Hey Ray-I like that your t-shirt matches the color of the new cars and engines. That is a nice professional touch. Beautiful new cars and glad you finally got them. Well worth the wait!
Great looking set Ray. I didn't see how the lights were powered. I actually have two different 5 car sets of the 2500's. The older set has wires from the pickup to the bulb housing. Some of the cars had wires that were very brittle and broken off at the pickup. Gave the indication the bulbs were out. The later cars had wipers.
Nice job. Considering the age they look like they're in excellent condition. For the interior lights I use 12 volt auto L.E.D. lamps. Good luck and have fun!
Nice to see you complete your set. This was the very first Lionel train I ever saw. It was my cousin's and by the time I saw it, it was broken and inoperable.
You’ve got yourself a beautiful train set. I actually have that set. It’s the #2190W Super Speedliner Set that was made in 1952. It’s one of Lionel’s most iconic sets. Adding the #2343C “B” Unit, and the #2530 Railway Express Baggage Car really compliments the set. I wish you many years of enjoyment with it. Tom
Very nice passenger cars! I bought those same cars to go with one of my 2343 and 2344 ABA sets. I pieced mine together one by one to spread the cost out. I don’t know if I’ve ever run them on you tube. I need to do that. The set looks great on your layout. Ken

The whole bulb and socket just pops in and out I never saw anything like it . It was really easy to change a bulb , great design.

Nice set Ray
My dad had a set like that. It was sold recently so there's a nonzero chance it IS my dad's set.
I here you
What would be good to use for shining up those cars? I have a set and they are slightly discolored.
Not sure but I remember seeing videos about it .
Who makes that stock yard panels
I made the wooden ones .
@@raysrails2164 they look great
Are those 2383? They could easily pull twice as many cars.
2343 l placed a drop of oil on the axils and they pull the 5 well . Thanks for watching .
