I just got a job working at TTX right next to this yard. I’ve always dreamed of working for the railroad. I just got out of high school. Follow your dreams kids
Impressive. Drone technology (2015) wasn't what it is now (2024) and yet your pilot skills are very much in evidence. I was a Conductor on a railroad for almost 35 years and yet trains still fascinate me. Nice job.
Fabulous quality video keep them coming 😃 Your commentary makes it very interesting viewing in stead of just watching hours of watching lots of trains running 😊 which is ok but I don't learn about what's going on as I lover in the UK 🇬🇧 My long turn wish is to visit the US so I can see the trains for real 😃 Thanks Stevie a train fan in the UK 🇬🇧
Hey I like that video of CSXs North Baltimore Ohio Double Stack Train Yard is there any time In the future can you produce a complete yard video that's an great video I hope you can make another one in the future o k
Excellent footage, info and narration. At first, I thought this was a PR piece for CSX! Why is there no rotor noise from the drone? It's excellent, because we can hear all ambient train sounds...and that annoying beeping of the cranes. I'll look for more of your videos.
December 3, 2017 CSX shutdown the North Baltimore intermodal node permanently. It lasted only from 2011 to 2017. $170M wasted - down the drain - and 300 jobs lost.
I was wondering if any of the comments would point out what a disaster this thing was. Dray drivers will not drive 400 mi to deliver a container. Shippers will just use an over the road truck because it's cheaper
I really do enjoy your drone videos- as a model railroader they provide a perfect viewpoint to assist in modeling, showing details not often seen from the ground and from the perspective of someone looking at a layout. I hope you plan to post more! Just curious- what type of drone are you using? I am not very familiar but thinking it may be fun to have one- for my own model railroad reference activities!

I like that You put a lot of Effort into these Videos and they are very Educational not to sound like a nerd or anything like that lol but I really learn a lot buy watching your Videos My hope only take this Knowledge and be a bowl apply to my Videos!!!
Inter-model, piggyback, (trucking industry) were all supposed to put the railroad out of business 40 years ago. Hmmm. I guess we have come to an agreement.
9 out of 10 - you dropped a point with the sound. Suggest you put a stretch t-shirt between your mouth and the mic - your 'p' sounds come through as a big thump in the sub woofer. Beautiful video though.
Sadly, despite the massive investment and relative newness of this facility, operations are being severely curtailed, as it does not fit in with the operating scheme of the present CSX CEO, E. Hunter Harrison. I have one minor nit to pick with your otherwise outstanding videos. Your 30+ second intros are tediously long and unnecessary. Please consider trimming them down.

That area of the yard looks like it can have potential. All flatland and no major thruways. It can expand huge, if need be.
Nice video
Wow I really like how you caught that thru train at 1:55 - fantastic!
Wow, those cranes, and the little blue ones that straddle the containers on the ground are insane!
That last train the Union Pacific one over the Diamond. You also filmed my dads work truck again sitting next to the tracks by deshler tower
Doing nothing?
Drones really make a wonderful addition to a video. Top notch production.

Nice job.
Awesome drone footage! Thanks DiB
Excellent video not just trains going past a level crossing like most post.
Beautiful well thought out presentation.
GREAT PRODUCTION
Very cool video

Great footage, thank you
I would love to see some shunting going on in these big yards, they are huge to what we have over here, excellent video.
Fenomenal filmación, muchas gracias.
Awesome!
I really love these videos!
Fantastic job, very well done!
Great Video. Loved It.

Ive slept at the North Baltimore Petro truck stop. Has a diamond right beside it and its awesome action
Insane. That's as big as Long Island!
Awesome video! Love the drone capabilities.
Rip Stobe !!!!!!!
Was looking for this comment. Looked up this yard after seeing his video.
This is the largest and most realistic HO train layout ever!! Even the snow is scattered and not over done. A really good job!

Nice job
Best train vids in terms of production value on the Internet. Excellent job!
pretty cool!

