The B-1B Lancer is a supersonic strategic heavy bomber used by the United States Air Force. It has a variable-sweep wing design and can carry a payload of up to 75,000 pounds (34,000 kg), which is the heaviest of any U.S. bomber. The B-1B was first envisioned in the 1960s and its development went through several stages before the B-1B variant was introduced in the 1980s. It has seen action in various conflicts, including Operation Desert Fox, the NATO action in Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
The A-10C Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft designed for close air support of ground forces. It is particularly effective in engaging armored vehicles and has excellent maneuverability at low airspeeds and altitude.
