- Two US Air Force B-1 bomber planes launch at full afterburner, brighter than our previous video, shaking the ground in the process. After a counter-maritime mission in Northern Europe, they return for a flypast before landing at RAF Fairford in the UK, where they're deployed. Sound warning. ⚠️

The supersonic bomber planes (nicknamed 'Bones') of the 7th Bomb Wing from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, are currently deployed to RAF Fairford, a bomber airfield for the US Air Forces in Europe. There are a total of four B-1 Lancers deployed for Bomber Task Force 23-3 in the European theater.

Man… the B1B is gorgeous!
As a Wichita resident back in the late 80’s and early 90’s we had a SAC here. My neighbor was a B1 Pilot. Watching and hearing the B1 at dusk or night taking off with full military power on a cold night was spectacular to witness. Flames seemed to 100 ft long and the ground and air thundered. The Bone is a beautiful aircraft.
And windows rattled like crazy. I was at McConnell 94-98. They left while I was there.

I've said it before, that is a fabulous looking aircraft. Please USAF don't retire it.
I love the B1. But you don’t keep an aircraft In service because it’s fabulous looking. The B21 is supposed to replace all the existing bombers. Hopefully it doesn’t have any unforeseen shortcomings

They have tried to retire it but newer bombers cannot match the B-1 in performance.
I was in SAC in the mid-60's, nav radar repair, B-52, witnessed B-58's takeoff at dusk at the SAC Bomb Comp was truly awesome. The BONE is aesthetically maybe the finest example of an airborne weapon.
Hands down one of my all time favorite aircraft. Few even compare.
People talk about the B-2 but it can't fly in the rain. The B-1 is the star of the show.
I thought the B1bs were the hardest things on the runway, but I think the badass rabbit takes them close😂

Nice work, the burners are getting more obvious and now for the night burn❤🔥. Last time they used the DARK c/s for the night mission but they seem very attached to SPICY on this deployment.

Just out of curiosity, how did you manage to get that high above the fence? Was you on top of a van or in a scissor lift? Most collapsible ladders I've seen don't go that high 🤔
I might have to get back down to get the 🦴 coming in to land myself, as I missed it last week 😖

I do know that these can carry a nuke payload.
So was wondering if they where loaded with conventional bombs or nukes ????
Not sure. For some reason the Pentagon didn't return my call. Maybe they were on a coffee break.
Conventional payload only now. The nuclear capability was disabled by 1995 with the removal of nuclear arming and fuzing hardware, also modification of aircraft hardpoints to prevent nuclear weapon pylons from being attached, removal of weapons bay wiring bundles for arming nuclear weapons.

Still waiting for them to take off today! Already refuelled and bombs are loaded but no movement 😢. Great video though!!
Purely based on experience, I'd have a guess they probably won't go up today. They usually take a 'breather' day for maintenance after going up. They could still go up if needed, of course. And there's always the possibility of a night mission, too.
If you're able to, I'd stay until at least tomorrow midday if they haven't gone up by then. Well worth checking out the local pubs and somewhere to stay. I waited 25 hours for their first launch 😂.

where is Fairford in relation to London?
@cogitoergosum1474 About two hours drive west of London. The M4 motorway runs direct from London to Swindon, the nearest city to RAF Fairford, and then it's just a few minutes north along the A419.
So we are staging the US to drop bombs on a foreign country? Nobody a bit concerned about that or do we not care about our constitution anymore?
Do we just accumulate these military toys and not use them. Man we could set the world straight if we just unleashed some of this power.