I would love to visit that place
Thanks for the video...good information and good video. I'm surprised they didn't automate the container load/unload crane operation at this new yard.
December 3, 2017 CSX shutdown the North Baltimore intermodal node permanently. It lasted only from 2011 to 2017. $170M wasted - down the drain - and 300 jobs lost.
Thanks E.H. Harrison...

Wrong I work for csx the yard in north Baltimore is still open I work at Csx intermodal Cleveland
Really intersting video! How many trains work at North Baltimore?
This is a really cool video.
What is that beeping sound?
The awful crane beepers to let ground laborers know they’re moving.
It's you Craftyfoxe!
I'm surprised they let you fly your Phantom overhead like that.
its actually illegal
epic!
Stopped & got some pictures of the facility from the road just south on 9/16/16 on our way to Fostoria
Great job man!
Adorei ! !!
There is one thing missing, As far as storing contanters. Computer to store them and to place them on trains. Like a 6 storey building
I heard they are shutting this down.
I heard the cranes are being dismantled and sent to S Carolina.
Why in the world would they shut this place down? There's so much opportunity for business in most of Ohio...
Top video - don't know how you keep the drone out of the sound either!
Впечатляващо!

Awesome video and how did csx let you that close to the cranes
That beeping is really annoying
Just think... those folks have to hear it all day!
I'll bet they mentally tune it out, negating the purpose for which they were mandated.
WHAaaat!!!:-P
@@KutWrite Hope they use earphones like airport tarmac staff, so only people on the ground will have to listen to the beep sound.
I want to see more of these drones being used in rail fanning
Was that UP EMD loco one of the new SD70AHs or was it a normal ACE?

Awesome Video Dude! How did you get your camera in the sky?
He used a drone
what are you using, a phantom 2 vision plus?
I have a question because I was wondering if I would be able to fly over railyards, is it okay to fly over them?
It’s not illegal to do so, just don’t interfere with the train crews.
@@DelayInBlockProductions okay awesome, I was wondering because I am thinking of buying a drone for railfanning, thank you!
@@DelayInBlockProductions one more thing, where did you find that out?
The FAA owns the airspace, not the railroad.
@@DelayInBlockProductions Awesome 🤙
you should go to the waycross train station in georgia
What caused them to close this yard?
I am just here to tell you that a person on youtube named Jennifer Cooker has copied this video and posted it on his/her channel. Great video btw
Other than the annoying beeping, occurs to me that there's not a lot of freight movement happening there.
ever been to bellevue, ohio? pretty busy ns yard.
How long does a battery charge?
Somthing CN needs to do. Their Chicago Terminal can't handle the Prince Rupert expansion.
one of the last half dozen surviving WW1 vets lived in n baltimore, ohio
I can't understand why I can't subscribe to this channel can someone be able to tell me why I subscribe
I have seen this yesterday, please why it's reuploaded?
Someone complained about a technical error I made: railroadfan.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=31227
Delay In Block Productions Ah, ok! Nuts! :)
Delay In Block Productions But this video is so great, I can watch it a third time!
trainfart why you complain it's reuploaded, then say it's so great ...?
Inter-model, piggyback, (trucking industry) were all supposed to put the railroad out of business 40 years ago. Hmmm. I guess we have come to an agreement.
is this place closed yet?
As an intermodal terminal, yes. Apparently it's still minimally used as a switching yard to hand off trains between railroads
It’s a shame they closed this yard
They closed North Baltimore??
Hakeem Sd70M it’s been reduced to one crane and limited staff. I used to work there for the cranes.
Did they allow this
Yes
Oh no not Baltimore😮 that's where the bridge collapse happen 😪
9 out of 10 - you dropped a point with the sound. Suggest you put a stretch t-shirt between your mouth and the mic - your 'p' sounds come through as a big thump in the sub woofer. Beautiful video though.
So is this Baltimore or Ohio ? ..looks like Ohio
North Baltimore, Ohio
It's actually between Hoytville and north Baltimore

YankInGA now that harrison passed, CSX is epected to scuttle less due to not having an incompetent dollar chaser in charge
and is now shut down.
Great video!
Why is it every train youtuber intro is long as hell. Like get to the point it should take like 10 seconds
