Baldur's Gate 3 OST - Mountain Pass

- I do not own the music obviously, just loved the track and couldn't find it anywhere, so I recorded it in the game.
This is the music that plays in the mountain pass, near the githyanki creche.
“It’s just a small mountain pass, no need to overdo it”
the composer: 🔥
same with lathander temple (or was it rosymorn)
After being stuck in the Underdark for so long, entering the Mountain Pass was such a breath of fresh air for me. The gentle light, the birdsong, the breathtaking view, and this ost backing it all? This game is so phenomenal for immersion.
its a shame you cant just put camera on 3rd person just to take in the amazing views in mountain pass. I think thats one of the things I wish they carried away from divinity where if there is amazing view the camera kinda extends and you can really take it in
@@galax12370 you can zoom in and switch off interface elements though. I made beautiful screenshots that way
Completely agree
also best camp in the game
Exact same for me. Everyone involved in making this game cooked, and they each cooked 5 Star meals that would make Gordon Ramsay cry
1:13 When the strings kick in, SO GOOD!
That was the moment I fell in love with this piece.
It reaches a part of my heart that nothing else can
Gives me huge Lord of the Rings vibes!
it feels like lifting up from the ground, flying for that bitter sweet and brief moment
A crime this isn’t on the official soundtrack it’s amazing, one of my favorite songs in the whole game
“Good morning, Lathander (I suppose all mornings for you are good, you making them up out of all the bright bits of night and getting them shine worthy and such). I have two new boys (Luke & Elliott), and I should like them to see lots of your nice sunups. So if you would watch over them, I should be most thankful. I am poor as muck, but have some heart left to give (that which has not been eaten up by the boys and their Mum). So that bit is yours if you keep them seeing sunrises. Thanks.”
Harrison Fields
Something about that little bit of flavor text you find at a shrine on the path with this music made me stop and appreciate the world building.
Everything. Everything about this game has so much love and care put into it. Stop and look, and you'll find little bits of worldbuilding like this everywhere. This game deserved GoTY.
“I am poor as muck, but have some heart left to give…” I don’t know why but that sentence gives off so much emotion 🥲
No joke, I lean heavy into the roleplay aspect of the game. I found this letter by accident after a harrowing near death experience getting the Blood of Lathander, I'm a pact of the chain warlock who used unholy power to bind this holy weapon to me.
I find this letter with this music playing.. and for whatever reason the heartfelt genuineness of this unknown pilgrim spoke to me. This song to me sounds like redemption, second chances, hope, a new dawn after a long night.
My warlock stopped hurting people and started helping people from that point on, I multiclassed him into paladin.
He still has the letter, it never leaves his inventory.
@@jakelee5096 Isobel’s letter to her father when I loot Kethric’s body is the one I always keep on me every play through. I always RP as a good character, even when I play durge, and I imagine a timeline where I do convince Ketheric to come back to Selune
@@lewisliu5006 I think that was originally going to be a possibility but they couldn't make it work for one reason or another. It also would completely skip the (or require an alternate) final boss in Act 2, so it could have been logistics as well.
I'm so sad I couldn't find this song on the official soundtrack, it's my favourite from the game. So peaceful and exciting! Thanks for recording it
Its a banger 👌
Same! I was looking for it on Spotify and no dice (pun not intended). 😔
I was seriously bummed that it wasn't on the OST. It's the most soothing song from the entire game 🙃
Same! This one and "Wash My Pain Away" are my favorites, but neither appear on the official soundtrack sadly
The OST version is a scam 😂😂 Literally missing 75% of the songs. Damm Larian got us good with this one. We can forgive them because the game is the best thing since Skyrim 13 years ago.
This piece of absolute beauty is everyone’s reward for not skipping the Mountain Pass. It gets me right in the heart!
Skipping the mountain pass opens the path to one of the most heartbreaking and horrible endings for Laezel. Just search up worst Laezel ending on UA-cam and you’ll see.
Laezel died in my honor run lol@@Infiltrator_
Bobby is a mad genius and the fact that he didn't win soundtrack of the year 2023 is criminal
soundtrack of the year in our hearts! and i like to think his music was a BIG part of why BG3 was so well loved by the people
He got recognised at the baftas in the UK :)
He'll be at the Southbank centre in London tomorrow where they are performing the music from BG3!
This game's OST is something out of this world. You literally can take any random track and it will be a masterpiece.
Thanks to the compositor ! 👑
Fully agreed
It’s ok, but this track is really good!
