This is the foundation of instructional ratings for the USPA and it has to be a granite bedrock for their development as potential skydiving instructors. The two days in the classroom are hard for the candidates and for the examiner. It all pays off when you see them teach properly on the ground and follow it up by acting as a terrible student in the air and they are able to not only address the mess that we put on their hands but to rectify us "bad students".
