Six days passed, since I finished my first campign. I still can not believe, it is over. Those six weirdos and their stories really became a part of me forever. This music will always remind me of all heartfelt moments in our camp. Best videogame I've played in many years.

This song is the moment I realized how much I feel for Gale 😭 and the many Gales out there - all carrying a self-destructive orb of their own … 💔 It’s painful when you ponder what your life ever meant to anyone. It cant be easy devoting yourself to a purpose only to reflect if anything of it mattered. You are enough. 😭

This OST hits even harder after Gale's romance cutscene in act 2
That cutscene was a masterpiece and so well-written. it touched my heart.
That scene is precisely why I’m here. This track does a really good job driving home the feeling that he’s just trying to capture what little happiness he can before he can’t anymore. Then there’s a little shift in the tone of the song, as he realizes that he still has something to live for. 🥺
Came here for this moment. The alchemy of such a poetic moment and this song was just incredible. I've never shivered like this in front of a game. I'm so glad to finally find it !
It's just perfect, it's not only a romance scene but it's where Gale finally understands that he doesn't want to die, he has something to live for. Probably one of the best written scene of the game.
I got to that cutscene last night and I genuinely want to cry about it, it's so beautiful and this score is a huge part of it. However this seems to be a different segment of the score, it's missing the flute
@@Si1verwing713that portion is from Wash My Dreams Away; this is the part the kicks in in the astral portion of the scene if you choose to be with Gale that way.

I'm so sad this one and a few others didnt make it onto th official spotify album. its so beautiful, sad and longing but also optimistic and energetic. it unintentionally became my character's theme in our recent DnD session and I think it fit perfectly. such a great song thank you Borislav!

This song reminds me of Mass Effect sadder parts as well as Dragon Age. Wonderfully created to blend into any world, truly a masterclass song.
So true! Sounds like in mass effect 3 when it's showing the flashbacks of all/any characters lost throughout the games leading to the end scenes

The romance scenes with the other characters were cute and sexy, but act II with gale truly swept me off my feet.

The best thing about having a new patch is getting new music from you! It's perfect as always and conveys the emotions of someone knowing they may die any minute, yet they must still hold onto life. This game wouldn't be the masterpiece it's turning into without your work! Thank you a thousand times!
My favorite song of all. Second favorite is the Last Light Inn theme. Both are so beautiful and hopeful, with a twinge of longing, sadness, and urgency.

the first time I heard this track was when I got gale's magic lesson scene in act 1. the part where the music swells at 1:32 is when he said "Magic is my life..." and it brought such a layer of emotion to the scene that I had to pause the game to cry for awhile. it was so beautiful

The first time I paid attention to this song was when Astarion confessed his feelings for me. When he told me I am incredible and that I deserve something real, followed up by "I want us to be something real", I started to cry. Never in my life have I felt the same way about a character's confession. Combined with this beautiful song, his words sounded so sincere, so tender and fragile, he voluntarily showed me his vulnerable side, and if you know his backstory, it really hits hard.
Everytime I listen to this song, I remember him and how much love he needs (which of course, I am more than happy to provide to him!!). Hell, even the title "Wash My Pain Away" says everything... He opened up to me, hoping that, even if I can't erase his horrible past, perhaps I can give him a better present, and make all his pain go away by giving him support and unconditional love. I love him so much and this song is the living proof of it.

@@mikeity2009 I believe there's not a very big difference in quality of the two. Both are amazing, that being said, there's a LOT more songs in the FF soundtrack. BG3 has every song a masterpiece though.
Don't get me wrong, BG3's soundtrack is quite amazing for sure, but FF16 has honestly one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in any videogame 👍
Also, considering BG3 won so many awards that time, FF16 deserved to win for best music.

everyone else commenting about their companion romancing scene, and here i am, crying like an idiot because my dog just died a few days before i started playing this game, and this music just showed up at random when i was sorting my inventory at camp. It started playing because i was taking so long, i didn't want to leave camp because scratch strolling around my tav, wagging his tail, made me feel a little less lonely, and i didn't really have the mental energy to engage with the quests properly... every time i hear this music i just think of my dog. he was the best boy, like a slightly longer-haired, floppy-eared scratch. I missi him so much.

I just finished the game after taking my time and exploring everything it has to offer. Initially I was desperate to romance Astarion but I had a really hard time since his morals does not align with mine, and all of a sudden Gale was falling in love with my Tav. I was like, “ok whatever” but oh man when the act 2 romance scene played out, I fell inlove with him instantly. I kept watching replays of this scene since I cant get over it. In the end I married him and I saved him. Im like this little girl blushing and kicking my feet when he tells me he loves me :(