DOS 2 has even better ones
@@DDosAndDonts lol not even close, I played both games.
I really hope Borislav Slavov can fully adapt this for uploading on Spotify, has to be one of the best and most memorable tracks in the game - definitely the most relaxing orchestral piece for me
This one holds a special place in my heart. After playing early access for 200 hours, always getting halted at the mountain pass entrance, the feeling of finally entering it, taking in the gorgeous scenery with this playing in the background... it was more beautiful than I could have expected.
My first thoughts when I got to this area was, “seriously? This was what Halsin was warning about? This looks infinitely better than the underdark.” But then I got to the creche…what a f-ing nightmare
make sure to kill the traders the last though because you can sell your spoils to them after you clear a room and their money never runs out
I have min maxxed the game through all of the 9 hells and back and I hate the Creche with a burning passion. Even with bliss spores and morninglord's radiance it's so stupidly annoying, especially the marksmen. The bastards never miss and deal WAY too much damage for lvl 5 enemies
@@lukewilmington9807Are you talking about the fight against the Inquisitor in the temple after the bridge? Or are you talking about fighting THE ENTIRE CRÈCHE ???
@@jeohranalfhir8366 The ENTIRE CRECHE. Not just the men, but the women and children too
Forget the creche - the undead patrol was so hard, ominous and CREEPY to run into so suddenly as this calm music hums.
This theme is so peaceful. It almost made me forget the amount of goblins I just slaughtered.
I have been looking everywhere for 3:40. It's the song that plays when you leave act 2 after lifting the curse. I looked everywhere and I couldn't believe it's not in the actual ost. Finally here after in a replay I heard it in the mountain pass. Argh, it gives me so many chills.
I've been playing for several hours (70+) i'm just about to lift the curse and you are telling me I'm not in Act 3 yet?
I don't think I'll live long enough to finish the campaign, it's a huge game.
@@chester3457 act 3 took me more hours to complete than all of act 1 and 2 combined.
@@chester3457I’m at 70+ hours and just wrapping up act 1 😂
@@stevanhaire5300 My first playthrough ended after 150 hours
Sameee My heart dropped when I heard it in mountain pass after my 4th run and I instantly went to search it up
Best zone in the game. I was sad when you couldnt return after act 2.
This song and area makes me incredibly happy. Thank you for posting it.
Borislav is a genius. Shame that many soundtracks aint available yet to find
For real. As much as I'm enjoying the game, I felt so disappointed to find out that the soundtrack bundled with the deluxe edition has so many compositions missing. We've been done dirty in that regard, ngl.
That undead fight 10/10
turn undead go brrrrr
you just fuckup 2 steps in honour mode and boi prepare to replay 40 hours of gameplay 😢
Took me like an hour to defeat em, but that was cause I like the fight theme
@@chester3457based
1:56 to 3:30 gives me shivers.
This has such a lotr vibe to it.
3:40
The horn heralds the Morninglords' light
In his merciful radiance, his departed followers find peaceful rest
For they know that the new beginings to come, will be spurred forward by the brimming break of dawn
this song heals something in me
Just here for the part at 1:14 :)
If you liked that part, it sounds a lot like a nod to the main theme from Divinity Original Sin 2
@@Wimikk yeah i clicked that timestap and instantly thought that is Divinity like :D
After spending hours in the underdark - then realizing we could have gone this way - sheesh.
Last night I was playing and just stopped for a few minutes as this played while my character looked over the mountains. That’s when you know a soundtrack is good, it makes you stop playing for a few minutes 😄
The beginning of this track reminds me of Conan the Barbarian - absolutely brilliant and this has become my favourite from BG3.
Very much a Howard Shore / Lord of the Rings sound on this one.
There's a couple tracks in this game that hit LOTR levels for sure. This an the Rosymorn Monastery track are two such examples.
Agreed@@simonkatz3779 !
It's got a bit of everything - I get huge Conan vibes from the opening.
This ost is so beautiful, and the scenery of this level is breathtaking.
The secret best track of bg3.
Oh!? your finally finished with the early access?, here's a soundtrack for waiting so long enjoy.
One of the reasons this part of the game is one of my favourites
It gives off great vibes. Some of my favorite music in the game.
I'm so sad this was not included in official soundtrack. Come on Larian 😭
the crime of giving the smallest region the most beautiful vistas and soundtrack shall never be forgiven
I've also had this play whilst in camp it brought back some old DA:O feels.
