Had to drop a comment just because this looks like it was very nicely shot - it looks legit cinematic for what it is, and that's a massive feat, honestly. A lot of these FULL MOON (and other low-budget horror in general) doesn't often look like "FILMS". They seem to have done a nice job with the production value and cinematography.
I went back and watched some of your videos from 10 years ago and then this, and wow. Even back then you did an amazing job. And that's not to say you haven't improved since, but you found perfection and stuck with it for a decade. Love every video you make! It's introduced me to so many series like Puppet Master that I never would have cared about without your channel!
Sorry to hear you had a tough 2023. I've been subscribed to your channel for quite a while now and love every video you make. Looking forward to watching your projects in 2024.
I never stopped! (I just hadn't done a GBF in a while, which I talked about in the community post) The Psychostick intro is for the GBF vids, the Weary Pines intro is for the Exploring and the other ones don't have an intro. :)
If he wants to join the war effort in 1939 he's going to have a bit of a wait... As Hank would say: 'that sure was a mighty fine use of a King of the Hill reference.' Dale: 'Yup.' Bill: 'yup.' Boomhauer. 'mmm hmmm.'
Not only was the prop flag brand new out of the box. The prop flag had the wrong number of stars. That was a flag with 50 stars. The flags during WWII had only 48 stars, because Alaska and Hawaii weren't states yet.
What the hell?!? I remember seeing one of the Puppet Master films many years ago when i was way too young and it made me deathly afraid of the one with the knife hand coming to my room at night and slicing my face open. When the hell did they become loveable scamps that help the protagonist?
Actually making chairs for the reception had me cracking up! "What? We have a reception here at our lavish inn tomorrow? Well, we'd better make some chairs, then!"
I've been watching for years and have recommended your channel to many friends and acquaintances. I very rarely comment on any channel, but want to show my support and appreciation for all of the incredible content you have created. Thank you.
Welcome back! I hope the holidays were good for you & yours. And what a way to kick off the new year! Puppet Master is always fun, even the lame ones. Movies like this are so rare these days. Things like the recreation of the hotel room let you know that these are movies made by people who really care about them. Even if they don't have a huge bloated budget, they use what money they have to make a good product. It makes me miss the SyFy channel before it was all James Bond and disaster movie reruns, and ESPECIALLY makes me miss the video store. And one of the staples at the video store was the Puppet Master movies. Thanks for the nostalgia bomb. (Oh God. A 2010 movie counts as nostalgic!)
Have not been getting notifications for your vids for ages, thought you'd stopped making them. On the plus side it means I have quite a few to work my way through.
Just want to drop a comment to say how much I enjoy your channel. I know 2023 wasn't the best, but lets hope for more cooperation from this platform in 2024.
Cecil, you and Brandon Tenold both of you reviews make me want to see these old classic movies. But it seems to be just as entertaining to watch the review and have a guide who makes funny comments and gives a spin on the content like watching along watching with one of my buddies. I enjoy what you do and wish only the best as we all continue watching your great content, warmest regards Jett-Blast...
Can't wait for this as usual. I'm glad I'm finally getting notifications from your channel again. Before, I had to be online when the video was uploaded or see it whenever I get on UA-cam. Honestly, these Puppet Master movies are all fun to me.
I recently found a cache of Full Moon films on Tubi, they actually had Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys on there too so I'm thinking of watching it. On the topic of Puppet Master though, I'm wondering if anyone else has seen the Puppet Master game on steam? Pretty fun and great for fans. Long time fan and good to see the stuff you're making Cecil, loved that you were in Isod.
Puppet master is one of those series that I always revisit and though I never really cared about the plot of every movie I still found them entertaining.
I was going to wait to watch this, but then I saw the message about your battle with Algorithmo the Great and Powerful. Here is some engagement to hopefully assist you in the ongoing struggle.
6:04 No one else has baseball, really. I hear it's somewhat popular in Japan, and it's occasionally played here in Canada, when it isn't -40 out, as it is currently (aka, the temperature at which F and C agree that it's too damn cold). It's niche--at best--everywhere else, as far as I know...
Not really....there's a Canadian MLB team man...and pretty robust minor league circuit...it's not niche in Canada, its the 4th most popular sport. And Japan has major league baseball and it's the number 1 team sport and is played everywhere....probably one of the most popular American exports post-war.
Seeing a GoodBadFlicks Puupetmaster video uploaded is like seeing Richard Roundtree or Craig R. Baxley in the opening credits of a movie one is seeing for the first time.
Disney catching a stray from the bomb factory had me grinning, did notzi that coming. 😂
Fun fact: Pretty much the entire Full Moon filmography is free on Tubi. Including Poppet Master vs Demonic Toys.
Fun Fact: Ozu was originally written to be an old man resembling Fu Manchu, but David DeCoteau insisted that the character be a dragon lady instead.
for a gay guy he sure knows whats up
That wasn't very fun.
“I don’t want this character to be this ugly stereotype. I want it to be a DIFFERENT ugly stereotype.”
Watching the video when:
- She works at a bomb factory... Disney?
Grab a glass of water, drink half of it, rewind…
- … Disney?
PPPPPFFFFFFF!!!
Keep the vids coming, we'll bounce back that algorithm!
I've never even seen a Puppet Master film, and even I recognized the recycled footage of the castle from a previous video.

