As every D&D player knows, a good DM is crucial for your enjoyment of the game. This holds true for Warhammer 40k Crusade too. It's more than organizing games and writing narratives. After running campaigns for 4 years, I want to share with you what I've discovered.

Are you just starting Crusade?
This was very helpful and I am excited for more content. This was the first video I watched of yours and it was presented very well.
I am just getting into 40K because I find Crusade and Crusade Mastering very interesting. I DM/GM Tabletop RPGs since I was a teenager so being able to tell stories and a narrative through this medium is awesome.

Indeed, DM-ing is a really rewarding experience. I run D&D for my friends too. Letting players enjoy the experience is what makes that role enjoyable. Same for 40K.

This is great advice. I'm in a campaign that has been running for 6 months. Unfortunately, due to a lot of early losses, my army has fallen behind and I'm constantly getting stomped by the winning side. It's at the point where I can't win any of my games. So, I'll be dropping out. Hopefully the next one will be better.

@@CrusadeHouse Yeah. Iron Hands. The combination of nerfs from Games Workshop and only being able to commit to one game a month has left me in a pretty bad position. I guess these things happen.

Do you have place with some of your old campaigns format that we can check out for a guide?
Here's the format from the campaign season that just passed. It's the same one that we've used for our previous campaigns as well. It's an automated Google Sheets that tracks scoring from forms submitted by the players.

Can I see your tracking sheet? I run crusades here in my local area and am curious to see how you have it set up from an administrator's perspective.
Here's the sheet we did last season. There's quite a bit of VLookup from Google Forms that players use to submit their games.

Do I introduce my characters by name? I honestly don’t know. I don’t think I’ve introduced *Master Gremory, Master of the 5th Order, Wielder of the Ashen Blade* yet.
I’ve introduced his lieutenants, though. I think my friends are tired of hearing about those 2.