This track is incredibly, utterly, astoundingly and ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT.
I genuinely love this motif 3:40
Thank you for recording this. It was my favorite song in the game and I couldn't find it anywhere
I got a warning message before coming here saying I am going to find it a very difficult struggle. I hesitated, put pursued then this started playing with the environment and i didn't have a single regret. Then i met the necromancer warriors and realised i'd Fkd up and needed to head back and level up.
1:04 this is my absolute favorite part… it makes me so happy?
By far the best Soundtrack to anything in 15 years easily
This is giving the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion vibes. Loving it!
3:40 is unmatched.
I'm continuously failing saving throws against this song 😢
3:40 this part is my favorite. Mountain pass and the night before Baldurs Gate are both so comforting
There's only one other media that made me feel like this with his OST, and that's The Lord of The Rings.
Congratulation mr. Slavlov, you're in step with Howard Shore ❤
3:40, shadow curse lifeted from the land
I love this, I also love the waltz version of the power!
Waltz version?
@@bjornarholst I think it's called Orchestral version in the official soundtrack. It does feel like a bit like a waltz
the best song in the game my favorite part is 0:56 to 1:30 especially the part at 1:03 ITS JUST MMMMHN
Here for thr first
15 seconds...idk why but I love that part so much.
This also plays when the shadow curse is lifted when you finish act 2. Love this theme so much
aaaah what a masterpiece. beautiful.
There are more soundtracks that not in the offical playlist like the one plays at where we uniting the strings in neutloid ship when a dragon attacking us. Sadly i cant find it anywhere its one of my favourite😢
Look for "Nautiloid Crash BG3". I just found it
We need this in the official Soundtrrack/ on Spotify!
Aww, I love this song so much!! 🥰💖 Tysm for sharing this ❤
2:26 is my favorite part 🤤 But 4:22 ain't bad either.
I wish this was on Spotify 😫
This song ooze adventure, it sound like a ost from the LOTR movie.
Such a beautiful song, yet i feel like the actual mountain pass couldve contained so much more content. Aside from the group of undead its just a boring walk straight to the monestary and picking up a couple of herbs on the way…
1:13 melts my heart every time
This song made me like Lathander
The best theme of this Amazing game!!❤
This song makes me want to hug all of my friends and cry
Let me hug you 🫂
this is what heaven feels like
Really loved this theme. Wish there was more to the mountain pass. Sadly at it is the Creche.
4:22 brings tears to my eyes 🥰🥰
This feels like it came straight from Xenoblade Chronicles
Why they have to go this hard for a smaller area like this! But tbh, this ost plus the view is so remarkable.
Outstanding song. Thanks❤
Oh man this hits like a truck
Maybe the melody had to relate something with Lae'zel, her unwavering determination yet going through a betrayal.
echt mooi mijn G
wassup my G
2:10
Still missing Inon Zur and Jeremy Soule
This game is incredibly buggy, act 3 is semi disappointing.
But, through all of that. No game has made me *feel* like this in like a decade. Happy, sad, scared, heartbroken and just flat out emotional. I haven't liked an RPG cast this much since dragon age origins.
The soundtrack is gorgeous and honestly i think the reason this game is getting so much good press is not because it's the best game ever made. It's simply a good game, with no microtransactions, made by a team of passionate people who only wanted to make a good game for the players to enjoy.
It's one thing to have a buggy game that's also a soulless cash grab, but it's another to have a game that makes you care and find joy in spite of the bugs. That's what separates great games from trash.
It's hard to find the words, but TLDR: It's very easy to forgive a quest that breaks 80 hours in when 79 of those hours were some of the best you experienced in almost a decade. Is it an excuse? Well yeah actually, too long have we been dealing with games that are both bad games AND buggy pieces of shit.
Finally we get some passion to go with it. I can look past bugs if behind the curtain i'm looking at a human face, rather than a corporate shell.
I Love DA:O and am happy to be able to experience something new which gives me similar feelings. BG3 is far from perfect but it has so much soul
yeah act 3 feels rushed. a lot of bugs and cut content (and cut epilogue) they also cut the upper city even though they said it's going to be in the game. great game disappointing final act. they'll probably fix it in the definitive edition though
Glad this aged poorly
@@larasgate3 How did it age poorly? They won game of the year lmao.
@@mikeity2009 because I'm playing Act 3 on PS5 and everything is fine. Probably since the big update.
I also don't think that Act 3 is rushed there are as many details as in the other acts