I think they missed a big opportunity not utilizing the Japanese tradition of Bunraku in some way. But man, that Disney joke; *chef's kiss*! XD XD XD
No foolin, this morning I said to myself. "I wonder when the next good bad flicks is gonna come out?" thanks for delivering Cecil!
The man gets a lot of respect for a grown man who's got weird stuff going on with these puppets.
Sorry to hear you had a tough 2023. I've been subscribed to your channel for quite a while now and love every video you make. Looking forward to watching your projects in 2024.
I hope Rifftrax gets their hands on this one, too. I love the Disney bomb running gag. Great work as always!
I agree. That shit was fucking hilarious. lol
The only Puppet Master movie I've ever seen is the one Rifftrax did with the guy from The Room in it.
I'm glad you're using the Psychostick opening again! That's my favorite opening.
I never stopped! (I just hadn't done a GBF in a while, which I talked about in the community post) The Psychostick intro is for the GBF vids, the Weary Pines intro is for the Exploring and the other ones don't have an intro. :)
@GoodBadFlicks that makes sense. Thanks for the reply Cecil 🙂
I frecking love this channel! Anytime I need a little fun humor, nostalgia, movie knowledge or recap, GBF is here to save the day :)
Thank you! Glad you enjoy it!
If he wants to join the war effort in 1939 he's going to have a bit of a wait...
As Hank would say: 'that sure was a mighty fine use of a King of the Hill reference.'
Dale: 'Yup.'
Bill: 'yup.'
Boomhauer. 'mmm hmmm.'
I love all the historical inaccuracies.
Well played on that Disney bomb joke.
Not only was the prop flag brand new out of the box. The prop flag had the wrong number of stars. That was a flag with 50 stars. The flags during WWII had only 48 stars, because Alaska and Hawaii weren't states yet.
That's what I'm saying it's almost like they think people are stupid and they're not going to catch stuff like that
Easily the best, most consistent and humble content on the platform. I'll watch it as soon as it comes out, if that helps.
“Who works at the bomb factory. Disney?!”
SAVAGE
What the hell?!? I remember seeing one of the Puppet Master films many years ago when i was way too young and it made me deathly afraid of the one with the knife hand coming to my room at night and slicing my face open.
When the hell did they become loveable scamps that help the protagonist?
Thanks for covering Full Moon content. I would love for them to put more of there classics on Blu-ray especially Seed People.
Actually making chairs for the reception had me cracking up! "What? We have a reception here at our lavish inn tomorrow? Well, we'd better make some chairs, then!"
Loved the 10 years gag. Made me laugh 😂
Hi, Cecil. Sorry you had a rough year. 2024 will be better. Still loving your videos. Keep up the fantastic work
I've been watching for years and have recommended your channel to many friends and acquaintances. I very rarely comment on any channel, but want to show my support and appreciation for all of the incredible content you have created. Thank you.
Here to show support for one of my favorite YT channels. 👍
I agree that this is one of the better films in the series and it was great to see it go back to its roots. Fantastic work as always.
Love your coverage of this series 👏

Love this channel, here's hoping 2024 is better but keep the amazing videos coming.
LOL at the Disney posters in the bomb factory 🤣
Another great episode! Thank you, Cecil!

I've always enjoyed this franchise with all it's charm & fun.
Glad to see you finally do Puppet Master 9! I know you're such a huge fan of the series! Looking forward to the Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys video!
Have not been getting notifications for your vids for ages, thought you'd stopped making them. On the plus side it means I have quite a few to work my way through.
Love your videos. Looking forward to another year of great content.

Love your analysis. Looking forward to more reviews in 2024.
Sorry to hear about your youtube issues. Long time viewer on this format and will continue throughout 2024. Keep up the good work.
In solidarity for the unending struggle against the algorithm.
Glad to see The Puppet Master back! Love the content!
The best channel for B-movie content! Love your videos and jokes man
Its a highlight of my browsing time when I see a new GBF video has dropped. Keep doing what you do!
I only actually watched the very first movie, but I'm always on board with Puppet Master.
Love watching your videos, especially the Puppet Master series.
Welcome back brother
Can't wait for this as usual. I'm glad I'm finally getting notifications from your channel again. Before, I had to be online when the video was uploaded or see it whenever I get on UA-cam. Honestly, these Puppet Master movies are all fun to me.
I've seen a couple of the older Puppet Master movies, always good fun. I'll keep an eye out for this one. Thanks!
Looking forward to continue following your channel in 2024!

As a huge fan of the Puppet Master film series. I loved this very funny new review of the ninth entry. :)

I appreciate it!
Happy New Year! Here's hoping 2024's a great one!
I really do need to check this series out eventually.
I recently found a cache of Full Moon films on Tubi, they actually had Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys on there too so I'm thinking of watching it. Thanks! Looking forward to ISOD 90s!
Very great channel! Easily to binge watch!

Loves these Puppet Master Movies. Glad to see them back
How you managed to resist cutting in that clip from Del Toro's Pinocchio where El Duche says "I lika de poopets" is beyond my understanding.
I was going to wait to watch this, but then I saw the message about your battle with Algorithmo the Great and Powerful. Here is some engagement to hopefully assist you in the ongoing struggle.
Great video! Good to see you back!

Love your content - always a thumbs up from me!
Great video, thank you
Seeing a GoodBadFlicks Puupetmaster video uploaded is like seeing Richard Roundtree or Craig R. Baxley in the opening credits of a movie one is seeing for the first time.
Fuck yes new Good Bad Flicks video I'm so freaking ready!!!
I used to have a.boxset of Puppet Master films on dvd. I think there was 12 of them; and they varied between good cheese and really bad cheese. 🤣🤣
The puppet master franchise is everlasting
Great video! Love the Puppet Master series.
3:05 Reminds me of the US flag hanging up in Racket Girls. "I wonder what country this is taking place in?"
Another excellent video!!! MOAR!!!
