    This is such a great technique. I can’t wait to try it. I think I like the matte finish best. My late partner was a potter and she used to do raku. I love the look so much.

    I love it! Raku is such a neat, neat, and beautiful process. I've tried a few raku firings and can't wait to try this on a gourd!

    Simply AMAZING!!!!
    Incredible results using this faux technique on gourds. I have Calabash (Jicara) tree outback and have been saving for years, waiting for just this spark of inspiration. Thank You!!

      I may add white glue to paint for tackiness. So jealous of your custom gourd trays! My gourds are about small head size.
      Oh what fun now that I've seen your paint technique!!

      I order pine needles from various places, same with imitation sinew, just do a google search you will find sellers.
