, la tengo y también la biplaza.
